  • Grenadiers are soo bad ass. Too bad it's much different in modern warfare today. Back in the 1700s grenadiers have to be huge and can chuck bomb really far. They even wear those big hats to make them look more aggressive. For Brits it's those puffy hats, for the French and Prussians, their hats are more cone like. Some think they're funny looking but it's really more of tradition.

  • love it. great. great britain

  • better than tv view well done!!

  • Superb ! What a brilliant position to film this video . Thankyou .

  • I do not care what people say, but I like the Left Form.

  • wow,,,,its impressive

  • that guy coming in at 1:05 seems to be pretty tall

  • Having taken part in a parade like this during National Service....I know exactly what preparations and rehearsals are required to perfect the drill:

The music at the beginning is the ....St Patrick's Day March:

    Ex: 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards

    QUIS SEPARABIT

  • God save the Queen!

  • What tune are they playing at the beginning?

  • @angrywinds St Patrick's Day

  • makes me so proud to be English to the blood

  • 1:05 - The music that announces the arrival of any British forces anywhere, and also announces that a world of hurt is about to come crashing into you.

  • SO happy we New Zealanders' march like the British bugger doing the goose step I'll split my pants ha ha

  • Ha 0:02! Don't tell me you wouldn't be scared shitless if you saw THAT marching towards you collectively wanting to know why you were messing at it!

  • Don't tell me you wouldn't be scared shitless if you saw THAT marching straight towards you wanting to mess you up!

  • Did I actually just see them do a turn *during* a form to move the formation forward a few paces and then resume the form?

    Amazing.

  • Yes you did and it is amazing to watch it over and over and still marvel at how well they execute this!

  • Magnificent Royal Tradition !!! Hail Britannia !!!

  • great coverage!

  • Should get these fine fellows marching past the Finsbury mosque.

  • Haha this comment made my night LOL!

  • @transonicbuoy1 That'd be a great way to respond to any mosques seeking to blast their call to prayers on loudspeaker into the suburbs of any Western country! 5 times a day as a response to their call, redcoats come marching down the street with SA80's, music and NCO's barking orders just for lols.

  • @transonicbuoy1

    Islam isisnt a nationality.

  • my son was in No 7 guard, 'F' coy Scots guards, i was sat in front of the chelsea pensioners, just to the left of where this vid was taken, all of the lads in the guards should be extreamly proud of themselves, for people that dont know ,these lads have put in hours upon hours of rehersals, kit inspections etc as well as having to carry out guard duties at all the royal palaces and castles. It makes you proud to be a Brit.

  • You should be very proud of your son. F Coy always seems to shine in these things, and I've been watching from across the Pond since 2005 and listening on radio before that.

  • @trupnk I was on parade too and yes I'm proud to see where the empire coming from to where it is heading. I'm in the Household Cavalry Lifeguard.

  • makes me proud to be british

  • Great video, just makes you realise how difficult this stuff can be and how much discipline/practice it takes to pull it off. Which is why the British Army, despite budget constraints and all the rest, is still amongst the best in the World.

  • Amazing! Well done windsorsoldiers!

  • @ 1:40

What causes the NCO to march ahead?

  • He appears to give some advice to one of his guardsmen and then fall back into his proper position. If you look closely, he inclines his head slightly to the left as he shouts at him.

  • looks like he felt the urge to shout at someone to me!

  • Ha ha, even rollickings are done in step!

  • Hmm, the line either seems to be snaking in the middle, or some of the arm swings seem to be going out of sync, difficult to see.
