  • @1997FordProbeGT no, fires have happened and do happen in 3.2L and 3.5L versions of the LH's. You might "see" it more in 2.7L's because there are so many or it's just coincidence. It's more like an electrical thing, fire from the fuse block is probably the case. The same thing has happened to at least 200 300's, Chargers, Magnums HEMI's too for the newer LX Platform. In those cases it's electrical as well. Chrysler never learns or cares.

  • @1997FordProbeGT has nothing to do with the "2.7L", it's an electrical issue and it's happened to 3.2's and 3.5's. A blown engine isn't typically going to burn the vehicle down, the engine just throws a rod or piston or something, starts knocking then shuts down, might start burning oil out the tailpipe like hell but typically won't cause the vehicle to burst into flames. Overheated engines even rarely catch a vehicle on fire, it's good ol' Chrysler electrical! It's like Russian Roulette!

  • these are lemons :p unreliable. they should be used at camp fires for roasting marshmallows! f. u. dodge chrysler jeep!

  • @Gil8199 Yep they're garbage. Owning a Chrysler is like playing Russian Roulette, it's the best way I can describe it. Some get lucky, some don't and it isn't worth the risk. I see these things and even practically new Chryslers broken down with the hoods popped all the time on the side of the road. I've seen more newer and even low mileage vehicles from Chrysler hit the JY than any other automaker. Total garbage!

  • An update, because of this POS Chrysler vehicle the driver may face Manslaughter charges because one of the passengers died!

Can you believe that shit! It wasn't his fault it caught fire on the freeway and brakes went out! CHP is saying he took too long to pull over!

Chrysler vehicles can KILL "and" land you in JAIL. I had a consumer contact me who's Dodge RAM's Rear Axle sheared off causing them to lose control and wreck where they were trying to file manslaughter charges on him too!

  • we should have never saved Chrysler in the 1st place.

I am glad we saved GM and IDC if you agree with me or not.

  • @TJC450 I completely agree that we should have never saved Chrysler. Since 1998 is NOT an American company, it was owned by the Germans who got misled and screwed. Then it was "privately" owned by an Investment firm that ran and dumped it, now given away to FIAT a foreign company.

GM really is a completely different story and could be salvaged once brought to proper size. GM is also still an "American" company and not privately owned.

  • @dodgechryslersucks

Absolutely! The same guy who is applying around did some sort of hybrid vehicle competition with GM. Apparently they told everyone that GM is coming out of bankruptcy this summer and their loans will all be paid back. In that case, GM was worth it. Meanwhile, Chrysler canned the Viper. That is a tell-tale sign that they are finished.

  • I still stand by my belief in Chrysler Corporation products..."Made that mistake once, NEVER AGAIN!" My buddy had a 95 Intrepid that was the second most unreliable POS he ever owned. The Intrepid was replaced with a 2002 Stratus, which was the number one most unreliable POS he ever owned. He now has a 2004 Focus, which runs flawlessly!

  • @blue06lt I would like to buy a Focus as a first car.l I hear they start having issues around 130,000 miles is this true?

  • @TJC450 Ford has really gotten their stuff together and is making some of the best, most reliable vehicles they have ever made. I have seen a few Focuses make it to the 200k mark with a transmission change. The first gen ones had a bunch of issues, but Ford seems to have gotten the kinks out and they are a pretty solid little car now.

  • @blue06lt Absolutely, completely agree that Ford has really gotten their act together and is making some of the best, most reliable vehicles they've ever made. Although GM has stepped things up, Ford has set the bar pretty damn high for safety and reliability. They have also spent billions in integrating Volvo safety technology in almost every one of their vehicles. Ford now makes a Mustang V6 with 305HP and 35MPG, that's impressive. The V8 has 411HP! The Twin Turbo SHO kicks ass too!

  • @dodgechryslersucks

It says 31MPG on their website.

Still, GM is impressive lately and Ford even more so. I love that new v6 stang and am looking at possibly getting one. It actually is kind of funny. One of my friends just graduated as a mechanical engineer and is applying to a lot of auto companies including GM and Ford. I asked him about Chrysler and he said its not worth it and that they are on their way out. I don't think anyone would want to join that pack of morons anyway.

  • @CorvetteRacingFan yeah you're right, I meant to say 31MPG, but it's still really damn impressive 305HP with up to 31MPG. I mean there are engines with far less HP that guzzle lots more gas. Sounds like you and your friend definitely know what you're talkin' about! You guys know what's up!

  • POS DESERVED THAT

  • poop cars, crush em all and make chinese toothpaste out of them

  • what was the cause, I have a guess, the idiot driving had his seet to far down to see where the hell he was going. tale tale clues at 1:51 the frame is at the fully lowered point. Tipical dodge to burst into flames.

  • @Motorfordtoyota yeah it's pretty typical, the cause was likely from the engine fire that caused the brake fluid to leak, probably melted the plastic reservior, an o-ring, brake line or something then caused loss of brakes. Combine that with the garbage prone to fail steering these things have that can cause them to be difficult to control and that's a prescription for disaster!

  • @Motorfordtoyota It could have been that seat was broken to.

  • @Motorfordtoyota the seat may have collapsed backward from the impact, these POS also have an issue with seats that collapse backward even in low speed impacts. People's infants in child seats sitting in the rear have been killed when this happens from contact with front seat adult occupants head's making contact.

  • @Motorfordtoyota yeah and is that the only support for the back part of the seat holy shit

  • @TJC450 Yeah, the seats and seat mechanisms especially with Chrysler's are extremely flimsy and known to collapse backward.

In one lawsuit where a baby was killed from a low speed rear impact that caused the seat to collapse backward experts said the reclining mechanism was probably about as strong as a yard chair. I have a video on my channel about Dodge / Chrysler Seatback collapses and demonstration from a Dodge Caravan. Lots of infants have been killed when parents seats crush them.

  • @dodgechryslersucks Oh wow. I bet you my living room sofa has more support than that seat. I've seen a Scion that caught on fire with more support in the back part of the seat than that thing. /watch?v=U66HCJNPnVM At 0:54 you can see the support for those seats and how much more support it has than just a bar like on that POS.

  • @TJC450 cause scion is made by Toyota, a real car company, not one that is cheap n doesnt care bout safety like Chrysler

  • I was tryping the damn description while it was uploading, it had uploaded before I could finish the description.

  • Smelled a b?

  • you never finished the description.

    and what a POS
