Wow! Looks like you were lucky with the weather. Smashing scramble isn't it?When my son and I went up in July we went round the front of Crowberry Tower and up the ridge to the top. The path round the front is a bit "airy" but is fine with care. The top of the tower is a brilliant spot for a picnic if the weather's good. The descent means you arrive right at the gap.

Superb climb! They went the right way when I went around the front of Crowberry Tower and had to backtrack!

1) I went the wrong way at The Crowberry Tower and had to backtrack
2) I took a family photo for them at the Crowberry Gap and let them move on so I could get some footage
That's my excuses and I'm sticking to them ... LOL
