I'm confused as to how this (MHD) relates to JP-Aerospace's goals.
Arn't all of your planned engines POWERED by electricity? I thought your plan was to use electric propellers, and electric ion thrusters - both powered by solar power.
Using a chemical rocket (as in this video) to create electricity to in-turn power an electric rocket - it's needlessly inefficient.
There is a datalogger that is taking five samples per second of voltage and current across the electrodes.

What's to indicate that any electrical power is being generated? A voltmeter across the electrodes would have been helpful.
