  • Congratulations :D I love it, very nice!

  • .....

  • fake. why is the VIA Rail annoucements on this video???? Smith Falls? Ottawa? wtf???

  • well done tawa college!

  • acters waiting for there q sorry i see them

  • TOKIOは?

  • Omg of course its fake it called a flash mob by tawa college umm whut

  • Screw the haters, that was WICKED cool!

  • biters!

  • Comment removed

  • @RonalGinho1990 I'm sure the worst flash mob in history is "Aiuteme a dì brutto".

Thankfully this isn't a flash mob eh? Barking up the wrong tree it seems.

  • these dancers

    ....as actors...

    are fake,

    as a like banknote of 35 €uro

  • @RonalGinho1990 Figuriamoci se poteva mancare il solito italiano che con il solito commento IDIOTA ci fa fare una pessima figura a tutti !

    These guys are great !

    Addio idiota

  • These kids carried out an amazing performance...and contrary to some comments, this was not intended to outdo any other flash mob performances.

    Well done Great performance.

  • @MegaLandy90 Thanks MegaLandy90 - some these students will no-doubt see your kind words.

  • this is fake

  • @rareshotelNL Heck, then I've been fooled something terrible all along!

  • @rareshotelNL they did comment that it was a staged performance....

  • Luke has changed so much.

    Still an awesome dancer though

  • cool

  • where's the video where we performed last week at the mall in porirua

  • @bipree I didn't film that one sorry - not sure if there is one available on YouTube yet.

  • @strugsnotdrugs all goods don't worry about it, haha someone uploaded it on youtube recently

  • ....a pale shadow of antwerp

  • No this one is not as good as the first one. Copy cats. Dressing in dance outfits ruined it. Too many chiefs in this one and not enough indians.

  • JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love the fat guy at 0305. looks on and must think too himself, ''all that exercise is making me hungry''. but great performance

  • HAhahaha lol i almost wet myself from laughing so hard!!!!! =D maan this "flash mob" wuz weird hehehe

  • Way too staged. didn't watch it from .54secs

  • defeats the purpose of a flash mob

  • I love it i think the kids did really well..love it keep the good job and it well explain. ;=)

  • I like the Belgiam one how they didn't wear costume. More people. Sorry. Must've been fun tho

  • What's the point of doing a flash mob if you're all gonna dress up for it. Kinda ruins the surprise

  • @neola247 Where does this video say it was a flash-mob?

  • @strugsnotdrugs Whether you say it's a flash mob in the description or not... it is a flash mob. And so was the video you modelled this off. I totally agree with neola247, this is the most fail flash mob I have ever seen. You kinda ruin the suprise by dressing up... nd the fact that you are the only ones in the train station?

  • @SOSsnowborda This is not a flash mob, I don't know how much more simply I can put this. If it WAS a flash mob however, then yes - ultimate fail. But you see- a planned, staged performance for a knowing audience ≠ flash mob.

  • @neola247 it was filmed for us to be able to put in the big production... it was on 2 over head projectors just for the effect of it

  • where's aucklands? I'll come watch...x

  • is nice but the belguim es very, very, very nice

  • Great performance, Great video, If You win and get to the States check out Tybee Island:)

  • @perktag2 agreed

  • Wow ! Super!

  • I don't see colour of skin when I watch flash mobs, I see & feel souls dancing in unison. That's why they bring such joy to people.

  • @perktag2 Lol I know whatcha mean

  • Very nice!!! I'd like there to be a unique local version @ every regional train station in every country on planet. Bring joy and art to the world.

  • I have so many questions about this cool, refreshing practice. I've never seen one or been lucky enough to be near one since my lack of funds prevents me from even visiting malls, or train stations where they might occur. How much practice is done before it all? And you don't get permission, do you? Or DO you? It seems that with the musical coordination, you'd have to. Anyway, this made my day and I will watch it again & again. Thanks so much for posting.

  • this was pretty awesome. but i do like the phone adverts we have here in england where people just start singing in the middle of train stations :) i love the reactions on everyones faces

  • thanks for the upload. tht was pretty kool dude. nice to see positive actions from our young ones, never mind the negative comments from the morons, keep doing what your doing. awesome

  • Well done kids! It takes courage to perform something so public without an expected audience or audience reception. I thought it was great!

  • it wasnt really a flash mob, they were in jazz shoes and costumes.

  • I'm a Kiwi, and I have to say that although I absolutely LOVE these flash mob dances and songs - this does not encapsulate their true nature. It simply doesn't work when you have lights and cameras set up around the place and people in costumes 'acting out' their little scenes. It is the spontaneity and the unexpected people who suddenly join in that make these such a beautiful display of the way in which we can make people smile and truly appreciate something unique. All that said, well done.

  • Great job by all !!! Thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

  • AWESOME JOB!

it take a great deal of courage to undertake a creative endeavor; for those who would try to discourage you your efforts, remember these words by Oliver Wendell Holmes for it applies to all who dare to create something new:

“Nature, when she invented, manufactured, and patented her authors, contrived to make critics out of the chips that were left.”

  • I have to admit, it is pretty good for high school students.

  • The kid in the beginning wearing the hat is hot. O.o

  • I'm confused as to why the cameras themselves are in the video. it would of looked alot cleaner had they of been hidden and coming from all those angles and the veiwers not of known exactly where the filmers were... but overall the video was great and i give you props for getting so many people together and filming it.

  • It sucks that so many of those people watching weren't all like :D!!!! Or :OOO!! They're just like :|. Really no spirit. Not like the kids that performed that, they were so smiley and cheerful. The audience was horrible. The kids were out of sync at some parts, but cmon u guys who are hatin', theyre really young and I can't even imagine how many hours that took to make up and practice. And its not like you can see everyone and tell if you're standing a little to the side. It's a lot harder than

  • @perktag2 dude - do you have anything positive to say? Could it hurt to credit someone for at least trying?

  • @strugsnotdrugs thanks for the upload. tht was pretty kool dude. nice to see positive actions from our young ones, never mind the negative comments from the morons, keep doing what your doing. awesome

  • @perktag2 That kid is actually awesome. He has so much enthusiasm - check out the television news article in the video response below.

  • u made me lol ty.

  • This is actually quite good. I love what you did with the kids, the choreography is great!

  • The beaty of a staged event is you can have professional quality cameras instead of just surveilance video.

  • @waterskippers You make a great point. This video was produces from seven takes and filmed with one camera only. We managed to make it so it looked like the one performance.

  • cmon bruz gotta git de train

  • I think it's pitiful that people are so judgmental of these kids. I think it's absolutely brave of them to perform in front of strangers and in a public place. Bravo, I don't I'd have the guts to do it. <3

  • Anything that makes travel weary people perk up and smile is always a positive. Kudos to those kids...it took many, many hours of practice to put up this show.

  • OK, it's a dance show not a flash mob. Ok. Great production.

  • To all the judgemental people out there,

This is not organised by, directors, producers, choreographers or the like. They are school age children, average of 17 years. This is an amazing effort. I challenge you to do better!

  • It is always wonderful, and a miracle of the joy of living, when young people perform in a moment of joy filled time. This IS true art.. whatever all these comments and comparisons are about, who cares! Any joy, anyplace in this world, is a reminder of something larger than ourselves and our momentary issues, that should be embraced with gratitude, not attitude.

  • I want audience to sing and dance. I expect it.

  • This is so great. It is the music, the dancing, the reaction of the crowd. Being staged does not take away from the enjoyment for me - and apparently lots of others. Keep them coming. I am hooked.

  • this sucks

  • Very well done, kids! Bravo!!

  • it would have been better if it was more spontaneous. it was kind of obvious that everyone was in on it when they were starting. it would have been way better if everyone was dressed kinda the same and just jumped in like most of the other videos like this.

  • It doesn't matter that the kids "weren't as good" as Antwerp or whatever - they did a wonderful job on their own merits, and that's a happy song no matter where one goes. I think some of the onlookers were surprised by the events, even if it was staged - there's always someone that didn't see/hear any announcement in news media. And the more the kids perform, the better they get! (and I LOVED the button-rimmed hat, 1980's or not!!). Well done!!

  • As they said in the opening, this is NOT a surprise like the events in Antwerp or Philadelphia. This was a staged event that was no surprise to anyone.

  • The boy in the front is sooooooooo beautiful, handsome, cute

  • loving the remix !

  • Pssst! 1980s called and it wants it's button rimmed hat back.

  • Except it's not Angela Cartwright singing lead- it's Dame Julie A!

  • i am amazed that its live so evrey one can have fun

  • the beauty of youth!

  • put the haka in next time tawa college but its cool.

  • I remember this, ended up staying and watching it and ended up being late for an appointment but what could I do? It isn't every day random kids come out and dance in the middle of Wellington train station, you just had to see it. xD

    Great performance guys.

  • That was simply outstanding!! Bravo to the talented folk at Tawa College!!!

  • Well done Tawa College, my old school I even spotted Shona Murray in there, glad to see she is still there doing what she does best

  • This is cool. Used as a tool to promote the school production, ingenious. Well done Tawa College. boo all you people that can't just watch the clip in the vein it is intended!

  • this just sucked. cramped venue, horrible novice performers, and could they have spent some more on the costumes than just some scrap material sewn together?

  • oui c'est la même musique qu'a la Belgium central station mais la danse est différente. c'est pas mal !

  • Watch Belgium central station!

  • This was a very good performance.

  • very good

  • Bravo for students of Tawa College!!!

  • Beaucoup de créativité!

    A lot of creativity !

    Joey.

  • I wish I'd been in Wellington when this happened. I went to that New World when I was staying at the green hostel over the road! New Zealand is the most awesome country!

  • look like north korean parade

  • Thank you! Loved it, and your effort. Wishing you all the best. Hope to visit your country soon. C

  • @BernardProfitendieu What are you even talking about? Creep.

  • I've been to this place....it's been a long time....but loved the city. I loved New Zealand....very nice people and very pretty.

  • I've been to this place....it's been a long time....but loved the city.

  • Fantastic! i wish they do this sort of thing in wellington every week.

  • i agree they should have dressed normally...its all a little 'stage like' performance..which is against the whole point of it being in a public train station... But good on you for doing it, nice 4 kids

  • Its a pale copy of what happened in Antwerp.

  • I like the one from belgium more, the pp there were really random :)

  • Even if it was staged , It was well done !! I think the anthwerp performance was also

staged , Only differance was the people in the station carrying on about there every day buisness had no clue it was which is what made it so good. But your remake was also good. Well Done !

  • this was just weird

  • rubbish

  • cool XD

  • they should've dressed normally. it would be more supprising if normal people suddenly started singing:D

  • @w1126aaa it wasn't made to surprise people- it was a staged performance. and you know how schools get with costuming and crap haha

  • cool, keep time tho xxx

  • This was terrific and very inspiring. Great structure to the piece, and terrific internal motivation for your young performers. And wicked tight moves.

  • Brilliant! I also love Central Station in Brussels. Would you ever think of staging such an event in Newark Penn Station NJ USA? We can use the love

  • looks like it could be a great exercise regiment , and hecka fun.

  • I love it -- Clap Clap --

  • Awesome.. so glad I came across it.. Great Job! Kudos!

  • fantastic!

  • Cool!!

I love these flash mobs in famous landmarks!!!

    great job.

    lol

  • omg how gay tawa college is a shit hole

  • pritty mint man gosh missin home now lol!

  • Great job! I seen the Belgium one first then looked at this. Very nicely executed plan.

  • is this MV?

  • Great discription for the performance but the teachers should have used diffrent setting not at the station as Antwerp had already made its mark!!!!! Well done kids.

  • STOP PUTTING STUPID LINKS ALL OVER THE DAMN VIDEO SO WE CAN BARELY SEE ANYTHING!!!!!!!!! IDIOT!

  • Besides the fact it says it's staged, how the heck did everyone miss the fact it's clearly staged?

  • Thanks everybody. You made my day happier.

  • maybe is not the same in Belgium but is very very nice and createful , bravo for everyone who played that dance with your heart.

  • As someone with a very strong dance background (B.A. in Dance from an American University) I can see where the good intentions are. The problem here is not the students but the faculty. These teachers should have known better than to use the same EXACT scenario and not expect to be compared. To pay homage is good but originality is also valued. If they had chosen a different song there would be absolutely no conflict. Its unfortunate these teachers didn't have that foresight.

  • so...cool.....

    i like!

  • nice :D

  • Fucking crap. I want my 6 minutes back.

  • Impressive :) very enjoyable and I love the song being used!

  • they just copied the guys in belgium!

  • Great, really nice, not as awesome as the Antwerp version tho, its hard to not compare them...

    Still really nice, respect.

  • I LOVE IT I SO MUCHHHHH >______< !!!!!!

  • How fun? I just love it. I hope they had fun.

  • This is Great! Glad you made effort to create it.

Good Music and Good Dancing, what's not to love?

  • Great job!

  • I love this! It's so passionate!!

  • these brats need to run, not walk, to the nearest acting class!!

  • @BernardProfitendieu ummmmmm, they are just teenagers inspired by the antwerp dance. jesus.

  • @Aspekitteh jesus had nothing to do with this mess! and being a teenager isn't an excuse for mediocrity and lack of imagination

  • @BernardProfitendieu wow, who crapped on your cornflakes

  • Well done, Wellington Kiwis! :D I think it's awesome that you took the Antwerp idea and created your own soundtrack and choreography. You've got me grinning from ear to ear. Thanks for your dedication to dance.

  • TAHNKS TO THOSE WHO WORKED THIS OUT.

  • Comment removed

  • Very cool dance!!!

  • THis was wonderful work folks! I loved it! :)

  • sus mamadas!! lo que es no tener imaginacion

  • Very cool video.

personally I like the antwerp most (for its spontaneity). but this is also very nice.

probably this kids had a lot of work, so:

    congratulations for this awesome show.

  • this is a great video i love watching these dances

  • This was a wonderful performance! Thanks so much for posting it. The energy and enthusiasm is so apparent - I'll be smiling all day!
