I love and hate this song at the same time. My son killed himself at 25, and I feel it was my fault. I don't think he knew I would accept him as he was, for who he was. To parents who watch this, just love your kids, I found out he was my son less than a year ago, just wish I would have known him sooner, and could still hug him now!!

One of my Best friends Blake Webb died in an accident when he was racing motorcross. I Miss him so much. I had known him since first grade. Go to google and type in Blake Webb and find out ways you can help his family.

Very nicely done! Take it from an old guy you did a real nice job and got a lot of the idea behind this song. Don't let your time go without taking the time to spend a few with an old friend, someday they are gone and it is to late then to wish that you had spent the time with them and what was so important you didn't. My dog passed away a month ago, had him for over 10 years, so everytime i hear this song, i think of all the times we played catch & all that man's best friend stuff. As well as the many loved ones that i've lost over the years. I get chills everytime i hear this song. RIP to all my loved ones & my respects to those with the same love for this song as I do & RIP to the many loves in ya'll lives who've passed on.

i love this song. my best friend passed away 4-26-07. and my friends and I made a slideshow for him to show to our school. this was the song that we used, so every time i hear it, i cry.

This is my favorite song ever. It's spectacular... it still gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. This video is well made. The only problem is, it does not relate to the true meaning of the actual story to the song. "My Old Friend" was written for Tim's dog to whom he loved as a younger lad, then later harshly neglected it. This song was for the dog who he loved and forgot about over time. It was a way for him to apologize to the dog, and let everyone know that he was a best friend.
