  • VERY NICE.....FROM FLORIDA U.S.A.

  • Wonderful!! :O)

  • very nice, reminds me if Liverpools in summer

  • @EmCSpiteri1 Thank you,glad you liked it!

  • This organ came about 90 years ago in Holland as one of the most beautiful Bursens organs. It was owned bij the famous Henk Möhlman in Amsterdam for many years. As I can see, it looks like the organ has to be turned very fast but not extremely heavy. I wish you good luck with this organ, I hope to see and hear it once a time.

  • @5breem You know a lot about this organ and you completely right with what you said about it,it has been rebuilt many times over the years and has lost the original Carillon and Harmonic Flute pipes and also the Baritones but maybe one day they will be replaced,it is not too hard to turn and i hope you do get to see it again one day!

  • What a beautiful music on this organ, with such a rich sound. Thanks.

  • @5breem Thank you,glad you like it!

  • Beautiful music, and a congratulations in order for you to run smoothly on the organ.

    Peter.

    Greetings from England,

    Peter.

  • So cool! i've never seen anything like that before :)

  • @JadeEvoriMaster Thanks,Jade, there are a lot of these organs about if you know where to look!

  • That is so COOL!! I have never seen such a big organ that is still hand operated! That looks like so much fun, and sounds great for her age. I was wondering were I could get blank card books like that? I am building my own player organ, and need something to record on to. Any info I would really appreciate! Love the song!

  • @mechanicsnut Thank you!,there are bigger organs that still are played this way especially in Holland,it is hard work but great fun!,the organ has been overhauled in recent years but a lot of it is still original. There are several places that you can still get the blank card both in England and Holland,if you need more details send me a p.m. and i will gladly let you know, good luck with the organ you are building!

  • I went to a fair yesterday at barlylands farm in Essex, and i saw one like this, it was amazing! i found out what they were called and had to listen to some, if only i could buy some of these songs on my ipod

  • @crudnup Glad you find these instruments amazing and you like what you hear, there may well be downloads available somewhere on the net or if not there are many C.D. recordings available.

  • @petermackett37 what would i search to find? organ music? this type of music is very specific so i would have to search for a name or something.

  • @crudnup Search for fair organ, dance organ, street organ or mechanical organs and you should get plenty of results, once you have found some sites look for C.D.'s for sale, there are thousands available!

  • @MyMasterTv Thank you!

  • Blue Bayou is a Roy Orbison song! (he recorded it at least!) Who was filming you Peter? :-)

Harry (yes I am the same Harry who is on Michael Morris' pages on Facebook, ceredigio is my youtube name as i live in Gloucestershire which is virtually next door to Wales, although not to Ceredigion but Monmouthshire! :-)

  • @ceredigio Shane Seagrave who looks after the organ for it's owner, yes, this is a Roy Orbison song and there is another great version by Linda Ronstadt,i did wonder if it was you,Harry.

  • @petermackett37 Happy to confirm my identity Peter :-)

  • Hi Peter, this is amazing! How old is this organ? it sounds so beautiful, and looks like it is in perfect shape! It must be a great thrill to spin that wheel and hear it live! I live in Ma. and we are going to NH this weekend is it still available to see? I know it was at a show in 2010 looks like a lot of fun to play, unless you were a street performers and to play it all day. What a workout that must have been! thank you so much for sharing it with me and all your support! .. Love ~RACHEL~

  • @Neveszy Thanks,Rachel, the organ was built in the 1920's but has been much altered over the years as most of these instruments have, yes,it is fun to turn the wheel but hard work too!,you will have to come along way to see it though as i live in England!,that is where the organ is now,we have very many over here,no doubt if you look hard enough you can find one over there, there are a lot of them!,so glad you liked the video and you will always have my support!

  • @Neveszy

Sorry Peter, New Hampshire is a state in the USA 4 hours away from Ma where I live, I thought that is where the organ was. LOL Thanks for the link to Karen Eng she is incredibly talented! I hope to someday be as polished as she is Love Rachel

  • @sweetrose1944 Thank you,Rose,i'm so glad you enjoyed my video!

  • very cool instrument. what a work out that thing looks like! was it meant to be cranked by motor? i can only hope my history of the zaharako's orchestrion did a little justice to your pashion.

  • @thevagabondcircus These organs were built to be hand-turned long before electric motors were available but most have both methods of operation now as this one does, thanks for the info on the orchestrion.

  • That looks like so much fun!! And good exercise too! (:

  • @arabellajonesmusic It is fun,Arabella, but it gets harder the longer you do it!,this organ is not too bad but some are awful,it nearly kills you, lol!

  • @MegaFizzman No,it belongs to a friend,i help out with it from time to time.

  • This looks so fun! : )

  • @samarapresley1 Yes,you did comment on this one,Samara,i never sent it to you again, must be You Tube gremlins again, lol!,anyway thanks for the comment, sweetheart!

  • peter how do they work... do you have to keep tempo with the wheel,? does the music speed up if you go faster and faster ?

  • @chrishayrider68 Hi Chris, you put the cardboard music book into the keyframe which has a set of metal levers which pop-up through the holes in the book which open small valves releasing air into the pipes and percussion.Turning the wheel pumps the bellows and moves the music through,it is a skill to get the tempo correct and yes,the faster you turn, the faster it gets! With experience you can put a lot of expression into the music by varying the tempo.

  • @petermackett37 i knew it peter,,,you make it look easy... a skil comes in eveything... well done buddy and and thanks for the imformation. *****

  • @chrishayrider68 Thanks,Chris,it takes some getting used too but i ain't bad even if i do say so myself, lol! If you want to know anything else, just ask,i'm a mine of information, lol! Thanks for the stars too!

    A.D

  • @yetanothersongwriter So glad you liked it!

  • @MissPeacebabe10 Hi Sandi, glad you liked it so much! No i didn't build it,i'm not that clever, lol!,it was built in Belgium by Joseph Bursens in the 1920's and is typical of the organs used on the streets of Holland to this day. The merry go round organs are very similar and work on the same system.

  • Brilliant Video

  • @sneakyuploader Thanks,Wayne,my Sneaky friend!,this video has had more hits than any of my others, must be the Karen influence!

  • @petermackett37 yep, but it is very entertaining, i love work, i can watch it all day !!!!

  • @sneakyuploads LOL!,Thanks,Wayne!

  • So sweet and old-fashioned! Love it!

  • @mammacarmela1951 Thanks,Carmela,glad you liked it!

  • Great job, Peter!

  • @snerha Thanks,Steve!

  • Beautiful organ!

  • @ZodyZaZa Yes,it is,a typical Dutch Street Organ as used on the streets in Holland to this day!

  • Looks like you're getting some work out there, Peter. I remember that song, that's the one that Karen did for my 54th birthday and I never hear that song that I don't think about her.

    God Bless,

    Jeff

  • @jd450lh Hi Jeff, yes it certainly keeps you fit, lol! I picked this song specially for Karen as i love her cover of it and knew she would like it and i know you requested it too so i'll dedicate it to you too,my friend,i too always think of Karen when i play this, there are certain songs that always do that now!

    God Bless,

    Peter.

  • wow, what a cool machine lol!

    Ali:)

  • @AllisonBrustofski Thanks,Ali,this is where i get my love of all types of music from, these organs can play anything from the classics to today's hits! Glad you liked it!

  • They Just Don't make them like that anymore, very unique sound.

    Thanks for the Entertainment.

  • @70gen Thank you for watching, glad you liked it!

  • Good man Peter keeping fit i see! haha! There seems to be a fantastic and a vast selection of music with this organ. It also seems very popular with both public and organ enthusiasts alike.

  • @118Verbeek Hi David, yes it's the perfect workout, lol! The repetoire is being added to all the time,a lot of the old music is not carried with the organ as it didn't suit it so new tunes are always being acquired. We had a lot of interest from the public at the show, the most i have seen for a long time,we invite them to have a go and had several volunteers including a young girl who was very good,if you are at Dorset you can have a go too!

  • @petermackett37 Hi Peter yes thank you i must go up to it at Dorset. Im all booked up for accomodation and transport (ferry) over to Britain! I was lucky in fact because a local steam engine owner was talking to my grandad (whose bringing me over) and he was saying all ferries out of Ireland are booked up around that time. But we booked months ago so we are definetly going to be there! We should organise where and when to meet up and il pop over to you!

  • @118Verbeek Hi David, yes i will definitely arrange where and when to meet you at Dorset,I'll send you a P.M nearer the time and you can definitely have a go at turning the organ! See you there!

  • @petermackett37 That sounds great! See you then!!

  • Kudoosss!!!

    = Much, L♥ve! ;o)

  • @normronlop Thanks,Norma,i appreciate it!

  • Is it hard to crank?

  • @anglerfly No,it's surprisingly easy once you get used to it!, a lot easier than other organs i have turned!

  • a beautiful melody as the other

Thank you dear Peter, for your historic organ grinder your girlfriend jutta

  • @deinecinderella Thanks again,Jutta,glad you liked it!

  • @deinecinderella sorry to chirp in here, but unless you are trying to tell us, that Peter is a very old man, it should be "a historic grind organ" and not the other way around ;-

    )

  • @theorganguy Jutta is German and has translated it straight from German to English,if you know German you will know you have to change words round to make it read properly in English, these translators don't always get it right, and i'm not that old, loll!,i'm only 50!

  • @petermackett37 Your my Dads age Peter!

  • @118Verbeek That makes you sound very young,David,i know i look older than i am,i went grey early, lol!

  • @petermackett37 Lol!

  • @petermackett37 I thank you Jutta

  • @deinecinderella No problem,my friend!

  • @theorganguy I mean the organ

    how old is the Intrument

I have congratulated the birthday peter

    Jutta
