...on the plus sides, they got rid of the trunk lid hinges on the cabrio, the front grille dips into the bumper instead of separating into two pieces, and the interior just got even better. Still, the stance and shape of the new one, plus all of the details make this 2nd gen a pretty ugly car compared to the '04-'08 convertibles and other 1st gen's. Your mileage may vary, of course.

I specifically ordered one of the last '08's because the 2nd gen's were so ugly to me.

You already put 20k km on a car that came out like three months ago? Maybe you mean the first generation MINI Convertible? Sorry 'bout your trouble. Really stinks that they exclude clutches, and by that they mean anything within 10 feet of the clutch. Excluding the disk itself - a wear part, makes sense, but not the rest of it.

The differences are pretty big up close. The car is far uglier, in my opinion. Gaps between headlight and their trim, giant plastic under wipers and on sides...

This car is a piece of Sh... I have one... it broke with 20.000 KM It has costed me 4K USD to fix a new car *clutch and transmission, guarantee did not cover. Really really sad and annoying. just google and see in youtube, many people are complaining, dont buy it.

My mate drives a mini and its such a pain in ass getting in and out of the back, im over 6 foot and i think the mini just isnt good enough practically, there are some really good cars out there which have much more space and plenty of poke. i think people buy this car because of the look, or if your a hairdresser or a girl
