Well, I would dare to say, I speak English fluently and I've understood every show scene/movie scene/sketch I watched in English so far, but I can easily imagine there are people who are just too lazy to translate everything they hear on TV in the afternoon when they basically just want to hang out. Is that so hard to understand? You could also see it as a compliment to American humorous arts if there are so many Germans watching the show that it is necessary to translate it.
