@GreenDay1981 Arrested and convicted are two different things. Maybe you don't understand how the legal system works. Besides, paying players and guys being arrested are two different things. being arrested for gun charges doesn't help you bring in star recruits. They want cash, something Calipari has been able to provide since his days at UMASS. And for the record, we have a major problem shooting this year. I'm not gonna deny that. But, congrats to you for FINALLY sweeping us lol!

Brings me back to the years we did it in 2008, 2007, 2004, 2003, and so on. How many times has SC swept Kentucky? That would be once back in 1997. That's it.

@GreenDay1981 Nope. Do a little better research. You forgot about the sweep in 08-09. Yes, in Mr. Horne's first year. We won in Rupp and dominated you in Columbia. As far as the scholarship players, what the hell are you talking about? Of course we have guys on scholarship. Having guys on scholarship and paying them cash on the side are two completely different things. Like I said, it's unreal that Kentucky is so desperate for relevance that they would hire a corrupt coach. Sad really.

@GreenDay1981 I'll admit I'm wrong. We don't have anyone who can shoot consistently. You don't have that, you have a hard time winning. We suck. As far as your players being paid, talk to me again in three years. How are you recruiting the top class every year?? Both of us know why. As far as Kentucky being relevant, yeah, your history is great. Bottom line is you haven't won anything since Pitino left. Tubby was a flop and so was Gillespie. You haven't been relevant since 1998.

@bull864 I guess Coach K is paying his players? He draws a lot of good recruits. Explain that. Tubby was a flop, huh? That's funny considering he won the NCAA Championship in his first year with UK, had 3 other Elite 8 appearances, and won the SEC Tournament 5 times. Yeah, he was a real flop. His record at Kentucky was 263-83. Let's see Darrin Horn do better than that. Gillespie was a flop. I'll give you that. You say we haven't been relevant since 1998? Better than NEVER being relevant.

@GreenDay1981 I don't like Coach K, but he can actually coach. Most of his top players are white. He gets the white McDonalds all-americans. Plus, he has won National Titles, something Calipari hasn't done. Tubby's success in his first year belongs to Pitino, you and I both know that. If he wasn't a flop, why did Kentucky run him off? There are a handful if big name basketball schools. UNC, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA, and one or two more. Kentucky isn't keeping up with them.

@bull864 Tubby Smith wasn't let go because of a lack of success. He was let go because he wasn't recruiting very well. Oh, so Pitino was still the coach in 1998? Here I thought 1997 was his last year with Kentucky. You act like it was so easy for Tubby to win the National Championship that year. You know they had to get past Duke to get there? Don't talk like any coach would have won it all with that team. Kentucky isn't keeping up with themselves?? Yeah that makes sense.

I don't remember all of them but you had a ton of NBA players recruited by Pitino. And yes, any coach would have won the NC with that team. Even though Tubby sucked, at least he was honest and not a crook. Kentucky isn't keeping up with their NAME. The name Kentucky means a great deal, but their cheating ways is ruining it. @bull864 If we had a ton of NBA players recruited by Pitino, why didn't they jump when Pitino left? I do look back at that team often. Let me ask you this. How long did the players on that roster last in the NBA? Are any of them even still playing in the NBA? Kentucky had NBA talent last season. Did they win the NC? No. You sound jealous. You probably enjoyed those 2 miserable years with Gillispie and are bitter than Calipari has gotten the school back on track.

@GreenDay1981 Why didn't they jump? Probably because they liked Tubby. I'm not saying Tubby isn't a nice guy, but he wasn't a great coach. You are right, only one of those guys is still playing in the NBA, but several played in the NBA and they had the white guard who was a great senior leader (I can't remember his name). That was a very good team who was seasoned when Tubby arrived. UK didn't win last year because you can't win the NC with a bunch of freshman as your leaders.

I bring up an example that shoots that theory down and suddenly you say there are exceptions and you make more excuses. You hate Calipari. We get it. Can you put your hatred of him aside so you can actually make valid points? You are fighting a losing battle. Syracuse's top 4 scorers consisted of 2 freshmen, 1 sophomore, and 1 senior. Kentucky had a leader who was an upperclassman: Patrick Patterson.

And frankly, the odds of ANY coach doing it are very slim, I don't care how talented the freshman class is. Kentucky had a ton of talented freshman last year and couldn't do it. Hell, they couldn't make the final four! Even when Syracuse won it all, they weren't as young as Kentucky was last year and will be with Calipari. All he does is recruit one-and-done players!

@bridaco Yeah, I watched most of it but after the BS calls that Downey was getting it almost seemed comical. I'm glad UK burned you in Ky for payback. Downey cant do shit when the refs arent ther to bail him out. Yeah, UK has 2 losses, I love it. Been a great season. Hows USC's future looking? I see they lost again tonight...what a surprise, is that 6 or 7 STRAIGHT losses? I lost count after 5. I dont even know if USC will make the NIT...how hilarious is that?? Last nite was my 1st time seeing Devan Downey play, my Mom was fighting cancer this past yr. so I didn't get to get as involved w/ college b-ball like I usually do. Kid has skillz- I'll say it right now- end of the season he'll be player of the yr! Some people would say I like him b/c we share the same 1st name though he spells it Devan, while I spell it Devin but that's not it I watched that S.C. vs. K.Y. game last night- he's phenomenal! Way he carried his team against a #1 ranked school -WOW!
