The reason DBSK were able to survive so long since debuting in 2003 is because they never do the same genre of music. I guess you aren't really familiar with their career right? They originally were an acapella group who turned into pop. They have done raggae, jazz and even house music. It also doesn't hurt that they sing in different languages. Just this year they had Break Out in Japan which people consider techno. Most kpop groups hope to last as long as them.

hahaha, of course of course. all i said was that the rnb music that they were best known for, could not compete with the evolving styles of music today. sure they can change genre, but then it wouldnt be the primarily rnb based group that everyone knows. they do a little bit of everything, but what they are popular for is their ballads and slow rnb, and they might have a hard time adjusting to "techno" or house.

Actually they aren't best known for rnb. You would be surprised how many people don't know that they sing this kind of music. Actually most of their new fans get confused because they don't know exactly what genre they fit in. Also it is easy to say that they wouldn't survive now that they are hiatus but there is no way of knowing for sure. They were singing acapella when it wasn't cool and they managed to survive. So who knows?

Some of the members of DBSK filled a lawsuit against SM because their earnings weren't being distribute fairly and that their 13 year contract was too long. SM is a very popular music company that has some of the best singers. But the company has some issues because they overwork their singers till they get tired, and punishes them if they make mistakes.
