The Jesus And Mary Chain The Jesus And Mary Chain The Jesus And Mary Chain The Jesus And Mary Chain WHY THE FUCK ARE THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN NOT HERE??!!!
Sorry, I just think that The Jesus And Mary Chain were definitely really influential for Britpop, and for me they beat the shit out of Primal Scream any day (although Bobby Gillespie would probably be caught in the middle, but whatever).
The Jesus And Mary Chain. The most undeservedly overlooked band ever.
some good choices, some a bit irrelevant! my top 10 would be: slight return (bluetones), whatever (oasis), walkaway (cast), parklife (blur), one day (verve), disco 2000 (pulp), something changed (pulp), alright (supergrass), better day (ocean colour scene), wonderwall (oasis) but that's just meeeeee!
you've got a great list there mate. i would say for tomorrow (blur(cause it was on the first britpop album)) instead of Parklife. but everything else is just right
Al ver las dos partes, no me explico cómo pudieron omitir a The Beatles, The Kinks, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Smiths, Echo & The Bunnymen, Super Fury Animals, Keane, Snow Patrol, Spiritualized, Morrissey, The Jam, David Gray, ¿Dónde están todos ellos? ... What about all of them?
Ian Brown is post Madchester. Primal Scream are nowhere near Britpop. Ash are Britrock. Robbie is Pop. James had a bit of a connection with Britpop with the single She's A Star but the song you've chosen here is not Britpop. Supergrass are 100% Britpop, so thats correct. The Beautiful South are not even close to Britpop. Paul Weller has a tiny bit of Britpop in him, but not a vast amount. Muse are alternative and are way past the Britpop era. Skunk Anansie are a too angsty for Britpop.
hahaha ash aint even british!! robbie is a take that reject! i dont trust supergrass coz they are too happy! paul weller was around a long time before brit pop! watch my vid!
Robbie Williams Britpop?? Ian Brown Britpop?? Primal Scream Britpop?? James Britpop??-- They have nothing to do with Britpop. Britpop is bands like Oasis,Blur,Pulp,Shed Seven, Elastica, The Bluetones, Menswear.
idiot ian brown virtually created britpop i agree with robbie willams tho and mani from the stone roses is in primal scream , and oasis completely copied the stone roses

i was refering to Paul Wellers mid 90's solo stuff, not The Jam or The Style Council
and Ash are from Northern Ireland, which is British
Oh and Robbie being a Take That reject doesnt mean he isnt pop...
Boxyno1 4 years ago
you had me on ash, i dont rate Weller since The Jam, to be honest i dont think much of the Jam but i appreciate them. Give me Style Council anyday!
AS FOR WILLIAMS! DONT GET ME STARTED!
stay cool

Robbie Williams Doesn't Deserve to be on it just due to the fact that he Copied Oasis style
