I think I sort of have it figured out. When you draw a circle, the lines have to cross or touch once. It is usually easier for me to draw an alpha. It doesn't always work, but I have had the best luck like that.

Your video showed me that I was drawing my circles too small. With a little practice in the sky, I had it on my first try after watching this. Thank you for making me not lose my mind.

Also, for the record they don't have to be clockwise circles either. Mine are all counterclockwise and they worked.

I struggled a lot with it on my first playthrough, the second time around it was quite easy. The Celestial Brush has quite a learning curve with the Wiimote, but you will master it in the end.
