  • Chris is the man! embodiment of a true autophile.

  • @EFAIR3 is he a racing driver, former racing driver or something like that? This guy is so much better than all three from Top Gear

  • great Chris !!!

  • Motor raciong is for sexless balding cunts

  • @fancythathat

    rofl, jealous much?

  • @joyfulvulture no, I have loads of sex from my gorgeous young girlfriend and she also thinks people who like motor racing are sad sexless old cunts.

  • @fancythathat

sure buddy, whatever helps your self-esteem.

its nice to see you need a girl to think for you.

  • @joyfulvulture what runs your thoughts? Oil and war?

  • @fancythathat go away :)

  • @fancythathat you just have never experienced what a full race track in a full on super car feels like. maybe one day you will relieve your self pity with the adrenaline of what a super car is meant to do. cheers!

  • @fancythathat Motor racing is for people who are bright enough to be able to spell properly!

  • sorry, but who is chris harris?

  • @gabriel1812 Best auto journalist out there.

  • First time i've seen that Chris is speechless!

  • "...and IF he comes back...!" xD

  • what race is this guy?

  • Brundle is the guru of f1.He talks we all listen.

  • That turn is really challenging when you dont have a car properly set and/or out of temperature. It's common to spin there ,,, Remember Felipe Massa and other drivers did spin there too... if he changed gears more softly to control the power and step on the gas properly(with the wheel in the straight position) it would help transferring all the horse powers to the ground without spinning. Then in the following laps he could puish harder

  • Don't want to sound like a newbie, but what exactly is rev matching and how do you do it?

  • @Seanbbn

If you know what the "hell and toe" technique is (there is alot of videos about it), that's the same purpose.

Thing is when you disengage the clutch to down shift, the engine revs want to fall but the gearbox continues to spin at the same speed cause it's conected to the wheels. So you have to MATCH the revs in both sides of the clutch by giving the acelerator a litlle touch before you engage the clutch again.

Hope you understand my poor english.

  • @carGT222

I think there are too many 'expert drivers' on youtube, Harris races 911's to a reasonable high level, I don't think it's of any use to hear about what you think he should have done, only pro's are capable of driving these cars in such conditions. Just enjoy the vid as a demonstration of how amasing these cars are.

  • an F1 car only worth 350,000 pounds?

  • @nicholasxuu nooo..that car is worht 350 000, the 2007 mclaren is worth 3.4 million pounds

  • @nicholasxuu lol most teams go through 3 or 4 cars per driver each season not to mention maintaining it with labor and material are extra.

  • FUCK YOUTUBE AND IT'S ADVERTS!!!

  • @memuver firefox with ab+

  • This is great!

I really like Chris Harris. He's not an entertainer, like Jeremy, and he doesn't have Tiff's racing cred, but he's got a good style that you can relate to.

  • @g7dude9 WELL SAID!!!

  • Martin is soo super

  • driving an F1 car looks really really scary lol

  • @LorienoftheBlossom yeah, it looks much more then I could imagine. Amazing how easy it is to lose grip. My god! Those machines really require extreme unbeliavble skill :O

  • Bring Chris Harris back! What is he doing since the demise of Drivers Republic?

  • @barnestim He's with EVO :)

Check out EVOTV Youtube channel for more of him :)

  • Chris has good music and and good punches. He beat the CRAP out of out of some dude yesterday night in NYC after he called him a nigger , the guy was demolished. TMZ posted the video at tmzfights. com

  • @tashacaraway324 Why is everyone posting all of this shit? Stupid spam

  • you shouldn't give it sudden throttle you should do it gradually

  • This Jaguar R5 witha V10 engine, which race in 2004 season.......2004 F1 cars was the fastest F1 car ever made until 2006 they use V8 engine and 2009 aerodynamic rules make the car look so ugly!!

  • very true but at certain tracks such as Silverstone having less downforce makes it quicker during quali this year they were thrashing the 04 qualifying record every lap

  • Ya this was Mark Webber's ride I think.

  • what team was this?

  • The car WAS a Jaguar. It's part of the FV10/ Euroboss series I think

  • Bring Chris Harris back!!

  • agree, im missing him as well, he was much better then those 3 jerks we need to watch nowadays

  • LOL 6:30 Hes like " O my fucking lord in heaven what am i about to do"

  • Wow: Gas then snap then facing backwards

  • brundle drove this car in london in 2004

  • "... if he comes back..." 3:20

    hahahaha great

  • "well I'm saying bollocks really"

  • lol "a place to rest your foot on the way to an accident"

  • Funny! I watched Part2 of this series first, and I was thinking, "Christ! Chris Harris is no mean (average) driver - HE CAN DRIVE - and he's just pootling about Silverstone; makes one think just how good unsung heroes like Martin Brundle are..."

And here he is, the very fellow! ;o)

Just goes to show how mightily impressive Lewis Hamilton's 1st and 2nd years in F1 were.

  • 5:45

  • comment me back

i liked this video :) Am

  • You can only put so much horsepower to the ground from standstill. Rolling times you could expect the F1 to absolutely cream the Veyron. Not that it matters as this is pure racing while the Bugatti is a refined road car...

  • no sir- veyron is AWD

  • he is talking about the f1

  • what, the brundle guy doesent left foot brake?! in an f1 car! fool!

  • The fact u call him "the brundle guy" shows how u no fuck all

  • well if he drives an f1, left foot braking would be an idea

  • WEAK

I was hoping for the former TNA Wrestler WILDCAT Chris Harris lol

  • at the end... why did he spin out with traction control on??? no heat in the tyres or track condition?

  • You can still spin with T/C. But these cars are just so sensative and soo powerful. Even just supercars are crazy powerful enough. I remember watching an interview with a rich fella and he was explaining a crash he had in his Ferrari F430 where as he downchanged he flicked the T/C off. The jump in revs from downchanging - coupled with no T/C - was enough to spin the rear wheels and send the ass of the car out sideways into the kurb just like what happened to this guy. And that was up a hill to.

  • You don't need to rev match in an F1 car. The gearboxes autoblip for you

  • I mean't the guy in Ferrari, not F1.

  • @dombou70 I don't think you would have the the time to auto blip with how quickly they slow down and go around the corners.

  • @seroyer2 I'm not entirely sure, but I assume back when the gearboxes were H-Pattern and had foot operated clutches on changes, they were matching on downshifts.

  • martin brundle is a dickhead

  • you've got it all backwards, you're the dickhead.

  • Um actually mate sorry I had it round the right way. Just forgot to include that yoour a dickhead to.

  • lets not fight .. I just think Martin Brundle is an experienced and well-adjusted commentator. You watch the F1 on TV ?

  • yer hes is experienced, but being an australian I dont like his and james allen's bias towards englis drivers. Especially Hamilton

  • fair call, im an aussie too and I think james allen makes heaps more outrageous biased statements, but Martin seems more level headed, imo anyways..

  • Yer, james allen is deffinitely the bigger dickhead, brundle isnt that bad

  • F1 on tonight anyways, should be a good one - Mark Webber 7th on the grid - 10:40pm - chn10

  • Yer mate im keen as aye. Channel 10 have picked there game up a bit with only a 40 min delay. Kimi went pole and a good eff by webber. Should be a good race hey.

  • looking forward to it.

  • I really don't like how Martin Brundle comes across in this video - very smug and arrogant. He may or may not be making things up, but really sounds like he's just showing off.

  • great sound

  • Martin Brundle is a champ, I enjoy listening to his knowledge on the F1 commentary

  • Naa. It needs MORE POWER ;)

  • Veyron would have to have well over 3000 bhp to be this accelerative :)

  • Chris here is talking about power to waight ratio. In case of Veyron it's arround 500 bhp per ton where F1 car has over 1500 bhp per ton and since 1500 is 3 times more than 500 Veyron would have to have 3 times more power than it has = over 3000 bhp.

  • unlucky but it is extremely hard to drive one so i understand

  • Ofcourse when it weights 500 kg, and has 800 hp..

  • Autocar, Ive just switched on to these videos and so far theyre great, but PLEASE sort the sound quality out.

  • I would have been better if he was driving the grand prix circuit rather than the national circuit.

  • ya but he'd be in danger of killing himself through the high speed stuff on the grand prix circuit

  • Not easy,to say the least......virtually zero grip at those temps. Should have tried it at 25-30c!....I wonder if he's ever raced a proper kart, that would have helped too..I'd love to see Clarkson drive an F1...he'd break it just looking at it!.......

  • He wouldn't fit in one.

  • that jag still looks great

  • Clarkson says - "POWER"

Whereas Harris always says - "lets think about it for a minute.."

    haha

  • Amazing stuff. One of the best things any lover of driving/racing could do in their lifetime. This is the circuit they should've put Richard Hammond on in the Renault, not that tiny 1-mile 5-corner Stowe circuit.

  • Martin Brundle and Chris Harris are Legends as far as i'm concerned, Martin explaines everything so well to Chris, an Chris does extremely well around the track. Much better than Hammond did when he drove an F1 car round Sliverstone. Martin and Chris are just both great people and amazing drivers, in my view.

  • thats a mean looking car

  • Brundle explained things really well, he obviously still loves driving.

  • @cutefacedweasel well yeaa. hes a commentator on formula 1....of course he explains everything really well. also hes used to having to explain things to his engineer. you cant be illiterate in any form

  • @cutefacedweasel well yea. hes a commentator on formula 1....of course he explains everything really well. also hes used to having to explain things to his engineer. you cant be illiterate in any form

  • Jeez, this is so informative. The spin was epic. It all happened so quickly.

  • Wow, that was out of control, i see what you mean with the tyre tempriture, daaaym!

Imagine trying to drift one of those :P

  • I was amazed at the fact he didnt stall it lol
