I love how the anti seal people lie and lie and lie in order to push their agenda. The still photos are a nice touch in that the highlight the "cruelty" of a one hit kill. showing the blood on the ice also adds a wonderfully dramatic touch that helps to show the "cruelty" because we all know that blood makes striking contrast against white snow. 6 million seals. 1.4 million pups born each year. 300000 seals culled from the herd in the hunt. humanely and quickly. nuff said.

As far as staying out of Canada's business is concerned, the main thing HSUS tries to get Americans to do is to stop buying Canadian seafood. The 3 step process for seals under one year

1) clubbed on the head until the seal is dead or irrevocably unconcious

2) check by palpating the skull..if both side are not crushed, the seal must be hit until they are both crushed

3) bled..both axilliary arteries are cut and the seal allowed to bleed out for one minute before skinning

I wish she would show evidence of hunters NOT following the process.

Older seals must be shot because their skulls are thicker.

They use those clubs because thats the only way to kill them without damaging the pelt. A bullet/harpoon would cause abrasions in the wrong areas and ruin it.. So thats why they use clubs.

Actually Europe has yet to ban seal products. EU ambassador came on TV and declared Europe supports Sealing. He also stated any ban would only pertain to a minority of seal products. Europe is not even the largest purchaser of Seal products. A region who is not even a large importer MAY ban a small portion of seal imports. In regards to tourism nice to see tourism has been increasing every year in the last 5 years or so. People know about hunt, just dont care enough to do anything about it.

The cod reproductive system is very sensitive to oil pollution. Dissected cod show higher than normal petrochemicals. Seals aren't killing Newfoundland's fish, some people think it's the Hibernia oil drilling, but we aren't allowed near enough to measure if there are leaks in Hibernia drilling systems

ok lets do a little experience....take some oil...put it in a botle of water and try to mix them.....as you will see, oil is just liter than water, so oil alway move on the top of the *** water..cod lives in deap water.How can they eat something that contain this oil??? why the little something they eat would eat this floating oil or get in contact with it( actualy, capelin and shrimp never tried to jump out of the water...)
