@vsboy25 not to correct you and no disrespect but its actually more closely related to the GE F110 engine that powers the F-16. The F-16 variant (GE F110) was directly modeled off of the F101 platform which resides in the B-1. The F-15 is powered by Pratt & Whitney engines.
@spmrks08 Yes you’re correct that it has f 101 GE 102 engines however the f16 does not have the power output the B1 has mid flight as all engines have after burner capabilities.
How you compare a single seated small fighter plane engine to a fully loaded super high speed low attitude bomber is beyond me.
Just because GE makes the engines it does not mean the engines perform similar to other aircraft with the same maker.

@spmrks08 The B1 has great elements which encompass a board spectrum of its mission parameters, however now its used for close in air support delivering a range of Jdam munitions just incase you thought its still used for nuclear purpose only.
The plane has no elements even engines capacity close to a f16 the only thing in common is GM.The B1 is a great plane but it will be sent to the bone yard due to maintenance costs, shortage of parts, an poor wing and skin attrition rates.

@CPhacker916 A B1B that goes into space? I'm fairly certain that no aircraft like this go into space. The U2 used to go into space when it was 50,000 feet but that was a long time ago. Now that space begins at like 62 miles no aircraft like this would even be remotely powerful enough or hold enough gas to get into space.

I live about 4 miles from Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX home of the 7th Bomb Wing composed of 20 or so B-1B airplanes. Everytime these things takeoff every person in town can hear them! The airshow in May is usually the loudest since they do a lot of high speed passes. The rumble has set car alarms off quite a distance away.

One of these babies did a low level fly by at Knoxville, TN a few years ago before 9-11. I saw it coming but a lady was carrying drinks and chatting with a friend and didn't even hear the air show announcer. The plane was silent of course until it blew by. I've never seen anyone throw a handful of soft drinks that far before. Scared the hell out of her and shook the ground for a long time after it passed. Helluva plane!
Definitely need to Midasize that baby Awesome blast - I am still trying to get some kind of heat shimmer and smoke combo that looks just like that - in Flight Sim 2002 so far my effects tinkering has not been to successful - i either black out the universe or have little of nothing - Thanks for video
Was that at Standiford field? I live in Bowling Green. We used to have an airshow here and we had a B-1 also. It was like someone hitting me in the chest with a baseball bat with the ab take-offs.
To be honest, while the B1 is pretty loud on a full oad + afterburner takeoff it still is nothing compared to a fully loaded KC-135. They would have to come out and re-tighten all the gas mains every 3 months because of those things.
Fuck ya the B1Bomber! I love this Bomber as I worked on it for ten years in the 80's at Rockwell International El Segundo and Palmdale California and watched them test fly them at Edwards Air Force Base. Awsome times.
I heard a story about some troops that were pinned down in a fire fight at night during the Iraq war. They needed air support quick, but the only plane in the area was a B1B that had already delivered it's load somewhere else. The B1B came down and did an extremely low high speed pass right over the enemy that scared them shitless and sent them running.
@johnscck Hadji knows what could be next. During desert storm the Navy used UAVs to spot targets for the Missouri's big 16 inch guns and layed waste to the Iraqi army. After a few times the Iraqis were actually surrendering to the UAVs without a shot being fired.

Fuck ya the B1Bomber! I love this Bomber as I worked on it for ten years in the 80's at Rockwell International El Segundo and Palmdale California and watched them test fly them at Edwards Air Force Base. Awsome times.

I heard a story about some troops that were pinned down in a fire fight at night during the Iraq war. They needed air support quick, but the only plane in the area was a B1B that had already delivered it's load somewhere else. The B1B came down and did an extremely low high speed pass right over the enemy that scared them shitless and sent them running.

@johnscck Hadji knows what could be next. During desert storm the Navy used UAVs to spot targets for the Missouri's big 16 inch guns and layed waste to the Iraqi army. After a few times the Iraqis were actually surrendering to the UAVs without a shot being fired.
