DAYUM!!!! I can't believe how quick Angry Birds started and finished!!! I've got a 2 year old iPhone 3G and it's practically unusable now.... piece of crap in fact!!! I would get the Desire HD, but the battery life is too big an issue for me. Instead, I'm going to get the Desire S which should be out next month! Can't wait for similar performance to the HD from that.

Why do these companies insist on taking on Apple? The only thing that concerns them is trying to be as good as iPhone.

Blackberry for example go their own way and make a quality device with no care or desperation what Apple do.

They try everything but cant overhaul them, so only one thing was left, make the phone even bigger. Mobile Phones were thought to be better when smaller not to long ago, but HTC is doing it's best to change that.

A horrible phone and certainly not "mobile"

Just because iPhone is currently the best-selling phone, that doesn't mean that the other companies should quit making phones.

I have an iPod touch and I'm not against Apple or anything. But I think this phone is better than the iPhone in many ways, including the screen. ( 4.3" Screen > Retina display )

I've had one for three weeks now to replace my iPhone3GS, and it sits in my pocket just as comfortably as the 3GS, plus it doesn't scratch or mark like the 3GS's cheepo plastic back did - AND it kicks its arse at everything else too. I chose it after looking at the horrible straight edges on the iPhone4 and realising what a nasty handset it would be to hold to your ear and keep in your pocket.

#1: You have loads of apps running in the background (such as the widgets you've used lately): FIX: D/L "Advanced Task Killer Free" on the market, and kill all apps before you play the game, or you can try disabling background data.

#2 If you're using some widgets like: the big MAIL widget, or the big TxT message widget. use the least demanding widgets possible.

However, if you "Desire" a heavy breeze block of a phone with poor screen resolution, terrible battery life, poor build quality, shabby plastics, awful sound quality, a ringtone too quiet too hear,a lack of applications, no gyroscope for decent games and a poor resale value, then this is the device for you!

The Desire HD is quite frankly garbage. I was expecting a nice aluminium rear, not a rear full of cheap plastic panels.

The screen is terrible, why no amoled or retina? I sent an email to HTC, the response was "it would reduce battery life"

What flaming battery life, it sucks!

Previous phones I've bought, I have done so off the net, thank goodness I went to the store and tried this thing out,

The iPhone 4 is slim and beautiful, a real status symbol. Be beaten one day, but not by this brick.
