  • I'm not sure if you two know this yet, but at around 1:27 you mentioned that the guy at the ticket booth looks familiar, as if you should know him and you're correct because that's Bang Yong Gook who just came out with his debut song "I Remember" ft B2ST's Yoseob. Btw, you should review "I Remember" because the MV is awesome. He was also featured in Song Jieun's Going Crazy~ Just thought I'd let you know :)

  • Hi, Ellery, U're looking for one of the back up dancers of Kim Hyun Joong, right?^^ I found out his twitter acct >> twitter[dot]com/ATminbro

  • actually in the scene where the wine is spilling if you focus on the hand rather then the glass its him looking at her hand to look at a missing ring i guess? but yeah the first time i watched it i wondered why they were spilling wine too xD

  • From 0:30 to 0:31 Ellery is like "WTF is this my sister?" and then smiles one second later. My internet lagged at this point^^

  • i will call you bacon sisters. lololllllllllllllll

  • @activenon May we ask why?!

  • @kpopwrapup I think i can answer that ^^, because almost everybody loves bacon, soo that names means we all loove you ^^, 사랑해

  • The ticket booth guy is the rapper from Ji Eun Going Crazy. Just in case you guys didn't know, Magic wasn't their debut song; it was "I want You Back." I like Toast!! I think Toast was mean to play both the 2 guy characters. I'll post my answer to the question of the week on your Facebook. ;)

  • they always over work there stars even ther trainee's and it is fact because my cousin is an SM trainee before she was she was the happiess most joyfull person ever, but now that she is a trainee she has got surgery on her throat three times from over work and the company won't let her take a break, it just makes me so mad knowing that she was so hppy when she found out that she was going to be a trainee but now she doesn't want it but she is under contract for 8 years

  • @AlWaYzMyNaRa so you have to sign a contract for being a trainee?

  • @tribeXgirl yes you do ..im not sure if they all do but she does

i'm guessing because she doesn't live with her parents, but i'll will check for you guys :D

  • @AlWaYzMyNaRa ya i would like to know why she had to sign a contract when shes just a trainee still

  • @AlWaYzMyNaRa Wow, that really is something! An 8 year contract?! Does that include not only trainee time but also after her debut? Is she debuting in a group anytime soon?

  • @kpopwrapup No , she will have to sign another one when/if she debuts :/

  • Review request: Skull ft. Spragga Benz - Don't Walk Away.

    It's Reggae by a Korean!

Welcome back, Brynn. The qipao is sexy.

  • ye brave girls totally fail like cheap hooker

but I love sunny hill midnight circus it is so awesome

  • I have been listening to Jpop and Kpop since 2003 and I always get the same negative response from most people; it's a little disheartening. Anyway, thanks for your prompt response and keep up the good work. Are you familiar with eatyourkimchi? If not, you should check them out as they do a kpop video review each week plus videos about Korean culture.

  • I agree, Korean artists work way too hard especially SNSD they only get 1 hour to 3 hours of sleep.. 1. sunny fainted. 2 sooyoung was sick. 3. hyoyeon was sick and they had to get IV treatments i really recommend that SM let these girls rest.

  • ^_^ Brynn is back! That's good, but I thought she's be gone for a longer time, but it's good that she's back! ^_^ I hope she had a good time... =P

  • Welcome back! I wish you two would tape your initial reactions to watching a MV for the first time. I think it would be the BEST!

  • The guy at the ticket both from Secrets MV is Bang Yong Kook he did the rap in Song Ji Eun's solo debut song Going Crazy

  • Couldn't agree with your midnight circus score anymore, keep up the good work :)

  • lol i find it funny when guy call khj a toast hahaha ,yeah he HOT like a toast lol

  • I have noticed the same thing about Kpop industry. They are way over-exposed.

I like to see them maintain their "star quality." I am not 100% sure whether it is the management or artists themselves but the whole thing maybe driven by the networks wanting to take advantage of the idols' explosive popularity, which has a lot to do with their visual effect. In the past, singers just sang. I don't like SME nor JYPE. However, I do think YGE is Ok. Welcome back Brynn! Ellery was great!

  • Great reviews! I totally agree with giving Sunny Hill a 20!! It was totally out of the norm, even gave me goosebumps! And what's even more impressive is that I heard that the members composed and wrote the lyrics for the entire album themselves!! How awesome is that? Also, about the guy not really being shown, I think they did it deliberately, he's not even taking part in the promotions....not sure why.

  • How long have you guys been into k-pop? How did you get into it? Your situation seems to be similar to mine in that I am in the states, love K-pop (and Jpop and Cpop...and anything else that sounds good) and either people don't know what it is or roll their eyes at me when I try to inform them. *Hates that*

  • @DukeMadThane We learned about it early 2009. Embrace the k-pop though! Most of the time people just think it's weird since it's not your everyday boring crap that they listen to but if you slowly introduce it to them, most of the time they end up liking it!

  • @DukeMadThane That is exactly my situation as well lol.

  • I don't even listen to k-pop but I like your vids. And welcome back lovely Brynn!!!

  • Also, I have a request! Could u guys maybe consider putting up a video or even written review of Brynn's thoughts on the mvs reviewed in the last 2 weeks by Ellery? It would be awesome if u did!

  • @nehavohra651 Great idea, I'll try and put it up on our Facebook sometime this week!

  • they're worked WAY too hard!!!

since i'm an ELF, i'm going to use Super Junior for an example.

they pretty much work 24/7 with like...3 hours of sleep?

they get a weeks vacation off out of a full year...

also, so many members have fainted, famished....weak!

    its horrible...

even though they're idols, they're human too!!!!!

    not robots ><

i think their health and showing a healthy way of living and healthy appearance is a way better way to represent an IDOL!

  • @campcawaii16 Yes, we totally agree! We seriously hand it to them though because with only 3 hours of sleep or less they always look wide and wake and full of energy. One thing's for sure, us with 3 hours of sleep days in a row will result in walking zombies that cannot speak properly! Hehe

  • I definitely agree that the male member should have been showed more in the mv *cough*because he is kinda super hot* Like maybe when everyone was preforming on the stage it could show him watching disappointed or something? lol idk.

  • the guy in the video is the secret rapper in that girls solo song going crazy. :D

  • Brynn's getting prettier each episode.

  • @wonsuckchoi

    She's always pretty!!!! ;)

  • And welcome back Brynn!!

  • It seems to be a different story. Rather than have groups or solo artists that debut and sustain their image because of hard work, we have practically anyone (many of them having little to no talent) making lyrically poor songs paired to catchy tunes or beats that a wide (and mainly young) audience will favor. :/

This is definitely not to say that we don't have great American artists. I'm simply saying that for most of today's American pop scene...this is what I believe to be true.

  • @bunnyblue2 Agreed completely! Most of the crap on the radio all sounds the same and has trashy lyrics!

  • I feel like the Korean music industry definitely overworks their artists, but not completely without reason. I think much of the allure K-pop idols have in comparison to the vast majority of American pop artists partially comes from the fact that they work so hard, and in turn have a much more respectable image.

As a K-pop fan, I love cheering on my favorite artists as they continue to work hard to be the best. I respect them because they work hard to achieve their dreams. In the US however...

  • its called the cat daddy for KHJ - Breakdown ... (The Rej3ctz)

  • yeah ellery back, ellery how are you?do you like China?

I miss you soo much, and i love you guys

  • @Tekukirinkatochiku Xiexie! I love China, it is a fabulous place with the nicest people!

  • I mean Ellery. Oops.

  • The guy that Brynn thought seemed familiar was actually "Bang Young Guk", the rapper guy from Song Ji Eun's Going Crazy song. xD

  • But i agree about the money thing. The thing is they cant really make that much money by the music itself because of piracy. Tbh ive been a fan these past few years and ive only bought like...3 cds... and only cause they were on itunes. They need the other stuff to make up for it i suppose : /

  • Well the issues you talk about are more about kpop idols, not necessarily singers. Ballad singers and rappers don't really face those issues =].

  • the companies contract them for two reason's one if they are successful they will be able to milk them and if they are not the companies will be able to get all of their investments back by overworking them in jobs that pay them pennies. as mentioned in your videos these kids too overworked, which is what lead to the break up of DBSK the most popular and biggest boybnad out of kpop according to facts. which anyone can google. its not too long before the kpop industry blows up. love sunny hill.

  • first the ticket boy from secret's video is the rapperfrom ji eun going crazy video and about the question i have to agree with you all on the whole management thing, but the thing it is soo much harder to break into the american industry then it is in the Korean which is why you have so many "kids" running around as idols and so in order for them to have a "job" they need to do a million things or they will turn into yesterday's news.

  • @ak112U Ahh, so that's where he's from, we thought he looked familiar!

  • well with the whole thing with kpop industry me and a friend have not liked how they really treat the artists so we made something called "KPOP ARMY" just to try and do something about it.

  • @tribeXgirl K-pop Army, sounds awesome, we join! :)

  • LOVEEE YOUR VIDEOS <33
