  • Fucking awesome. Wish I heard about these guys earlier in me life.

  • More cow bell.

  • thumbs up for lysergic acid diethylamide

  • @leppelinzed This should have a millions fluorescent thumbs up already.

  • 2:37 I can't stop smiling

  • "Love the way you wear your curly hair; sanguine and spiraling, tied in a bun.

Love the way it falls about your face, mercurially gilded by the sun."

One of the most romantic lines, I have ever read, ever!

  • @Sh3llyl0sth3rm1nd that is the best part

  • Stunning on a hundred thousand levels.. Seamlessly blending genres and phases, I feel this song can be listened to a near infinite number of times without the inability to find something new to like about it. Exhibiting a vast array of well-played instruments paired with clear vocal mastery, it has been a favourite of mine for a very long time now, and I still come back for it... something I doubt will ever change. Thank you, brilliant artists, for this aural wonder!

If we were a pair of jigsaw puzzle pieces

    we would connect so perfectly"

Kevin Barnes can give a song so much of a party feel and still have lyrics that wrench your hear and create some wild imagery. I love it so much.

  • It has those Christmas sleigh bells at the beginning.

  • lyricS??

  • @meanderband description box?

  • only 36k views?!?!?! UNACCEPTABLE!

  • Why would you critic people using this as Christmas music, it's their choice, and personally I can see how this has a little cosy sound to it.

  • i thought it was a good christmas eve tune...

  • Excellent voices.

  • I remember listening to this song on LSD at the edge of a forest on top of a huge hill overlooking a massive lake at sunrise.

  • This song makes me childlike....

  • hmm is this song about Nina?

  • @ouranhighbebe

Yup, in a interview with Kevin in 2004 about the album he said "Well, there are some songs on the new record that I wrote for Nina, my wife, that are just love songs. "Your Magic is Working," "Lysergic Bliss," also "Climb the Ladder." "

  • I wonder why this has always reminded me of Christmas.

  • @XreverseXanielmX it's the sleigh bells in the beginning and the pep that later ensues and then the tamborine, actually it's just everything that, every element that adds on to eachother. the jangly guitar. the sweet vocals.

  • 2:32 - 3:26, BEST THING EVER

  • i love this cd

  • This song is awesome...

But I prefer the acoustic version to be honest.

  • wtf, what is wrong with you?

  • come on after 2:43 you know they just repeat blather. BUT when they play this song live its just epic and they dont play that part too long only about 20 seconds which is perfect.

  • But that's the most psychedelic part of this song. And after all, what is of montreal with the psychedelic aspect?

  • i hate when things get really repetitive.

  • @totallynotjonathan Than never listen to psychedelic trance hahaha which is awesome btw

  • @totallynotjonathan I like the bullshit at that part, mister

  • Amazing song to listen to when high

  • Best love song of all time. =D

  • at the beginning it sounds like he is saying moonshine

  • good lord

  • wow dude it doesnt sound like any christmas music i ever heard... i think u just want to bitch... :)

  • Christmas Music? In what tradition. If anything, I'd say it has a little bit of a 1960s pop sound mixed with LSD, served with a sprig of mint. Or something like that. 60s and drugs. No religious holidays. That you just get it is the point.

  • your soo right, couldnt have said it better myself!!

  • @papageno88

Describing music as 'x mixed with drugs' is a terrible analysis of anything.

  • Christmas music? Your parents must have been high as kites at christmas then.

  • hahahahahahahaha

  • @SgtSoprano It kind of has the flavor of White Christmas by the Drifters mixed with Jingle Bell Rock. If you disagree, just blame it on lysergic logic ;)

  • yeah top 1/3 christmas songs. i agree. my favorite part is when he starts singing jingle bells in the middle of the song
