I have studied Crowley even before I could really understand what he was about .I at one time owned alot of his book both on Magik and his work of fiction.I like robert anton wilsons view of crowley.Crowley stood for excess while Christianity stands for depriving yourself of carnal pleasure to somehow grow from self neglect.Rather than someone telling you what to do he said do what thou wilt and to some people existential freedom(fi it exists) is very scary indeed.
