  • THE MAKER WILL PUNISCH FLESH EATERS!

  • 0'50" basically, a turd on a plate.

  • My mate was an engineer on one of her albums. His main job was to make Kate 'bacon sandwiches without bacon in'.

  • I love how plain these old cooking shows are, it's quite relaxing

  • I was a vegetarian for over a year, but decided I liked pepperoni pizza too much!

I like Kate Bush, though :)

  • @MrSandyrabbit Acqiure cheese pizza> acquire vegetarian pepperoni (it does exist) > chop up and place on pizza.

  • Happy to make your acquaintance! Cheers from deep in the heart of Texas!

  • That just fed my soul! She is devine!

  • @1973galaxy500 Absolutely! What an elegant woman.

  • a thick onion tart...ive met a few of those..

  • @historyandhindsight i lol'ed

  • ...that can be shared between 4 people. Hahaha

  • How old is she here? 16?

  • Everything looks terrible, I'd hate to be a vegetarian.

  • @speedstering I've realised I'm what's known as a " fish and chipocryte" lol!. But I'm deadly serious on the mammal thing.

  • her shirt is maa-haaaaaadness

  • Kate is amazing. I've only recently discovered her music and I think she's amazing! ;) LOVE HERRRRRR!!!!

  • I only eat chicken and fish. I truly hope I can eventually give them up. But I swear to God, I'll never eat a 4 legged creature ever again. END OF.

  • Kate is so innocent

  • @hairyasshole2 Yeah, she's got a nice voice to listen to here.

  • That non meat loaf looks really nice.

  • It seems like this delia smith was a pioneer.

  • i'd have a go on delia's curried nut roast.

  • eeeeew that food looks horrid! I LOVE Kate Bush though, she's cool :)

  • New TV is just stupid though. I mean who needs a reality TV show about people on a coach trip, or people who run B & B's or house guests or whatever? I'm surprised that Come Dine With Me is as good and funny as it is actually but oh well at least there's one!

  • delia smith is probably one of the worst cooks in our country. If you don't believe me - ask her how to make a pavlova.

  • Delia was actually quite hot here..She was probably getting some back then.

  • "makes you feel a bit like a parrot" oh I just love her, she is gorgeous.

  • She's so adorable! :D

  • I LOVE KATE BUSH.

just thought I'd get that off my plate. (really though, all women should aspire to be as she is)

  • Bravo à Kate Bush,adorable ambassadrice du "non cadavre" et à l'Angleterre

  • Well, my opinion of Kate just dropped.

  • @RUDYNATACHA Funny, before I read your comment, I was just thinking my opinion of her had just risen.

  • @rascalscoundrel No wonder you're so crabby. You're probably hungry from not eating right.

  • mmm.. SPIT beans... god help the brits..

  • Kate sounds a bit like Frank Spencer

  • Could swear I saw her in Castleton in the Peak District in 2009 with a man and boy......my wife told me to "not be so stupid"..............

  • "i lived for the next week off chocolate and tea"

could she be any more perfect?

  • Since when has cheese been a vegetable?

  • @ukcelticpride It's not. It just isn't meat!

  • ...a interview on vegetarianism... a selection of vegetarian meals... what exotic vegetarian surprise awaits us first..?

    "and this is vegetables"

    well, i'm convinced...

  • bloody hell delia, thats some of the worst looking veggie food ive ever seen

  • Kate Bush is one of the sexiest women i've ever seen , id certainly switch to veges for her.

  • Bless her!

    Rocking the vegetarianism !

  • Kate's cool. Think i'll still devour helpless animals though.

  • @1AaroUin

    Fuck off.

  • awesome...Kate is just so cool :)

  • Does anyone know when this TV-clip was produced? Since five years a vegetarian, yes so early in life ! (and in the 70ies!) She was so ahead of her time in everything she did, it makes me adore her a lot more!

  • The world is full of idiots who always say what they think but never think what they say...

  • I admire her for dumping meat so early in life. She has always been so mature!

And about her food- most of these dishes belong to a typical vege-diet. I eat them myself :) Yummy!

I do not like the amout of milk-based meals (if I use any, I prefer rice or soya milk), and all the seads are better RAW.

Oh Gosh, I am critical towards Kate Bush! ;)

  • (Chorus)

meat kills, its nasty, its crappy, i'll have none on mine, so

if you go-oh-oh on, i'll throw it through your window,

    (bridge)

    ooh, Vegemite Is,

    a via-via-viable alternative ooooooh

you know, its death free, and healthy!

  • @mysterymachinist :D Nice one!

  • oh kate!

  • Meat is murder, and Kate Bush is fantastic, for always and ever.

  • sexy...i love her

  • Sorry but none of these vegetarian dishes look inviting at all. Instead of the "non meat loaf" why not go for a nice lentil stew with bread dumplings? And instead of the boring cooked vegetables and the bland brown rice, what's wrong with a nice mushroom risotto or vegetables fried in olive oil with mozzarella or halloumi? And about the soy sauce (or tofu), did you know it's killing the rain forest? Why not just eat normal food and leave out the meat?

  • @Foolanna Almost all soy from rainsforest areas is used for animal fodder.

  • @MarquisNoir78

True but if you choose to be a vegetarian for ecological reasons (amongst others of course) you should always focus on local products.

I am of course prejudiced against soy because I have an intolerance (probably developed it by eating too much of it in my early twenties) and I think it's overused in vegetarian food. The last time I chose "vegetarian" on a plane I was given a tofu steak, mashed potatoes and a muffin, both containing soy milk. Frustrating!

  • Also, the "non vegetarian option" was a really yummy looking pumpkin ravioli and a brownie. And I was on my way to India where I had the most delicious vegetarian and mostly vegan food ever, curries with coconut milk, fried bananas for coffee break... no need to for soy and no need for soy milk or bland brown rice at all!

  • @Foolanna If you just clear the meat off a plate and eat everything else, you're not getting all your body needs. A lot of (early) vegetarians think that and just eat lots of carbohydrates.

  • @stfugtfofgt Nice handle. 80% of macronutrient dietary requirement must be for energy, which you get from carbohydrate. Protein requirement is at a maximum of 10% as is Fat, which is roughly the natural proportions for all fruit and veg. Might I ask what are the bodily needs from meat?

  • @veganlotus There are none.

  • Kate Bush speaks like Danny from Withnail & I. Guess she's had too many Camberwell Carrot Cakes.

  • @jawjawellll She speaks in a southern eastern county, accent not because of drugs hun although she did admit to smoking a few spliffs but then she admitted it wasn't for her , No she dont do drugs

  • Kate Bush makes vegetables sexy!

  • WE LOVE YOU KATE......

  • Wow what a wonderful interview.Just the joy in her eyes for sharing her home and food was so calming and almost like you would be sitting right there having tea with her.

  • l would gladly donate my meat to Kate.....she really needs t get some red meat into her,,,, she is so pale,,,,a common thing with Vego's....

  • @impeter1 Not Necessarily. She was born that way, so stop discriminating.

  • @TheOrangeMickey i hate it when people say i look ill because im skinny and pale. and that i should eat meat to be healthy. i've not been ill since i became veg 2 years ago. they shouldnt judge a book by its cover.

  • @impeter1 this is so stupid!

  • I have beena veggie for 15 years now and happen to be a huge fan of Kate Bush. I feel priviledged to enjoy cooking my veggie food every day for my son and I.

  • Is it me or does Kate sound like a slower version of Frank Spencer?

  • You can't beat a nice thick tart once in a while.

  • i love them all specially before time the seeds!!

look at the weather, the wind wlows for the free ...:)))

  • She says her future will have less meat in it... yeah I have seen her recently and she was right.

  • shes so pale.

  • and then the veggie god created quorn :)

  • is she still a vegetarian??

  • @cornpap2k9

from what I have read she still is

you can read her thoughts on vegetarianism, &c. here:

    johnrussell.name/recipes/kate_bus.htm

youtube won't let me put the w's at the beginning---you know to add them! :)

  • Bleugh!! I think Kate and Delia would agree that veggie food has made vast improvements since then.

  • Funny to know that most of the people I adore turn out to be vegetarians or vegans... :)

  • Wow Kate's voice is amazing first interview i've seen of hers. great video :D

  • my mate Kate you go girl

  • The vegetarian diet does indeed keep one young and healthy especially in the long term....... and no living creature has to suffer for it.

  • She's soo sweet, where are todays Kate's? you know what I mean? people with personality, talent and natural beauty, grace and modesty.

  • Kaaaaaaaaaaate bush sounds completely marvelous! Gah! So sweet!

  • Comment removed

  • how old is she now? she seems like such a beautiful person, inside and out! :D

  • @xBonesAreBeautiful now she is over 50, I think 52. She still looks great.

  • People who eat animal meat turn up their noses in disgust when it's suggested to them that Human flesh is also tasty and just as edible. Why do human's think their flesh is more sacro-sanct than that of animals? ! I personally think it's a load of bollocks. Consuming animal flesh doesn't make one any physically healthier than someone who doesn't.

  • @JorgeBarka no disrespect or anything but....how do you know human flesh is "tasty"....?

Oh I get it. You're saying we shouldn't discriminate our meats. human meat and sheep meat are equal so eat 'em all!

    :)

  • @LilyLeeful "Humans think their flesh alone is sacrosanct. Why not the flesh of animals ? If humans believe in killing and consuming animal flesh ..they ought to start eating their own as well - instead of inventing hypocritical 'taboo's' + laws . I'm not saying that they should murder + kill others for a feed. Maybe - eat the fresh, healthy carcasses of those who have been killed in accidents etc. Why not ? Human + pigmeat taste the same !

  • @JorgeBarka I don't know what human flesh tastes like, but if I would heave nothing to eat but human flesh, I would just eat it, because it's a body, that's all. Like a cow or a pig, I agree with this. But I would not eat people now, if I heave vegetables, cereals, fish and other meat.

  • @JorgeBarka YEAH WE DO turn up our noses in disgust at the thought of cannibalism. So do *most* animals as well.

You still didn't answer my question about how you somehow know human meat is "tasty" or "tastes like pig"

You forget that we are animals as well. As omnivores, we follow an instinct to eat meat. Now if some of us wish to refrain from eating meat, we can. But to say that eating a pig is the same as eating a person is REALLY outrageous, and makes your argument much less credible.

  • @JorgeBarka Yes, it is wrong to consume meat the way much fo the modern world does. I'm a vegetarian in protest of it. But are animals wrong for eating their prey?

And if you argue that some animals are cannibalistic, I can argue that some others partake in infanticide. Dolphins kill newborns with handicaps. You can understand the reasoning, but it wouldn't be a modern day human practice. BECAUSE IT'S SICK. We do not, like most animals, eat our own because it is SICK.

  • Disagree? Eat your next deceased family member or friend. Then defend your position. No really, imagine, as you read, eating the flesh of your grandmother, or your child, dead prematurely, or your significant other...Really makes you reconsider, eh? If not, you're insane.

Sorry, cannibalism isn't a taboo because we think we're so much better than other animals, it's a taboo in OUR FUCKING GENETICS.

Read A Modest Proposal By Jonathon Swift if you REALLY need further convincing.

  • This isn't the entire discussion between Kate and Delia...there's more where Kate talks about tinned foods, Fawlty Towers--running out of "Waldorfs"--and, in general, just being her lovely, humble, and other-worldly self.

  • thank you for posting this! i'm so happy and proud to find out that kate's a vegetarian!!! it's not surprising, given her gentle nature and warm, kind heart :) :) :)
