@EthanCole15 Hell yeah, I'm black and I KNOW how you feel! I can't stand these two especially. They are so ignorant and disrespectful to no end. When we strike bake they want to holler that we are being racist to them...Go Figure
he's right. you are the land of your birth. indian american are the first peoples. i wont fall into this split and divide MSM tries to play us off each other. im 25%, or im 50% native blood, etc. its all b.s. i used to fall into that game until i realized there are many good just as there are many bad across the board.
less govt intervention is better. dont believe me.. look at what chief james billie did for the seminole in fla.
God's blessings to all my brothers.. be white, yellow, black, etc
Wtf? I'm native american cause I was born in the United States? What kind of effed up statement is that? He doesn't even know his own tribe. If you were born in the states that just makes you a citizen. And yeah we don't like the name indian, because we arn't from India. And we don't like the term Native American because we were here before this land even became America. We are tribal people. Call us by what we actually are, Cherokees, Choctaws, Creeks, Seminole etc.
@XxRomanov93xX I prefer indian, if i had to choose. Because, when columbus landed on the islands, he called us "indio" which means in with god. At the time, India wasn't called India, it was Hindustan. The word Indian did not exist. But you're right, i rather be identified as Lakota, or Omaha, or Navajo. But see i'm all three, so usually i can't just claim one. Preferring the term "in with god"
@carsiotto just settin the record straight with the word and the origin of it. In this battle, there's really no way to win. haha...but like i said, i'm of three nations, can't just use one. feel me? lol
@means55 The spaniards were calling them Indios, not "en dios". This is a silly mistake made by few. Europeans were calling them(Indians from India) " Indus", derived from, I think the persian word, hindu. This evolved through the latin language into what we know as "indios". So no, technically it wasnt "India" but yes, columbus was referring to the Indians from india (hindu) when he identified the "american indian". Secondly, columbus was a monster.
The P.C. police had better toss Anderson in a "re-education center" like their hero Mao liked to do. The progressive fascists love to play racist "gotcha" with anyone who won't use their Orwellian doublespeak P.C. It's really time to stop crucifying people who say "Indian" or have a slip of the tongue. The real racists don't wear white sheets. The real racists perpetuate racist programs disguised as "welfare" programs. The real racists keep minorities down so they can get their votes.
@gme1776 I think people should name themselves. And if a person of indigenous descent doesnt want to be called an indian, then its time for you to crawl out of your little dark box and realize that people are capable of self-identification. You arent even part of the equation.
"I'm a Native American: I was born in the United States" WHAT AN IDIOT

@means55 Why would you want to be called anything that had to do with columbus, no matter how you try to romanticize it? hahaha
