I do have a question. Angelus paints seem to be the recommended paint to use, why a leather paint for a canvas shoe?

@BasementRuthie Because Angelus paints on canvas won't crack and they are designed to expand and stretch a bit with movement. Regular acrylics will crack. :)

I used Angelus Leather Paints, you can order them online. So a permanent marker would work - that's a whole different style of shoe designing. You just wouldn't be able to get some of the same effects as painting it on. Whatever you choose to do, good luck!
