  • If you teach bjj, what belt do you hold.

  • @MorganWAppleby try to remember that your pivoting is all around your center. If you are moving is a circle remember that the axis is the very center of your body. Also keeping your back straight is important. Hope this helps

  • when can i found basics technics please

  • @MsBizben

REFER HIS VIDS ONLY HE IS A GREAT TEACHER !!

  • I just want to know, what's the diffrence between Tenkan and Tai Sabaki ?

  • @simpleabd Tenkan is the principle of mastering the circular movement (in order to blend). This does not mean to dodge, btw.

TaiSabaki means the movement of the body, which can also be irimi.

  • @HomunculusProject Thank you.

  • Thankyou. Osu!

  • i just hate seeing ppl work for expert village they give away everything for free because the advertisements pay them, but i shouldnt have been so rude about the hami thing

  • Keep the videos coming! excellent work Gary Sensei

  • too bad if you where in the correct hami(foot stance) with your parter you would be doing tenkan correct! idiot. your teaching it wrong its left to left right to right aikido comes from the sword practice.you could do a tenkan anyway you want as long as tenkan stays ura but aikido need to stay w the hami too

  • @Magicmansrq I just looked this up for the first time. I was surfing and found this, but I saw another video doing what you said "left to left right to right". The metaphor

the guy described it as was moving aside and resolving a conflict. That's what it looked like, but this looks for like swing dancing.lol j/k but is it ever done like this? Like I said though, just a surfer trying to learn something new. (never tried martial arts.More of a dancing yoga chick, but always interested.)

  • @katyshalo you can do it the othe way but its called ai hami or something umm yoshimitsu yamada has some good teachings on aikido for belt tests he goes through alot of the movements well

  • Yeah, unfortunately too many aikodo sensei arent into the practical, almost all of Take Sensei's(Steven Seagal) stuff is the closest thing too combative aikido, including Sensei Calderon,Reynosa,Matsuoka,Pena,etc..check out Antonio Pena's Kisei Aikido for more combat oriented stuff, and I love Take Senseis under Steven Seagal Documentario and Steven Seagal Merv Griffin.I teach many of these techniques to my own students along with BJJ

  • This is a basic move however it has one thing that only advanced teachers know. How he mentioned about putting up his other arm to protect against a possible attack to the side of the face and or head. I learned that move from Sensei Seagal. He uses it all the time and it's one of the basics he learned in Japan. Not all teachers know or even teach that technique. This aikido teacher really know what he is talking about and he has good hara.

  • Yeah, FUCK EM ALL!!!!

  • I like this, a lot of Aikido on you tube seems impractical, and the instructors seem.. too theoretical or artsy. This guy has a practical way of moving, seems down to earth and patient.

  • Amazing teacher. I wish my instructor is this articulate. T_T

  • @lycian16 I agree. Gary Boaz is the best. The best I tellz ya!
