I remember when I was 3-5, I was playing and dialed 999 (UK emergency services) because our phone wasn't supposed to have been hooked up yet. Got the fright of my life when I heard a voice on the other end! Passed it over to my mum because I didn't know what to say :p

I don't think it's that amazing that she remembered. Children are very receptive and of course if they are told to call 911 in emergencies they will do so. What I do find impressive is how calm she was able to remain, the amount of detail she relayed to the operator and acting appropriately according to the situation. I would likely have failed at least on calmness when I was twice and even three times her age.

And especially because that girl was already calm. The operator is supposed to sound calm so she won't distress the caller and make her start panicking.
