  • for all you people struggling, you need to hit the ALT/Option key just after clicking iTunes

  • Took me ages to find out how to do this, it is the most simple tutorial, yet this is the only one that actually made fucking sense! THANJ YOU!<3

  • YES!!!! It worked on my windows. Used advice, holding down right shift key. Thanks a million!

  • on vista i had to use the RIGHT Shift key instead of Alt.

  • @nicodube23

thanks for comment, useful to know.

  • I want to do this on my boyfriend's Mac. Will this work if your iPod is new and you don't have any songs on it? Also, would I easily be able to download my own songs from the iTunes store, or would I need a separate account for that?

  • I guess I didn't hear that you were supposed to keep holding shift down while it's opening. I did it and it works. Thanks!

  • tried this and it did nothing

  • @terrillwhite08

    You're doing something wrong then

  • @terrillwhite08 if you have a PC you hold down shift.

  • Good tip
