@ohfeverhead I don't think it's as much that as he doesn't have quite the tone range as some other singers do. His higher voice is about the same as in most of their other songs too. I do enjoy Silversun Pickup's music, don't get me wrong. But the Killers came much closer to being able to cover the original song, and did a phenominal job of doing it.
Meh..Acoustic guitar only? This doesn't really convey anything similarly to JD. As much as I don't like the Killers, their version is definitely a little closer to bringing it back to life. Don't mind the SSP, but this sound isn't their forte--or at least not right now.
i find myself letting out a dramatic exhale right after he finishes because i didn't realize i was holding my breath from watching and listening so intently. one of those performances.
ya it seems more like a cover of the killers cover, but still a good song. his voice is qutie unique in a good way but could easily be riciculed because of how different it is.

@ohfeverhead I don't think it's as much that as he doesn't have quite the tone range as some other singers do. His higher voice is about the same as in most of their other songs too. I do enjoy Silversun Pickup's music, don't get me wrong. But the Killers came much closer to being able to cover the original song, and did a phenominal job of doing it.

Meh..Acoustic guitar only? This doesn't really convey anything similarly to JD. As much as I don't like the Killers, their version is definitely a little closer to bringing it back to life. Don't mind the SSP, but this sound isn't their forte--or at least not right now.

ya it seems more like a cover of the killers cover, but still a good song. his voice is qutie unique in a good way but could easily be riciculed because of how different it is.
