Making mochi. A mochi is rice cake and is a delicacy in Japan. What the rabbit's doing is pounding the mochi. I don't know why they pound the mochi, but I do know is that they have to wet the mochi. (I guess Ammy's paws are already wet...) or else the mochi will get dry and pasty and won't taste very good. The person pounding and the person wetting the mochi will have to keep a rhythm or else someone will get injured by the hammer.
