...Is that an -orange belt at 2:55 onwards? Seriously? Our Orange is only 4th kyu (White being 6th), I.E, the second coloured belt you get. And they put him against four attackers..? Poor kid. Good video though. I especially like the collection used by the second tori - think the sensei called him Andy? The one against an attack from behind, which he follows up with shomenate or ai-gamae ate. Very nice. A great gaku-gamae at about 1:15-20 against the black chap, too.
Not really MULTIPLE attack. There were plenty of chances to punch you whilst you were dealing with other opponents. More like "wait my turn" attacks. Unrealistic
Can anyone tell me if they know of a japaneese sensei teaching in london, their name and where about his dojo? much appreciated, thanks

@Superapplefrog Better than most methods in training for multiple attackers. At least it is somewhat alive!

Looking at your clips I think you would find it hard to get four attackers on you mat :)

HAHAHA, No joke. 3 is plenty hard.

Aikido is not about hardness is it?

I wish you would have told my teachers that!!

Aikido can be both hard and soft and sometimes both :)
Are you saying your teacher is too hard or too soft?
londonaikido 4 years ago
I'm saying that I remember lots of "hard" times on the mat. I'm using hard to mean difficult.
