  • Much appreciate the Orthodox iconography! Have you ever been to an Orthodox service? I think you'd appreciate the deep reverence and honor paid to the Almighty God.

  • @KabaneTheChristian Never been to a service but once went to a Greek Orthodox festival. Personally though iconography doesn't do much for me in terms of reverence (though I appreciate that it can for others). Kind of odd for an artist to say that, but...

  • @tektontv Be careful, Tommy's trying to convert you to Eastern Orthodoxy. lol :)

  • @TheFunkyTheist Yeah I know. :) He's dialogued with me on and off about it. But I don't know that I'd be put to any better use in Orthodoxy than anywhere else, or be any better served by it, so it'd be hard to convince me of the necessity of going anywhere.

  • @tektontv

I was speaking of the service in general, not just the Icons. The church is filled with icons to symbolize the fact that in the Divine Liturgy, those worshiping are united to the Heavenly Temple and worship with the entire Body of Christ, including those who have gone to be with Christ.

  • @KabaneTheChristian Well...that's fine. But I'm not too keen on the services either. No offense. :( Not that I like any other group's any better either.

  • Richard Bauckham argues in Jesus and the Eyewitnesses that the author of John was an apostle, however not John the son of Zebedee, but another disciple not of the Twelve and that this John was John the Elder.

  • @Randomicity912 I read only part of that. I can live with that view though so I won't argue against it.

  • Another great video. Thanks for being on Youtube and making these videos.

  • Thank you sir! :-)

  • Glad I could help out by making an appearance in your vid(Eagle Avatar);)

  • At the risk of getting a Stupid Question of the Month (which I hope to avoid because I'm not asking rhetorically to try and score a point, this is just a legitimate question), how does claiming to be the one loved by Jesus not offend people's honor, since he could be seen as hogging the love for himself? Or is it acceptable to claim agape, since it's a universal sort of love?

  • @DarthBobCat It might offend, and be challenged, but if it turns out to be true, the challenger ends up being the one who gets shamed, so you can be sure both sides will make sure they have their ducks in a row. Chances are the evidence was so well known (given the nature of agape) that no one tried, though.

  • Very good video! Insightful and entertaining!

  • Thanks guys!

  • Superb as always!

  • Always enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work and God bless. :)
