@HotYoungPapo First of all this debate is fun because its a only a TV show. I would have to say Spartacus has the edge. Crixus at his ealry phase of training went toe to toe with Gannicus and Spartacus at his early developement went toe to toe with a more seasoned Crixus. Either way both great characters and the interaction between them should make for a great drama. I dont see anyway that these two Alpha Males will ever have a bond that is not competitive.

@5IvanDrago5 This is the problem with the series. Gannicus had the upper edge on Doctore, and on season one, Doctore beat both Spartacus, and Crixus while he was training them for Theokeles. And this was when Crixus was on his prime, and still champion. We can both agree to disagree though. There's really not that many plot holes on the series though.. except how the fuck did Thekoles defeat 100 men in the small arena, when the new one wasn't even built yet?

The writers could have just pulled a name from their ass and invented a great gladiator, but they went with Gannicus because he's a historical character pulled right from the records. Season one was just the warm-up, imagine how awesome season two is gonna be.
