The Lion King was made during a much more innocent time, when kids were allowed to believe lions could have manes that were such deep red, that warthogs could really have such huge mouths, and that meerkats really did speak with New York accents. Nowadays, if a kid watched this, they'd be creeped out by how easily Timon and Pumbaa had been able to get Simba, a prince & true king, to just let go of his past life & all the lessons his father had taught him. But us? Who cares? Hakuna Matata.
