  • jogo mt antigo, passei minha infancia até uns 6 anos tentando vira e nunca conssegui, só em 2010 com 14 anos na cara e emulado no pc conssegui realiza o sonho de vira kkkkkk

  • Think about Dragon Age: Origins, there's nothing that made that game more extraordinary than the incredible acting skills of every voice actor in the game that could make the manliest of men feel emotion. You couldn't do that in an 8-bit RPG.

What about improved graphics? Sure, pixel art looks better than HQ art in many ways, but you can use a wide range of colors now, any colors you want! Since video games are more popular, it's easier to make simple ones now more than ever, as well.

  • All this music would make the best heavy metal.

  • I hear the music to this and I'm 13 years old again. Just reminds me of a fall afternoon, sitting in my room playing the hell out of this game and loving every minute of it.

Flashman and Bubbleman's stages were my favorite music

  • No, back then there where no such things as achievements except to beat the game...:))

  • Achievments???? Back then we played just for fun and to beat the game, and not to compete over the internet;)

Achievments are a plage, startet with the xbox, and now there everywhere ;))

  • why is he avoiding the energy? Is there an achievement for that?

  • Makes me want to get a old 15 inch CRT TV and hook up a NES to it just to get all the retro nestalgia out of it.

  • Megaman is up there with Sonic as one of the best soundtracked series of all time.

  • Mega Man II had great music.

  • What great music. I love the melodies, counter-melodies and harmonies. They unfortunately don't make music like this any-more. Yay Megaman 2!

  • whats the song starting at 4:07?

  • @A010795

    MM2 Wily stage 1-2

  • @A010795 Dr. Wily Stage 1.

  • the enemies got funny names: airman sound like his head only got air in it

    quickman just sound stupid.

flashman what flashman, well the whole game is flashing you why wount he does that

Megaman 2 looks like a good game, but I never played it born to late begin 90's

  • 0:46 for the most epic music in gaming history

  • @XxtheboredonexX The music in Megaman may have been one of the best reasons to play.

  • @XxtheboredonexX it has a dubstep-esque drop to it, shoulda started people around 0:38

  • @ibeleaf True.

  • @XxtheboredonexX

    Hum.... No. Just no.

The most epic song in video themes is Final Fantasy VI (US = III) celes theme. (opera)

  • Best Megaman EVUR!

  • Somewhat of a Crime to leave out Quick Man ;) Otherwisely - This. Is. Awesomeness.

  • Megaman music is awesome ringtones material!

  • i played this game when i was 7 or 8, about 16 yeas ago. can't remember the OST anymore. can hardly remember the areas. i only know i beat the game back then.

the game cartridge wasn't mine so i gave it back and i wasn't able to play it again.

i tried it on an emu some months ago and geez, this Megaman is pretty hard.

  • I sadly never played this, but I did play I Wanna Be the Guy.

    BIG MISTAKE.

  • YOU CHEAT MAN =/

  • Just had this one mega man track stuck in my head but I couldn't remember

which game it was from. Then it came on at 4:00 minute mark. So good, it brings back memories of the good ole days when video games were actually a challenge.

  • @Blazincognito

That stomped me too man. Now I'm annoyed that I don't know.

  • This is my anthum

  • DOWNLOAD ALL THE GAMES!

  • I do not know how you did to get the music from the games, but I am very grateful to you for doing that because there are melodies that bring back good memories!

  • Retro gaming>Modern gaming

only old school people like myself will understand this concept.....

  • @NewVegasTroop Its true to a certain degree. Their all still very good and original games being released, just look at Okami for instance, but pre-2000 you didn't have the power of super graphics and quality music, so they had the work with their limitations. That meant brilliant gameplay, and catchy, memorable tunes. When a game was considred ''really good'' in the 80s and 90s, you knew you spend your money on something you would not soon forget.

  • @NewVegasTroop I miss those days when videogames felt like videogames instead of movies that you play.

  • @NewVegasTroop

No way. I grew up with these games too, but it's like comparing apples with oranges. Personally, I enjoy modern games more.

With every video like this I see, there is atleast one dweeb trying to be "cool" because they have an opinion like you. I'm not ashamed to say most modern games kick the ass of these retro games.

I'm not blinded by nostalgia to see it. I appreciate what retro gaming has done, but it had it's time, hence why it's retro..

  • @JudgeEden i understand your point but im not trying to be "cool" it is just my honest opinion, i too enjoy playing modern games too but to the point of having a nostalgia feel about them no, it is obvious that when compared, modern games will be better, everyone knows this, but back in the day when i (or we) were kids videogames where an escape goat to reality, where we had awesome adventures (i know it sounds lame but), now games are just an experience, a 5 to 8 hour FPS experience with....

  • @JudgeEden with multiplayer being the more important aspect of a game, that is not what gaming is about, is not about no-scoping someone across the map in COD, to go on a killing spree in halo, to buy incomplete products that have to be patched and later needs DLC to get the full package, gaming is about the "immersion", only RPG games have stayed true to this concept, so until i see games today being complete and DLC gone, retro gaming is the superior gaming, nuff said.....

  • @NewVegasTroop

Thank you for your well thought out response. I really mean that. Sorry if I offended.

  • @NewVegasTroop

I will say this though, Retro is definitely not superior to me. I LIKE DLC, provided it's done right.

I love Mega Man, but I would NEVER think it's better than Skyrim. Not a chance in Hell. It's not better than Devil May Cry either. There is literally nothing redeeming about these old games besides nostalgia, there is NO other way around it. Everything advances as time goes by, including games. Were the automobiles in the late 1800's better than todays? Of course not.

  • @JudgeEden i completely agree with you on skyrim because its just incredible, like i said RPGs are the only games that have stayed true to gaming was all about....

  • @JudgeEden WTF's skyrim? 1800 automobiles? why not compare todays models to that of the 20th century. The saying is true "they don't make them like they used to" my first car was an 87 Crown Victoria and I purchased it in 2001, still runs BTW. But hey these are just opinions. GO MEGAMAN!

  • @JudgeEden I too enjoy both time genres, but not just because nostalgia one or advanced like the other. I play because it's fun. The thing is, games back then were groundbreaking, unlike today where you see a new game and you just kinda wait until you hear good news or it's part of an already popular series. To be honest, big games today feel too much the same all over. Long stories with the same plot and similar gameplay. It's not all bad, but feels like a mush of the same material. You know?

  • @NewVegasTroop Well I definitially came into gaming closer to modern, my first game was A Link to the Past for SNES but I definitally know what you mean, I played Mega Man 9 and 10 on my Wii and they kicked my ass, it's so god damn hard!!! And there seems to be alot more attention to detail in old school gaming, not to mention nostalgia.

  • @NewVegasTroop Indeed when considering fps has taken over the majority of gaming when back in the old days it was more platformers

  • @NewVegasTroop That's what new gamers don't realize now you have online, chatting, and music from popular bands in games. Back in the day the game had to be super interesting and the gameplay flawless with a dash of kickass music to hook you in. These days IMO all games look the same with FPS being more popular. Give me Megaman, Mario, Link,Sonic, and even Bonk.

  • @NewVegasTroop

    Incorrect.

    >Grew up with PS2

    >Loves SNES.

  • @NewVegasTroop Yeah! Way to go for elitism!

  • @NewVegasTroop

I like how you discuss how much better retro gaming is when you named your account after a game that came out in 2010,

  • @greyfox389 RPGs have stayed true to what games used to be like, COMPLETE, and fallout 3 and new vegas are some of my favorites games, so fallout new vegas being released in 2010 means absolutely nothing to my preference to old school games

  • @NewVegasTroop Only a fool couldn't understand that there are PLENTY of great games today like there was many years ago, they are just not mainstream and talk about as much.

  • @NewVegasTroop Being old has nothing to do with good tastes. I'm 19 and agree that most games from today are bad, but it doesn't mean all of them. Look at Portal 2 and Bioshock, they're more modern, but they're not bad. Still, I did prefer the Snes and Genesis over the NES. So, just liking something for being retro is kind of ignorant in a respect.

  • @SYTHE5 lol today 12 of January is my birthday and i turn 18, so you are older then me, i started gaming when i was 4 with the first game i play was super mario bros 3 then i just followed gaming as it evolved. now i haven't played portal 2 or bioshock but i know those games are good, however my point is that there are more old games that are good as oppose to today games with all those call of duty clones an such. besides i didn't say i hate all modern games...

  • @NewVegasTroop Same as you. Plus, I'm 14. And started playing Sonic 1 Genesis/Megadrive! Sonic 1 was my first vidio game. Sonic 1 (Genesis) > Call of duty

  • I remember I was sick, and couldn't go to my third grade class. But for some odd reason, at home taking my vicks and nightquil medicine and tylenol... I began to feel so much better playing Mega Man 3. For some reason my sickness was going away because of the pure joy I was experiencing on my NES... I knew it couldn't have been the medicine because what I felt could not be felt with medicine. It was MEGA MAN 3. That will never leave my mind. Ever.

  • I love this soundtrack!

  • I love this game bland the soundtrack too

  • It really is amazing that the best much was made 20+ years ago in these games. Today's stuff just doesn't compare.

  • COD has killed us all.............we must play MEGAMAN

  • @DarkRikdyou123

Downthumbed for begging for thumbs up. By the way, you can trash talk call of duty all you want but when it comes to music, all cod games have excellent orchestreal soundtracks.

  • the opening themes is actually my favorite from the game

  • So, he goes on 9min on Mega Man, but 6 min with Mega Man 2? Makes no sense. And QuickMan is definitely one of the worst tracks in this game. This could have been done better.

  • @JudgeEden

Okay, I just found out Quick Man is NOT in this, it's Metal Man. How someone could POSSIBLY make that mistake is beyond me. I guess I should have listened to this some more before commenting. But still, more tracks could have been included.

  • Bubble Man music supremacy!

  • For the most curious :

    Intro

    FlashMan

    QuickMan

    BubbleMan

    Dr. Wily: Stage 1&2

    Ending

  • @BillCane2011 im pretty sure the 3rd one is METAL MAN not quickman

  • @brandons3

    Err...

    You're right.

    T_T

  • I love the part at 5:07 :)

  • Some of the songs sound like a programmer's primitive stabs at making a metal tune. Bubble Man has the best music though by far imo.

  • Google "the megas get equipped" they wrote lyrics and a story, it kicks robot chasey

  • This is seriously great video game music.

  • who loved if these themes got lyrics?

Dr willy stage got lyrics I know

  • @dragongame2 Oh FUCK NO! D:

  • @Ianuarius85 what is your problem?

you don't even know how it would be

  • @dragongame2 Sure I do.

  • @Ianuarius85 dont be a stuppid fucker that dislike things even if they are good, cause that is pathetic

  • @dragongame2 Don't talk sass to me.

  • Ah the days when you'd buy a complete game. No DLC crap.

  • Man the stories I have about this game. This came out not too long after I beat the 1st one(damn you sand boss and Dr. Wily) So I haaaaaad to have it. I was not disappointed IT WAS EVERYTHING I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE AND MORE. Everything was BETTER than the first MEGA MAN music, bosses, gameplay, weapons. This is my favorite MEGA MAN except for the MEGA MAN X SERIES.

  • this game is so hard!

  • 0:46 EPICNESS BEGINS!!!

  • light man was SUCH a hard level!

  • i really regret for what i said but i was never born in the 70s or 80s i was born in the 94 which sucks for me i understand why i dont mind old games i like to something very basic and cool but i wish i was born in the 70s but i hated for what i grew up with!

  • Comment removed

  • hey, dick, you're dealing 4+ damage per megabuster shot to the bosses. Undoubtedly, you're great at the game. However, you're dealing Godly amounts of damage to the bosses.. It's a fucking sham! I'm sure give enough time and energy that anyone could figure out the levels.. some of the bosses go outside the norm of complete predictability... Im not impressed until you kill them WITHOUT hacks!

  • Airmans stage, best song!

  • Perfect reason to buy NES :)

  • "100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3" on FACEBOOK

    SPREAD THE WORD!

    SUPPORT LEGENDS!

    SUPPORT MEGAMAN!

  • I never played mega man games in the past. But when I heard about ot I played it on emulators. When I beated this game I pressed a SAVE STATE. When I heard the ending music I literally cried. It was that beautiful. When it ended I reloaded and I heard the ending over and over again. It's shame that nowadays, there not so good gamemusics. Thumbs if you agree with me.

    Ps:Sorry for bad English.

  • @MrNorbert1994

Megaman 3's opening song is amazing.

  • @rockgobbler Yes, I agree.

  • @MrNorbert1994 I think the music from super mario galaxy, mario kart and zelda are great and even nothing can beat 8/16 bit I must say I can enjoy those theme

  • @twiligame I agree with you, but If you played a genious game called Journey to Silius you know how awesome the 8bit music.

  • @MrNorbert1994 what do you aspect from sunsoft they always make great music like blaster master and they still use their original blaster master theme in their current games a remix of it but it sound good

  • @MrNorbert1994 Beated, huh?

  • @MrNorbert1994 Yes.

  • @MrNorbert1994 YES.

  • Doesnt megaman kinda remind you of astroboy?

  • @ihateniggers98100 They were going to make him Astroboy but The Company Canceled The Deal and they made this

  • @Lolpie3456 Seriously?Where did you learn this?

  • @ihateniggers98100 Wikipedia

  • (insert brentalfloss quotes here)

  • This video has been added to your Favorites.

  • God i miss games like this.. which actualy felt like an accomplishment when beating them!

  • this was WAYYYY harder on gameboy :P

  • 4:05 my favorite Megaman track of all time

  • @ZombieKiller766

    AGREED. :D

  • Mega Man 2, one of the greatest games in the NES era.

Oh, how I long for the good old times of true hardcore gaming.

  • the only mega man game I ever beat & the best megaman game of all time

  • first song reminds me of some other song.

  • 8-bit kicks ass.I hate 16-bit music,it just doesnt have as much a nostalgic feel as 8-bit music. Also 16-bit music sounds so simple compared to 8-bit

  • i hear these tunes and just start singin brentalfloss' lyrics xD

  • drum and 8-bit bass

  • the music of this game puts the muthafukin ROCK in Rockman

  • I definitely need the track that starts at 4:05. Some of the best old school video game music ever.

  • Fuck quick man's stage fuck fuck fuck

  • MM2 is more popular because it was made first, though the 3rd one is better. Like with the Godfather and the Godfather 2.

Did Megaman 2 have the slide? No, so we had to waste the flash when we could've slid through the lasers!!! Fail!

Did Megaman 2 have Rush, the best robot dog ever? No it had generic items. Fail!

Did Megaman 2 have Protoman, the best character in the series? No, it didn't.

    Epic fail!

MM2 is my 2nd favorite MM, but I love MM3 10x better. Thumb me down, I don't care.

  • @EliroX904 Zero > Proto

  • @swordo21 Not really. Zero has green tits and a ponytail! Plus Zero's theme from neither X1, X3 nor X4 (Does he have a theme in the rest of his appearences?) are better than Protoman's. Don't get me wrong, I love Zero and Megaman 2, but I like Protoman and Megaman 3 more.

  • @EliroX904 no yeah really. Zero was so much more amazing than protoman was. Sure protoman's theme has this nice mystical feel to it and protoman is cool and all, but the X3 Zero theme has the same mystic vibe to it (atleast to me) and the rest of Zero's themes are increadibly bad ass. Plus Zero with his giant lazers lols at Protoman's pewpews.

  • @swordo21 No MM theme compares to Protoman's. NONE.

Also pewpews? Have you played Powered Up, 9, 10, & Bass, Power Battle series or 5?

In Powered Up his weapon does more damage than ANYTHING else in the game, in 9 and 10 he can charge his buster unlike MM and Bass, in the Power Battle series he he can charge his buster too, in Megaman 5 in severly weaked Darkman in one shot when even MM only died from just one of Darkman's shots, and in the end he destroyed the fortress walls. And Kings shield

  • @swordo21 Also yeah Zero is stronger, but it's different timelines. In 21XX do you know how much technology advanced? Zero wouldn't be nearly as strong if he were made with current technology. It's not fair to compare their powers, but Protoman doesn't just fire weak dot, he only did in MM3 and in that game he obviously wasn't fighting seriously, it was just sparring matches meant to be practice for the slide. I'd like to see MM destroy the giant object in Gemini Man's stage.

  • @EliroX904 with the crashbombs from Megaman 2 of course ^.^

  • @swordo21 How the hell does Protoman have the crash bombs? He doesn't even need them to blow shit up. Plus in MM9 and 10 if you check his weapon selection he doesn't have any crash bombs.

... oh wait that was a joke right?

  • @EliroX904 you said you'd like to see MM destroy that giant platform in Gemini Man's stage. Well whos to say he doesn't still have the crashbombs from Crashman in Megaman 2? He would just have to tele home get them then teleback and blow it sky high he didn't really NEED proto for that it was just handy :P

  • @swordo21 I meant with his regular weapon genius. Also PM gets the crash bombs in Power Fighters which is after MM7 so there is no way PM had to use them, and I truly doubt they are as strong as PM's charged shot. But if we wanna see which is stronger there'll need to be a Powered Up 2 with PM returning.

  • @EliroX904 Everyone says that Megaman 2 has the best music of the nintendo series and pretty much out of all of them, and although I love the Megaman 2 musically and gameplay-wise I think Megaman 3 is the greatest video game of all time. Snakeman is the best villain ever in a game and his stages music is possibly the greatest video game song of all time, right there with Mike Tyson's Punchout music, Megaman 2 music and all the other top notch elite level songs from the illest era of video games

  • @dennispurcello MM3 isn't my favorite game of all time, but it's easily in the top 5. Anyways I do believe it has some better music than 2 as well.

Boss battle theme- 3. 2's battle theme sounds like a superhero theme.

Title screen- 3. 2's sounds like a superhero theme as well.

Magnetman's theme is the 3rd best boss theme ever, behind Snakeman and then Bubbleman.

Ending theme- 3. Protoman's theme is the best in any video game ever.

  • every time i hear the Wily Stage 1 theme music...I gotta run now :)

  • God... that's some god damn great music! Todays games usually have forgettable themes, not so the good old 8bit era. There are exceptions, however, like Metal Gear Solid or God of War, but those are far and in between

  • I understand why Megaman 2 is the first video!

  • THX alot Garudoh i really appreciates your work great

  • and the Airman theme??

  • @chicodelbodom I love Airman's theme! That one part where the melody starts going into a crazy solo is so badass :)

  • like pokemon ô.Ô

  • No one could role through this game like that. Game Genie?

  • @wbneilsen Most likely a "TAS", Tool-Assisted Speedrun.

  • @TuucciZ nah if it were tool assissted he would be glitching through walls and stuff

  • @merpsh Are you sure? Many of those jumps look pretty pin-point accurate... Although there seems to be enough room for error it's executable without assisting tools. It's hard to tell with an untrained eye, hence the "most likely" in my previous comment.

  • @TuucciZ the stuff in the beginning of the airman stage i originally thought was tool assisted, but he got himself hit trying to pull it off in the second area with those floating heads. So I don't think it's tool assisted and the stuff in quickman's stage you need to do to actually have any flash stopper left to fight quickman.

  • Thanks for the great uploads, Garudoh. This is perfect "working" music for when you don't want lyrics cluttering your thoughts. Best..

  • I can't believe I completed this game when I was 6.. but 19 years later I can barely get through first stage lol..

  • Video games for free via steam!

    Points2game D O T Com

  • I cant get Megaman's music outta my head... AND I DONT WANT IT TO GET OUT :D

  • slave of youtube employee is trying to hurt me everyday but i feel no pain!!!

  • I WOULD ALWAYS PREFER MY NES/SNES TO ANY OTHER GAMING SYSTEM OUT THERE AND STILL YET TO COME. CLASSIC!

  • A very fun and easy game to finish! definitely set the platform for megaman 3 which is my all time favorite!

  • Life was so simple back then, no bills, no adult drama: just playing games all day long, playing mega man, Tyson's punch out, Mario, Zelda, etc....

  • @cjames11 I agree. so simple, no internet so if you wanted to find out about anything you had to read it in a magazine or on TV. Back in the day of the NES, SNES and Megadrive games where just so straightforward. I miss those days :-(

  • @cjames11

I'm right there with ya man, right on!

  • @cjames11 Fuck yeah throw in some excite bike an kung Fu we'd be gamen all day... The joy of simpler times

  • Thumbs up if you think you enjoyed this game more than other kids did.

  • @FloMonKish belive it or not i'm 12...belive it or not i would still enjoy games like this, Mario, Zelda, Fallout 1,2,...even Cheetahmen :) games today are just bullshit

  • @Plavie22

You dont get points just because you're 12 and like retro games. I grew up with these games, and I can tell you that current games are not bullshit, there are a lot of fun games made today.

I'll never understand kids that prefer retro games over current ones.

  • @JudgeEden

Nostalgia. I grew up with these games and I prefer them just because they are easier to pick up, press start, and play. A lot of new games you need to invest a lot more time and effort into.

Although I'm 27 and can't afford the new game machines either. I have tried newer games. They are just so complex and hard to get into. Give me Mario 3, hit start and adventure time!

  • @porterwake

True, they are more complex, but there are a lot of good games out there. However, I totally understand if one thinks they may be too expensive. But looking at old Nintendo commercials, they were quite expensive as well. I cant believe how much they were charging. But, it was the times I guess.

I'm 25 myself, and I can say that I do like current games over the older ones. As much as I do like them. Mario though, I cant get back into that, too boring for me.

  • @JudgeEden

You and I have different definitions of boring. For me, too much plot, cut screens and dead space between gameplay is boring. I really love the old Mega Man, Super Mario, Sonic games for the quick play. In addition, old games are more challenging. I can beat Super Mario Galaxy complete mode with ease. Super Mario Bros. 1 for NES? I still cannot for the damn life of me beat it.

  • @porterwake

When I liked Mario, it was because of the innovations they did with the game. Super Mario Sunshine is the last one I ever liked. I think Galaxy is very dumb. I believe a game doesn't ALWAYS have to be challenging. That is a big flaw with the old games, I can hardly think of one where it didn't demand for some type of skill.

And sure, I think Gameplay rules over all else too, but if cutscenes and plot are done right it does nothing but compliment the game.

  • @porterwake

A lot of old games are very challenging. However, one of my favorite game series is Devil May Cry, a game known for how challenging it is. Contrary to popular opinion, newer games aren't ALL a walk in the park. The problem people have is they want a game that defeats them, they want the difficulty way too high. Why play a game if you dont have a chance of winning? More importantly, why enjoy it? How can you? I believe masochism exists in gamers as well when it comes to difficulty.

  • @porterwake

I think the best thing a gamer can do, is progress along with the games. I believe it's best when a gamer not only remembers and enjoys the classics, but also moves on to bigger and better games. Obviously, there are some exceptions to this.

For example, Maniac Mansion is better than some other games i've played, but only because of it's ingenuity, and it's music.

One of my favorite games, Darksiders, borrows inspiration from some old games. Everyone should check it out.

  • @JudgeEden belive me...i have friends like those :(

  • @Plavie22

Try the newer games, they aren't all FPS. I find it hard to believe that a gamer cant find SOMETHING new to enjoy. It's very hard to believe that.

  • @JudgeEden true..but most are crap :(

  • @Plavie22

While everyone has their own opinions, I dont believe this either.

Game taste is subjective. Just because you dont like certain games doesn't mean they are indefinitely crap. As for nostalgia, I have a lot of nostalgia with my old games, but it does not redeem them, they are good memories, nothing more. Although, some of them are still enjoyable.

You say most are crap, have you tried most? I would sincerely doubt it. No gamer should trap themselves in a retro bubble.

  • @JudgeEden i do :)

  • omg the memories of me and my cousin when we were kids buzzin like fuck, sat in front of an old tv playing megaman lol

  • Who actually *dislikes* this video?

  • @pointlesscommentary Kids who have no idea there were video games before Xbox and Playstation.

  • @phlyersphan25 yeah, these are real games. just because consoles we have today can have features like online gaming and all that doesnt change the fact that i will always love classic video games way better than today's games
