You need space between you and your victim if you are to hit them with anything.

The protesters are in control here, they just don't know it yet. It's no good pleading with words and gesture to these thugs. Everyone needs to surge forward in one solid mass, right up against the police, pushing them back, they can't hit you if you do that, they can't use tazers, they can't use water cannons if you do that. Body armour, helmets etc. Disguise yourselves. Fight back.

Everyone should have a right to to peacefully protest,but why deliberatly do it on a busy central street when there is plenty of space on Catalunya square itself! The police have the job to clear the street for the traffic. I don't sypathist with these protesters methods!

These police are thugs plain and simple and their victims are perfectly justified to fight back with violence as far as I'm concerned. It's self defence.
