Definitely my mistake saying this is the first HTC Android phone with a keyboard. I was thinking it was their first "superphone" with a keyboard, then decided that sounded lame, and I ended up with the silly statement you hear in the video. Oh well, still a nice phone :-)

The only thing I don't like about it, or maybe I just noticed it, but the screen doesn't go into "landscape" (sideways) mode unless you flip up the screen. That can be really annoying. Maybe that can be just an upgrade kinda thing that Android can handle?

Anyone know any info on this?

@AndyBonHelsing1 These statements were suggestions only, consider that the new qualcomm chip slimmed down to 45 nm with the new adreno 205 chip ( equivalent to iphone 4 powervr sgx 535 ) will be optimal to suit for gingerbread.

Look old phones like the Mytouch or G1 could handle 2.1 so why this phone should not ?

@vintoe absolutely not. HTC have made many phones with hardware qwerty keyboards. Early example would be the HTC Blueangel (2004) and more modern versions would be Touch Pro ('08) and Touch Pro 2 ('09).

In the video, he says it is the "first qwerty slider phone for Android." This is, as you pointed out, also wrong.

The HTC Dream, by some known as "T-mobile G1", was the first *Android* qwerty slider phone from HTC. Just not the first qwerty slider.

Also i hate that the gms phones get built so well and CDMA phone are built so cheap. i love Verizon service but there phone are shit always plastic.
