  • damn you nasa how do you think you are sonic the hedgehog lol

  • I was always interested in how this technology worked!

  • And they land where and how? Steer at mach 5 or above? Discharge weapons? Yeah, and two planes destroyed the World Trade Center. USA allow truth? Take the red pill. Wake up. Just sayin' :)

  • Haha, The've been flying Aurora-like planes to mars an now disclosing this "shit" as a sensation

    Nicely done, Nasa! Ba-dum-tss! =)

  • @skydragon4ever Scramjet engines do not function in outer space.

  • how god is this for the earth?

  • @deadbird58 It's better than your spelling.

  • @eagleperch srry im not god in english i know

  • HOW CAN ANYBODY SURVIVE 10 MACH ?????

    THE PRESSURE IS UNIMAGINABLE !!!!!!

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN IT TO ME IN SIMPLE WORDS ?

  • @try555555 the space shuttle goes at about 16,000mph on reentry into earth so it's do able

  • @try555555 Velocity != Acceleration

  • @try555555 try to learn something about aerodinamics...

  • @try555555 Unless you change direction and as long as you're in the cockpit, you're exposed to nothing more than 1G because, as you know, an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless enacted on by an outside force.

  • @try555555 The plane goes really fast a little bit at a time and makes very gradual turns.

so that the pilot does not die.

  • @try555555 try harder. :))

  • THEN THAT WOULD END UP TEN TIMES THE SMOKE.

  • Dave Adair. Check it.

  • we got 665 thousand mph till we get through space fast as fuck

  • This is amazing, but as I have heard the military wants to use this as a weapon. They are going to put more money into long range bombers than to using this to reach a space age. I hate those ass-holes. Scientists worked for years and now they just take dreams and use it for their own objectives. I am not somebody that completely hates the military and some of these wars were necessary, but it has burnt through more money.

  • too bad obama just slashed NASAs budget! thanks libs!

  • @KevinDC5 We don't have money for that shit right now, and it isn't Obama's fault. Face it, conservatives in washington right now are just as big of fuckups as the liberals. No one can get shit done anymore, I'm disgusted with both sides.

  • A scramjet ! Ohhh How Fucken Primitive !! Ha ha ha ha ha . These guys need to learn more about Vaccum Thrust Propulsion and get away from this stone-age shit , ha ha ha . And Rockets are so primitive it's almost embarrasing !!

  • @nicktesla45 and i am guessing you are a rocket scientist ??

  • @keither1982 Me ? A Rocket Scientist ? Heavens no!!, I know that is Synonimous with Brilliant, young man !! I am Just a humble Flying Saucer Propulsion Researcher with 20 years under my belt and an I.Q. well above Av. By the way are you aware that the Chinese invented Rockets back in the days of Ghengis Khan ! So It IS quite Primitive ! With the trip to the moon back in 1969 The Efficiency of Thermodynamics has just about reached it's limit !

  • @nicktesla45 well if it gets you to space its still good ey?

  • @nicktesla45 Funny how people can lie so easily over the net... sad you must have no life i'm sorry if I don't believe you because there is no way in hell you would be a flying saucer propulsion researcher and be bragging about it the government would have killed you before you could have typed that sentence

  • @Alexsbn015 Anyone can buy books and do research on UFO propulsion , They sell them at Adventures Unlimited Publishing on the Internet and some other places BUT to Understand them You DO need to know a good deal about Physics But like all morons you will probably never check out the sources I just gave you ! And Yes the Goddam Government Has tapped my line in the past, But to kill me would require a lot more Gutz and reason. Murder IS against the law you moron .

  • @nicktesla45 I never received any sources and you don't have to be rude I get your point

  • @nicktesla45 I just don't get it!! I am very interested in what you have to say

and advancements made thats why I look at your comments but this

stupid discourse ruins the chances of further education what a damn shame

wasting time in bickering. Why waste your time?

Written with respect to you...again Thks!

  • @nicktesla45 Ok, I would like to talk to yu in private is there anywhere we can do that?

  • @Alexsbn015 I am sorry if I was rude , It's just that everyone wants me to explain is one paragraph what has taken me 15 years to learn ! Jesus ! I don't even have my drawings Patented yet I need to get a Patent before I can say much more ,

  • @nicktesla45 Meh do your research before posting a comment Vacuum Thrust Propulsion is only effective in space so stop trying to look smart and give a little respect to NASA

  • @Alexsbn015 All to the contrary !! What I call Vaccum Thrust Propusion is only effective Inside the atmosphere ! Ouside the atmosphere you would need to use the "Biefield Brown Effect" and an Overunity Permanent magnet generator to power it . However the Vaccum Thrust System can hit Mach 50 and give you enough escape velocity to reach the moon in just a few hours by pure inertial alone but long before then the other system would in operation to bring you back And that is just a Shuttle Craft!

  • @nicktesla45 Vacuum Thrust System? Ummmmmm, do you mean Scramjet technology? LOL.

  • @bweazel Nope ! Vacuum Thrust Is NOT That type of Suction System . If you create an Atomic Low Pressure Field above the top part of a Disc-Shaped craft that Saucer WILL Levitate in Direct Proportion to the Amount of Electrons released into the Top Part of the Saucer .

  • @nicktesla45 Sounds like the NAZI Bell.

  • @nicktesla45

Interesting call sign and what you say is very interesting.

I am an average moron....Mach 50!! are you serious?

Boy with respect, I would like to talk to you thanks anyhow!

My physics is poor but not blind.

  • the speed of light is 186,000 miles/sec, which is roughly 671 million mph

  • What is the speed of light?

  • @cheezbeenzriz The speed of light is 3x10^8 meters/sec.

  • 7000MPH xD (11000km/h)

  • mach..fuckn..ten..

  • woooooooooooo

  • I live in Australia, I'd consider flying to Europe if it were that fast.

  • @mkai4492 we will never get to the speed of light, impossible as everything we/anything that we build has mass

  • @doxypark

photons have mass. how do they get to the speed of light?

  • @OceanderTethyseus Photons are special, they do not have mass, and yet, they do.

  • @1tanterhetaida2

yes, and i would characterize our comprehension of photons as "special", also, and by that i mean to say that our comprehension of photons is totally retarded.

amateur physicists love to make grand definitive statements and sound like all-knowing douchebags, but the fact is that even the most fundamental questions are unanswered.

  • @OceanderTethyseus And I guess you are mr. big-shot CERN-physicist? Maybe the next Albert Einstein even?

    Who's the douchebag, cunt.

  • @1tanterhetaida2

hmmm, or maybe they don't have mass, i don't know.

  • @OceanderTethyseus

first, i did not imply that anyone was a douchebag - i said "sound like all-knowing douchebags".

second, i wasn't even referring to you, since you made no explicit claim that it is impossible for us to reach light speed.

and i see no particular harm in being called either a douchebag or a cunt.

and your comment was factually wrong - photons do have mass.

and my point that definitive statements on the subject are scientifically unjustified is entirely valid.

  • @OceanderTethyseus Actually photons do not have mass ( or no rest mass ). They are best described by the completely strange field of quantum mechanics, in that they exhibit an interesting feature called "wave-particle duality" which is pretty self explanatory, it means they are both a wave, and a particle. The only other "massless" particle we know of is the Gluon, which is responsible for the strong nuclear force of the four fundamental forces. So YOUR comment, good sir, is factually wrong.

  • @Chrispy0000 thks!! trying to understand!

  • @OceanderTethyseus

something to do with the fact that they have both particle and wave properties.

  • @doxypark Wrong !! You do NOT have to reach light speed or even go near it to reach a star in a few months or even weeks ! But you DO need to know how to bend ( And Spin) time and space and that is a whole New Ballpark ! Now you are fucking with the Fourth Diimension and most scientists don't know crapp about that ! It turns everything they know ( Or rather what they THINK they know) on it's head ! They need to learn Reality Engineering and Sub-Quantum Dynamics!!

  • @nicktesla45 This isn't "Event Horizon", bro. No such tech exists. No one is reaching a star in a few weeks for a lonnnnnggg time. Oh? Scientists need to learn things? Perhaps you could be the one to teach them?

  • @bweazel Duhhhh !! Did I say Anything about reaching a star? NO!! I started talking about reaching the moon with a Vaccum Thrust Vehicle ! Read ALL my comments before putting words in my mouth . I Cannot teach your scientists. You have 2 B an Ivy leager to join that Club, To Convice them I would need at least a small Radio Control Model and the Machining costs and custom made parts could run into Tens of thousands of dollars . Can't afford it!

  • @doxypark as you get near the speed of light the mass increases?

I wonder with wrapping space time all this just goes out the window!

Quatum mechanics seems impossible to define with certainty...

    I am a complete novice...just guessing.

  • RAPIDO

  • it is impossible to get to the speed of light in anything that possesses mass, unless you can provide infinite energy, or a traversable wormhole. v

  • Apparently the Max V of such a powerful Scramjet is Mach 24! Too bad it only works in earths atmosphere though. Still cant believe that we havent even gotten to the Speed of light yet with modern technology.

  • my uncle got to work on an SR 71 Blackbird

  • Does anyone see this as a new way to throw nuclear bombs with a stealth cloak?

  • @ethicalbro only 2 nuclear bombs have ever been droped in order to kill people. Also whats the point in throwing nukes with a stealth aircraft???????the bombs origin can be traced from the materials used!!! not by the plane that dropped it

  • @kotsifis25

they used the stealth aircraft to avoid being intercept, and ruin the whole mission.

  • @kmsands If I'm retarded, prove me wrong.

  • @TipsterFlik the point of this video is to demonstrate the capabilities of the scramjet engine. The engine only works efficiently at high mach numbers. that's why there are all the "premature methods" (aka rockets used to propel it to mach 4.5) before the scramjet is used. The scramjet can theoretically provide a specific impulse of over 8 times traditional rockets used for space launches, hence why the research is so important. Also, scramjets have no moving parts, making the opposite of "shit"

  • @kmsands you're just confirming my point. What's the point of going that fast if there isn't {1} method or even a destination. If NASA would put the same amount of effort in a train. Image how fast you could travel the world instead of with a plane.

  • @TipsterFlik

    what the point is?

Maybe achieving the goal Obama has of being able to bomb any city within one hour aka the prompt global strike (or PGS)

The x51 can reach any point of the globe (from one place) in about 3.5 hours max when its traveling at mach 5.

When you spread launch points out across the earth you can hit any target on the globe well within one hour.

This rocket is not from NASA alone, its a coalition with the united states air force.

    Could it be more clear?

  • @deurklinknl tnx for the update. With Obama you mean US Air Force? After Obama's presidency the officials will still be in place. Groeten uit Amsterdam.

  • @kmsands Sorry, I forgot to mention. Remember. shit = Serious Heat Insufficient Technology

  • This looks like a shit piece of plane that can't stay in the air for long. Yeah great idea to test the speed but I bet that is wouldn't even be possible to make a trip from Amsterdam to New York. The amount of pre-mature methods that are needed to get the plane going proves my point.

  • @TipsterFlik you are retarded

  • @TipsterFlik First of all, Learn to type...Secondly as an aerospace engineering student, one who actually study's scramjets and hypersonics...STICK IT IN YOUR ###

  • @Spaceman002 I'm still learning, can you be more ignorant? Your study doesn't mean sh!t if you can't even see what I see just by looking at the video or while you're observing think of a way to make it better. And to make it even worse, if that is what you're learning and you can see logic in all. I bet your ignorance is bliss.

  • @TipsterFlik Even if it's not in the air for that long..it's going HYPER sonic, it would likely make it accross the world before you could walk from one end of your city to the other.

  • @Shanker420 pls read my comment's. Understand them. Think about something clever³. Then hit reply.

  • @TipsterFlik I did read your comments, they're far from 'clever'. It's obvious you don't fully understand what 'research' is.

  • @Shanker420 'clever + ³' = will it ever be possible for you to travel the world that fast = no, because they're shooting the money into space instead of ... = I'm not here to fight only changing your vision. Instead of dreaming of doing the things they are building, wouldn't you rather like to participate right away. As for research: why is it that I can answer your original post with my 1st reply to: kmsands.

  • affordability??? LMAO! bout 20 billion bucks no doubt!

  • NASA is fucking crazy for how nerdy it is

  • british would have completed the work in 4 years max. yanks are so slow

  • 11000 km/h

  • If it had the fuel would it be able to get to mars?

  • @RandomWad No considering there's nothing in space to compress and put fuel into.

  • @RandomWad the poent is that scramjet using atmosphere o2 as a fuel + hydrogen, therefore your cuestion makes no sence

  • @oksard100 I can't even figure out what you're trying to say so before downing someone else on their question making sense you should really review what you're typing.

  • i think the x-51a is being tested now. look it up. i also think the x-51a was caught on tape in china or kazakistan for being a ufo.

  • wow can we use it for people travel

  • Ah, I heard about this on Heads Up!
