Watching the movie Green Hornet got me interested in Studebaker. Just don't make cars like they used to. I wish I'd have lived in the day when the US had many different automakers. The old Hudson Hornet, Nash, etc. Now we got three and they almost went under. Back when style was king.
@sokodad I agree with you 100%. I could write a book about how I feel about all the car makes that have expired. And all the Nash, Studebaker, Hudson, Packard, Plymouth, Oldsmobile, Mercury, etc., etc., have all contributed to the development and history of automotive engineering. All the cars back then had style, looked different from each other, and had personality. Thanks so much for enjoying this Stude and commenting.
@jonshotpocket Well, this is not mine. I just came across it and taped it. I have seen this Stude several times and I think this is an all original survivor, so the door panels came with the car. Thanks for viewing.
@WriterVamp If you have a digital camera you can download your pics to your computer. Then send me pics to my e-mail address and attach the photos to the e-mail you send. OR, you can take a movie with your digital camera and download it to your YouTube channel and everyone can see it. Good luck. And thanks again for sharing your Studebaker Improvement Project.
Our 64 (last year made in U.S.) Wagonaire (top slides forward = truck) had problems: "armstrong" steering, bad brakes & balky 3-on-the-tree with no O.D. Wife couldn't drive it. Now it has a 5.7 Hemi & 5-sp auto (from an 05 Dodge Truck), 9" Ford Rear (4.11 Detroit Locker), 4-wheel power discs, Heidt's 'Stang II Front w/coil overs & power rack and pinion. Updated interior and old school looking custom guges. Looks stock and is now safe & reliable (wife says its too easy to spin the tires)!
@WriterVamp Obviously you have improved a Studebaker that the builder couldn't provide. Oh my what improvements you made! Many car collectors that drive their old vehicles often update them to be reliable, safe, and easy/fun to drive. You have done a marvelous job and know how to do it. Thanks very much for contributing to this video. I hope it inspires other viewers.
With the Walter Mitty pipedream I'm feeding right now I'd like to take one name from Studebaker (Champion), AMC (Rebel) and Kaiser -Frazer (Carabela) along with some Scout and Crosley models to start my own line of cars.
The company motto would be, "We Do What They Don't And What They Do, We Do Different!"
@55lincoln I still have to do the front, rear and aerial views of all the models as well as the side views of the Rebel/Carabela and Champion wagons (two- and four-door versions!); when they're copywrighted I'll send copies to you!
@OldcarsNmusic I always wished that Hudson, Packard, Nash, and Studebaker had merged. All 4 of these cover each level of product like General Motors. Studebaker and the economy level, Nash the next level, followed by Hudson, and at the top, the luxury car Packard. Only if..........! Studebaker made some very fine products and this last leg Cruiser is no exception. Thanks very much for commenting.
I own a '65 Daytona. The brake lines on my master cylinder face the engine and are super close to the exhaust manifold. What kind (Brand and part#) is your master cylinder? Is it stock?BTW my car does not have power brakes. All that being said, you've got a nice ride!!
@deliveryguyrx I'm sorry friend, I videotape cars. I don't own this Daytona. I can't give you any information that you are seeking. Perhaps contact a Studebaker Club and they can help you. Search for clubs on the internet. Good luck.

Looks pretty good for a car on its last leg. I hope you were refering to the Studebaker company at this time and not this car!

@loufalce I was referring to the Studebaker company. Good point. I need to change the title. Thanks for enjoying this Stude Cruiser.
