  • Amazing quality!

  • these guys tear it up!!!

  • 6:19.....tractor beam........sucked me right in

  • the breakdown at the end rocks my socks every time i watch it....

  • Darren King ain't nothin' to fuck with. Roy (or Greg) kills the programming & 7:33 - 9:40 is fuckin' music. So original, with the drums & the wailing synths. . .Mutemath is in my favorite band list with RATM, LP, Pink, The Surfers, RHCP, Nirvana & Maroon5.

  • This is only one of the most amazing performances ever!

  • really like how they stretch an already awesome song into something awesomer, (almost impossible with mute math)

  • I hope Mute Math comes back to Kansas City. I'd love to see them live.

  • Rawk?

    Jayhawk?

    :o

I'd love for anyone to come to KC. XD Alas, such is the fate of the midwest.

  • You just have to keep your eyes peeled. I saw Skillet at the Midland Theatre last November, and the Transiberian Orchestra at the Sprint Center in December.

  • I went to a few concerts last year, but the from occasional myspace stalking on some bands, if I lived almost any significant fraction closer to either coast, the frequency would jump up quite a bit. :P

  • I'm amazed by the sound quality of the video. Great band, Great music. Can't wait to see them on their new tour.

  • awesome! going to see them tomorrow for my birthday!! man its going to be great

  • Me too! except it's not my birthday...Happy Birthday!

  • way to go bro. you are the best. keep the videos coming!

  • If they ever come to Atlanta, I'm IN, not a second thought!!!

  • I really love Mute Math they really rock!!!!!!

  • Crowd Surfing? Whoever was at that concert was lucky to witness such a sight. mutemath, bringing back the crowd surfing, and with added awesomeness.

  • and weee allllll.....break the saaame

  • love em

  • Such an awesome vid...great quality and sound!

  • What was that first song?! What's it called? I've been looking! Oh, and Mute Math is great, expect for what i've been hearing lately from their new album. I can easily see and understand why they're angrier now, because people hear their music and don't really hear their intent in the music, and they have some views that they're carrying, but I wish that they wouldn't go that way about it. I wish I could talk with those guys.

  • Noticed

  • This is the live version of Noticed, with additionnal lyrics and instrumentals. Probably the best way they found to increase the power of this song :)

  • No, it starts as Noticed, but it's definitely Break the Same.

  • Mute Math rocks!

  • jeez theyre all over the place! i really want to go to their concerts!

  • ok dude, if you think theyre not incredible go out and find me a rhythm section as tight and amazing as they are. Not to mention all the loops and samples they constantly have playing underneath, that the entire band has to stay tight with. Theyre incredible, and yes, I do listen to ALOT of music.

  • Darren is in SUCH control. I love them all SO much!!

  • AWESOME!

  • Mmm, their style drives me nuts!

out with the new album already!

  • this song is amazing live, just heard them just a few hours ago in columbia, for the first time, and I'm a fan now.

  • new song out now on their myspace

  • I think Summer of this year.

I know! Believe me, we're ALL excited for the new album!

    Totally cant wait!

  • the guitar sounds different?!?

  • Ha - wow, I've heard of these guys for a couple years now, but never really checked them out. The ending is awesome - and of course, the drummer rocks.

  • I just saw these guys live opening for Matchbox 20 and they had a great live performance, I got their cd and it was good too, but seeing them live and seeing them do this song especially was amazing. And they were just the openers!

  • i just saw them live last night opening for matchbox 20 and they were just amazing i agree that seeing them live is just plain AMAZING!

  • the beggiing of there tour was in miami! W?HY DIDNT I GO!?!? THIS IS AMAZING!!!!

  • Finally something new!!! I thought I was either going to just die from boredom or actually kill myself. But this is great and good and exciting! Are their albums good too?

  • Their album is FANTASTIC.....THEIR MY FAV BAND EVER

  • How did you record to close up, and still get great sound?

  • I researched and then purchased a Sony mini-disc microphone that can handle high decibel levels and plugged it into the video camera. This is the very first time I used it for a concert and it worked great. Unfortunately a lot of the sound is behind where we were standing and you only mostly hear the stage monitors...which weren't turned up that much because they have ear monitors.

  • Well thank you for doing that. I am so sick of people taking videos of things like this and you can't understand a thing that is going on.

  • Oh yeah, and how did you get such great seats? Crap. You are like right there.

  • Great Vid reminds of of the show in Detroit these guys are amazing

  • what was the size of the audience at this show?

  • I don't think it was sold out, but I'm sure it was over 500, probably more. It's a smaller, more intimate venue.

  • yeah it looks pretty small. but most pro bands enjoy playing smaller venues becuase it has more of a connection with the audience.

thanks for posting this video its awesome. you did a great job capturing it.

  • Your audio rocks!

I can totally hear the vocals.

People just don't understand that when you are that close all the speakers are behind you. Even though the sound at the front isn't the best you can't beat being that close to MuteMath!! They are the best. Thanks for posting your concert clip! It rocks.

  • Thanks! You are right nothing beats being that close, but now that they use ear monitors and not stage monitors, a lot of the sound is behind you. I used a Sony mini-disc mic plugged into the video camera.

  • Break the Same is definitely one of my favorite Mute Math songs next to Control and Typical.

  • Good postition, but I can't hear the vocals at all.

  • saw them last night... greatest show i've been to.

met darren, paul and greg after... two of the coolest guys i've ever met...

  • didnt meet roy? thats too bad

  • it's very true. i really wanted to too. and by two, i mean three of course.

    darren is my hero.

  • Saw them last night....greatest show I've been to.

  • I saw these guys opening for Switchfoot a year and a half ago. By the end of their set, they had people that had no idea who they were 20 mins before singing every word of their songs. Thats how good the are live.

  • saw them last night!

  • amazing drumming..hopefully ill be doing that sometime soon :P..never seen them live, but great band nevertheless

  • hot damn

  • the last time i saw these guys it was on october 22 in o6.

for those that dont know that is 2 days after this intial taping

    IT WAS AWSOME!!!

  • OHMYGOD!!!!!!! they're so stupid good. i'm seeing them the 23rd of august.

  • Cant wait to see these guys in Chicago!

  • Amazing clip!! I've seen the band for 2 times now, and this video represents their live performance perfectly

  • HOLY CRAP THE DRUMMER IS SO TALENTED

  • You cannot possibly get better than Mute Math! Especially the drum breakdown at the end. They have got to put something similar to it on their next album. Its the only instrumental track they've done that can compare with Reset.

And you gotta love Paul's Rhodes solo right at the beginning of the drum solo. It's purely addictive. I have to listen to it on this video at least once per day.

Mute Math needs to come to Winnipeg, Canada. Then I can actually see them live!

  • Damn! Best vid of them I've seen yet!

  • mad...annd sweeet!!!!

  • I remember at lollapalooza 2006 during the drum jam they took the drumstool and used that as a drum for a while. That was one sickass jam plus it was the first time i'd ever seen or heard of the band

  • I totally touched that snare (and Paul's hand lol) when they played in Houston 2 days ago

  • i have watched TONS of videos that people post of the mute math drum breakdown (because every single one is different somehow), and i have to say that this is the best one. i love watching them perform Break the Same and seeing how well they transition in their live show. thank you so much.

  • Thanks! YouTube doesn't do it justice. 2.3 gigs down to 100 mb or less. :(

  • Great clip, man were you close! Thanks for posting.
