Contracts carry over dude. That's why Dana White was able to get all those Pride fighters when UFC bought out Pride. Same thing with the WFA went it went out of business and sold its rights over to the UFC. That's how Rampage Jackson and Machida ended up in the UFC.

I hope this fight still goes ahead and Vitor doesnt fight Fedor...I want Vitor to progress at 185lbs and finally comeback to the UFC in the best shape he has been in ages, fighting Fedor will have more benefits as he has a chance to beat the worlds best fighter and if he loses than he lost to the best, but I dont want to see Fedor crush Vitor...he will lose his confidence that has taken him along time to get back
