i was thinking the same damn thing ! i remember telling my older sister THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE ! ( unlike these days where if see something surprising i say "this is bullshit" may god ( mine is Allah ) bless the days when we didnt know the bad words ) anyway, this is bullshit !!!
I think they were trying to true to real life events with this. She actually married a him in real life. But that doesn't mean shit. This sequel (Like many other Disney sequels) does not exist. So this relationship never happened.
Hahaha in reality John Smith was a major asshole; Disney magic makes even the most contemptible men appear attractive. Although I can agree that Pocahontas 2 was a joke of a sequel.
i don't think that it was just pocahontas's fault that she broke up with smith in the first movie he was arrogant but when he met her he changed and they were a great couple but in the second movie he ends up to be arrrogant again but i guess i don't care cause the second movie it just doesn't exist for me pocahonta+john smith for ever and ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i know you prefer the disney version of this story but the real story was nothing like this and in real life she ends up with john rolf and they have a son then she tragicly dies on a voyage back to england of TB... So do i prefer john smith of course i do Mel gibson played his voice who wouldnt like him but then again Billy zane played john rolf another fave of mine i do prefer the first becasue of the animation being better.
lol great video i totaly agree with you john smith was way better this video made me laugh one cause it was funny how you talked to pocahontas and two because i 100% agree with with you very nicely done on the video
This film was just as historically innacurate as the first one Pocahontas did travel to England but she was already married to John Rolfe and had already given birth to their child Thomas. Also she went by the name Rebecca and she stayed in England till she died. So if it was historically inaccurate what was the point of this movie?!?!
whats funny to me is that, everyones pissed that she ended up with another guy but isnt that how life is? Not every love story has a happy ending. as a kid I did hate watching it but my dad had warned me that the whole story was accurate to the real Johns Smiths story of what happened, but I guess that didnt happen either. Pocahontas was a little girl when they showed up.and that romance never happened. oh well.at least I can pretend it all went down like the 1st film, but even that is still sad
who else found the second movie total hogwash? They have the first one then stupid Rolfe comes along and they make John Smith a jerk! Who did the second movie? Did someone think Mel Gibson was a jerk so they made John Smith one too?
It always is John Smith's mistake.. he never wanted pocahontas and he never loved her.. that's what i felt. Like why he never told pocahontas that he's alive.. and why he never told her not to leave him.. he didnt even care about her..
I dont understand why you're so "disapointed" bc she dindn't ended up with Smith.
1.Smith never ever told to Pocahontas "I love you"
2.He just changed. He never tryed to get back to her, after he got well.He had other plans than Pocahontas.
3.Rolfe is the perfect man for Pocahontas even if in the past, Jonh was. Times and persons change. John doesn't even tryed to say something like: "NO!DON'T LEAVE ME!" when Pocahontas told him that he's doesn't love him anymore. Very nice, huh?! soo fake ....
@PetraClick She's disappointed (and I hope she forgives me for speaking for her) because John Smith and Pocahontas had a beautiful, classic Disney love. They were the original movie, and the second movie was completely unlike everything Disney stands for. For the first time, a Disney 'Prince/Princess' couple was broken up. It was a complete derailment of characters as well. And you should listen to 'If I never knew you' if you don't believe Smith loved Pocahontas and expressed it.
@PetraClick I agree that people change, there is no doubt about that but I guess it's different for us because Pocahontas and John's relationship symbolized a lot. I mean if Prince Eric and Ariel got a divorce wouldn't you be sad? Maybe not but that's how we feel.
@PetraClick Oh My gosh Youre so right!!! John Rolfe gave up his dream job to be with Pocahontas. All Smith cared about was himself!! And honestly, I liked how sweet Rolfe was to her. He never thought of her and her people as savages, unlike Smith.
@ClumsySmurf29 If they had accuracy, it wouldn't be a good story since Pocahontas and John were not happy in their marriage. She was thirteen and John was a middle aged man.
I'm just gonna try to live my life pretending the second one never existed -_-' That crap ruined everything to me, I literally cried when I was a little kid when Rolfe and Pocahontas got together. ARE YOU HAPPY DISNEY, YOU MADE A LITTLE CHILD CRY! And I'm damn sure lots of others too. WHY?! JUST, WHY?!
@xColferWeasleyPelsX If Disney is reading any of this, I second that! Boy, if you see how messed up I was after my mom got me that video, you woud understand my issues with sequels to classics. I mean if you are going to do one, don't have a flirt like Rolfe get in the way of a the MEMORABLE COUPLE. I mean when I told my friends that Pocahontas ends up with another guy in the sequel, they flipped too!
IF they wanted to make this "historically accurate" they would have made Pocohontas 13, have only a PLATONIC relationship with John Smith, make him go off to the New World, meet John Rolfe marry him and eventually die.
Don't see any of that in a disney movie do you?
So if they're going to milk it, PUT POCAHONTAS WITH JOHN SMITH GOSH!
I used to like Pocahontas but when she did this now i just she her as the "backstabbing two-timing cheater". If it was never historically accurate in the first place why make it be.
You know what's historically accurate? The fact that there's absolutely no good ending to this movie! John Smith doesn't get the girl. Pocahontas still dies and her tribe becomes extinct.
@RidiculouslyLuis but she does go to England, then dies. John smith was more of a father to her in reality, he was like 40 and she was 14 or something.
Nice vid btw NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
She only married John Rulf to keep peace between Native Americans and Euproeans. She never loved him in real life. In fact, the Europeans broke their promise of peace and now the Powhatan Indians are extinct. Pocahontas sacrificed her happiness, her LIFE. That's why there's no true happy ending for her. But what she did will ALWAYS live on in our hearts and minds.
I don't know if they just tried to make it more relevant to the actual history or what, but even if they were, THE STORY WAS ALREADY HISTORICALLY INCORRECT WHY DID THEY DO THIS?
actually in real life she never really met John. But she did meet that guy in the movie, but yes i agree i prefer the first one ever if thats not the real story.
In the legend Pochahontas is around twelve I think when she meets John smith, and she never fell in love with him but they were great friends (since she was a child and he an audult), and when she got older she met John Rolf and they married. That's what I read at least. But I agree, I also got a bit shocked when she just left him in the movie. But that's life.
I love how there's happy inspirational music in the background while you're talking about how Pocahontas II broke your childhood, LOL. The irony...XD Frankly, just because a guy fights for you, doesn't mean that you HAVE to love him. You don't owe people your heart...it's not a muscle you can control...You'll love who you love.
all that development sacrificed just for historical accuracy...-_- I mean, If they wanted to be so acurate they would have made pochahontas 12 too!!!-_-
This video perfectly describes how I feel about Pocahontas 2. Pocahontas was always my favorite and I was always mad when she wasn't counted as a Disney Princess. But ever since she cheated on John S for John R, all I can think of her is "traitorous, two-timing bitch!"
I agree with you! I hated when she chose Jhon Rolf, and what makes me disappointed is that Pocahontas is my favorite disney movie, and end up that way! The love that I find most beautiful of all Disney films, where unlike other movies that had a happy ending, this was not so lucky, and she ends up with the crap of Jhon Rolf, I was very sad about it! I really enjoyed the video thanks! (:
I assure you she's not 12 in the Disney movie ;) I don't think we ever learn what her age is, but we know she's at least of marriage age, since her father wanted her to marry Kocoum. I never saw the second movie and I NEVER plan to. So in my mind, this NEVER happened :D
HAHAHA LOL IF I COULD I WOULD LIKE THIS VID A MILLION TIMES!!! POCAHONTAS JUST LOOKS LIKE A PLAYER TO ME IN THE 2ND MOVIE... THUMBS UP IF YOU THINK SO TOO!!!
lol i love how you make it seem that it was all her fault. John Smith treated her like a complete stranger, and at times, complete asscrap. She's a smart, strong woman and it shows that she won't put up with it. John of all people should know she's not the type to take bullshit.
the reason disney did this was to stay true to reality. I dont know much about her story but ive been told pochahontas was a real women and the storys are based on her life but in her real life she left john smith to go with john rolfe
In making the second movie the way they did, they made the first movie pointless. I: I mean all that forbidden love, sacrifice for each other, The significance of the arrow, the legend ended up being nothing pretty much when the second was made. 'Least that's how I see it... and it break my heart because I watched the first movie yesterday and was reminded the whole time!
AND BY THE WAY WHY DID DISNEY FOLLOW HISTORY ANYWAYS WHEN THEY DIDNT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE REAL HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME!? EVERYONE FUCKING DIES I LIKE THE DISNEY-FIED VERSION BETTER DELETE THIS SHITTY SECOND POCAHONTAS!!!
DISNEY YOU HAVE DISAPPOINTED ME! CANT YOU SEE JOHN SMITH AND POCAHONTAS LOVE WAS PURE AND TRUE?! WHY WOULD YOU RUIN ME!? I HAVE NIGHTMARES NOW! THANKS OH SO FUCKIN MUCH FOR MAKING LOVE STUPID NOW!
I've never watched Pocahontas II - and I wont do that! It just doesnt exist for me! I want to die knowing that Pocahontas choosen John Smith and he was always in her heart just as she was in his heart. Their love was just too great to vanish. The true story I believe is that John Smith returned to America and they both lived long and happily united with forests and nature and cute animals, and they had lots of kids! This is how it should have ended! *nod nod* :) Stupid Disney!
the second movie ruined the first... i think that's because they miss the must important point from the legend... anyway this is one of the most big wrongs made by disney.
one Disney guy wanted the typical love story then another wanted the movie to be an accurate historic movie n this movie was the outcome. pocahontas was actually 10 when Smith first met her. check out pocahontas.morenus.org it tells the true story of pocahontas n show comparisons between the movie n the real life events. i was surprised at the many true life facts the actually hav in the movie, but unless you know ur history it does throw u for a loop in the second movie
but when she saved John Smiths life, she was only young. She wasnt as old as they potray her in the film. Well, thats what I read anyways, not sure if its true xD haha
i loved the first movie ever since i was one. i've only seen the second movie once and it made me so mad. it made no sense and everyone was so out of charater it was ridiculous! what a waste of time and money.
this was exactly what i was thinking! precisely, word for word! well, not really, but pretty close! john smith is so much better anyway. more confident, more daredevil, more manly, more cute... need i go on?
lol this is too funny and dramatic

In the legend Pochahontas is around twelve I think when she meets John smith, and she never fell in love with him but they were great friends (since she was a child and he an audult), and when she got older she met John Rolf and they married. That's what I read at least. But I agree, I also got a bit shocked when she just left him in the movie. But that's life.

She didn't say she'd love him forever, she said "I'll always be with you".... BIG DIFFERENCE!

I was so glad that Mel Gibson didn't sell out and do the second movie. His brother did the second movie instead.

You broke my childhood. I think that one lines summarizes everything. I'm just going to pretend the second movie never exsisted.

well I prefer John Smith too but they kinda had to go with history....

All that development sacrificed for "historical accuracy"???? If they really wanted to be historically acurate they would have made her 12 too!!! -_-

all that development sacrificed just for historical accuracy...-_- I mean, If they wanted to be so acurate they would have made pochahontas 12 too!!!-_-

This video perfectly describes how I feel about Pocahontas 2. Pocahontas was always my favorite and I was always mad when she wasn't counted as a Disney Princess. But ever since she cheated on John S for John R, all I can think of her is "traitorous, two-timing bitch!"
John Smith and Pocahontas forever!!!

What tends to happen when disney tries to be historically accurate!
kmasucci 2 months ago 17
I agree with you! I hated when she chose Jhon Rolf, and what makes me disappointed is that Pocahontas is my favorite disney movie, and end up that way! The love that I find most beautiful of all Disney films, where unlike other movies that had a happy ending, this was not so lucky, and she ends up with the crap of Jhon Rolf, I was very sad about it! I really enjoyed the video thanks! (:

Thanks... Like the vid says... Pocahontas II breaks your childhood... (:

I think she's a bit too mature looking to be 12...
MissJelorox00 2 months ago
@MissJelorox00
I assure you she's not 12 in the Disney movie ;) I don't think we ever learn what her age is, but we know she's at least of marriage age, since her father wanted her to marry Kocoum. I never saw the second movie and I NEVER plan to. So in my mind, this NEVER happened :D

stupid "successors" of Disney being historically accurate
rockshalunesta 3 months ago 4

LOL "You broke my childhood", so true
sexyasschocolatebabe 3 months ago
lol i love how you make it seem that it was all her fault.

EVERYONE FUCKING DIES I LIKE THE DISNEY-FIED VERSION BETTER DELETE THIS SHITTY SECOND POCAHONTAS!!!
lillywilly17 3 months ago
DISNEY YOU HAVE DISAPPOINTED ME! CANT YOU SEE JOHN SMITH AND POCAHONTAS LOVE WAS PURE AND TRUE?! WHY WOULD YOU RUIN ME!? I HAVE NIGHTMARES NOW! THANKS OH SO FUCKIN MUCH FOR MAKING LOVE STUPID NOW!
lillywilly17 3 months ago
I've never watched Pocahontas II - and I wont do that! It just doesnt exist for me! I want to die knowing that Pocahontas choosen John Smith and he was always in her heart just as she was in his heart. Their love was just too great to vanish. The true story I believe is that John Smith returned to America and they both lived long and happily united with forests and nature and cute animals, and they had lots of kids! This is how it should have ended! *nod nod* :) Stupid Disney!

@jaarekparf you are my hero i wanna die knowing she loved smith and he loved her...this movie moved me soooo much and now....its over !!!

the second movie ruined the first... i think that's because they miss the must important point from the legend... anyway this is one of the most big wrongs made by disney.

one Disney guy wanted the typical love story then another wanted the movie to be an accurate historic movie n this movie was the outcome. pocahontas was actually 10 when Smith first met her. check out pocahontas.morenus.org it tells the true story of pocahontas n show comparisons between the movie n the real life events. i was surprised at the many true life facts the actually hav in the movie, but unless you know ur history it does throw u for a loop in the second movie
