Yep, it is odd, but this is a very reliable means to show proper balance. As stated on video, the FAA now requires single engine for hire flights to do a weight and balance and have on file for the duration of the flight. We still use this system as a double check. Just last season one was loaded under gross weight and was shown that it was within weight and balance, but this checked showed that it was not. The Cessna 206 is an amazing and reliable aircraft. Yes, a very fun trip!
That weight and balance method seems a bit suspect. Ha! I hope it continues to be a sound method for you and your customers. Looks like a fun trip.
