You pulled it off so well! It's always good when the conditions are nice and you are able to get a solid grip. it seriously looked to me like you had been rehearsing that routine for a while. You were constantly flowing and moving from one move to the next and it never looked like you were struggling! How did you like the x-stage? I imagine that I would get frightened of it swaying at the top. Have you ever competed before? You would be great!
@onlinepolestudio Thanks for the compliments! I've been freestyling for the entirety of my pole journey... routines are not really my thing, not that I'm against them. I actually really like the X-stage, and you get used to the wobbliness. You don't feel the wobbly too much because you move with the pole, and as long and you and the pole remain a unit, you feel secure. I haven't competed before but I'd like to give it a try. I think I'm going to go for the Midwest pole comp this summer.
Wow! That was amazing! Best performance I have ever seen by you! That was a freestyle? Did you have any of that choreographed prior? I love the song choice and how you moved to the music. You kept me entertained the entire time. I can't understand how the audience is being so quiet! Had you ever used an X-stage before?
@onlinepolestudio Thanks so much! I didn't have any of it choreographed beforehand, although some of the combos are kind of my go-to's. I know this song very well, that does help. It is "Our Second Chance" by PANTyRAiD. The audience was pretty quiet, but Cincinnati is a conservative city and it was almost like they didn't know what to do, so they stayed quiet. They clapped longer at the end than I represented, and several people talked to me afterwards, all respectful and nice.
@onlinepolestudio Oh and, lol, only one other time had I ever tried out an X-stage. I only just did a few tricks and that's it. This pole was well broken in, it was nice and sticky, which was a huge relief. Also, the weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold. I didn't get all sweaty! :)
