Brian Cox is a wonderful Character actor who played Hanibal Lecter in Manhunter (1987) before that role was taken by Anthony Hopkins. He also played Menaleaus in Troy opposite Brad Pit? He really is a talented, gritty actor although he must be about 60 now! Strangely Peter Mullin, Gerry Butler, Sean Connery and James McAvoy all come from the Irish community in Scotland, a community which has produced Billy Connolly and composer James McMillan too. BTW 25% of Scots have Irish blood!
