This is a hank Williams cover. I believe this version might've been included on the Japanese version of "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell" (from 1992)
as bonus track. I agree it's better than the one on the new album
Thank you, I agree with joeawellington, this version is SO much better than the one on the album to me, it's chilling, beautifully done. The promo CD single of Cold Feelings had this on it.
I must admit that the version off of HT&NR is very good, HOWEVER I wish they had put this version on the album instead. Whenever i listen to this it gives me goosebumps, the haunting is something rarely caught on digital format. If I close my eyes I can see Mike Ness sitting in a small rural bar in the middle of nowhere playing as a one-man-band vis-a-vis Bloodhot Bill, wow just got chills typing this :}
