Trevor Howard...one of my all time favorite actors!!!..in a little known movie...and a very good one. Why, oh why! don't they make films like this anymore??? Thank you for posting this.
i saw this movie when it came out in 81 , was in Fairlawn Va., the movie manager even spoke to crowd before movie came on saying how it was a Native American film only and no white people or signs of them , i had never seen a movie manager do that before or since . Was pretty cool and movie was really great too ,one of my favorites.
TCm is showing it late tonight and im gonna record it , its first time ive seen it on tv . Im pretty happy to finally record this!!!
@troynov1965 Correction There were many non-native actors potraying native people. Trevor Howard was British, the actor playing the young windwalker is James Remar, probably a self proclaimed 7/32nd Cherokee on his fathers side twice removed. etc, etc, etc ,My point is that there were not many native actors in the early eighties. They were not authentique enough. I am a full blood Cree. I love this movie too, because it displayed the true quality of our ancestors hearts.
They showed this to the WHOLE Elementary School back in '83 and the whole place went APE SHIT.... Kids were fighting to be one of the Twins for months on the playground...
I remember seeing this movie when I was 7 years old. It was the shit! This was the first movie that actually showed Natives speaking their own languages.
(Cheyenne and Crow) I've been looking for it for many years. It is a must have.
I liked this movie, I wonder if you know where I can find more clips? I wanted to watch the part where he falls down the mountain and finds a bear and all that, the string of misfortune is hillarious.
I LOVED,LOVED,LOVED this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so well made! Movies of this nature are rare and actually, there is NO movie like this one! So special! Whoever made this and acted in this, should be so proud!!!!!!
