  • I really appreciate you for posting these videos. What I appreciate even more is your urging towards Jesus Christ. Even though I'm not the perfect Christian by far, I'm making my way through this Trich with Jesus helping me every step of the way.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your appreciation. It means a lot to me. About being a Christian, I think of myself as a "Believer"... one Who Believes is Jesus Christ. But as for being a Christian, yeah.. me too! Not perfect, but always willing to learn how to come up higher. Hey, thank Greatness that we are "a work in progress!!! & The best has yet to come!"

    God Bless & Thanks!!!

  • Exactly! Thanks for your kind words, they've really helped my day. :D

    God bless you too!

  • You guys have to try hypnosis it really works. I had this problem and I haven't pulled for months. I first heard of it of a person who had tried it due to the same reason and it worked for him. Everyone that has tried hypnosis please leave a comment in order for others to try it. Good luck for all. You guys dont have anything to loose what else just try it

  • The narrator is so well-spoken and I love the visuals...what I learned I can unlearn...

  • and their are no documentary's to help males, and how it affects them, what a fucking sexist helpful society

  • You know what? We expose something so difficult to talk about and need support and help. Dont be so fucking rude. It has been shown that almost all people with trich are females. It has to do with horomones. If you're so damn worried about sexism, make one yourself. We'll support you.

  • i've had it for 17 years. I'm 27.

  • i also have trick i hate it i have had it 10 years i am 17 and i love you vids they give me alot of hope for maybe getting better. but i don't think thats going to happen till i get out of highschool becuse of the kids

  • Everything comes in it's own time. Gods Timing. However, learn everything you can about where you are in life right now. Bear in mind, this time in your life will transform where what you can learn now will be lost to the sands of time for ever tomorrow. I concur that the other kids surrounding you can feel stifling to your growth and healing. I recall highschool atmosphere very well.Let Jesus Christ come into your heart so he can guide your heart&knowledge so that your realm of experience grows

  • I like this video very much and your paragraph.

ive had this for 10 plus years. I know I need to find a hobby. But I find it so hard in these times of trouble to trust that the Lord will fix this. I feel that I have been cursed with this, and that he is punishing me wrongfully. How can I hope to be like you? So full of faith and hope?

  • Thank you for your commentary. It is so difficult to find the way. Hope is everything. We hope in God, not the situation. The situation may not change the way we want it. But, with time (&hope), how we *feel* about it may/CAN transform! I feel God helps us grow from the inside: out. How we choose to handle the trich will have a outward attitude that spills over into it. No one wants to pull. But, we are NOT defined by it. When I gave up (having hair) I chose to bloom right where I was planted.

  • never say its impossible. you can do it-you've just got to find your way

  • Nice video! It has certainly taught me a lot more than most of the videos I have seen. Thanks for clearing a lot of things up!

  • I agree! I never do it when I'm with others, and when i'm alone again, if it's only for a little time, I don't ever feel urged to do it.

  • Another Trich sufferer here. (I take it as far as phagia.) I haven't had my long hair in a while. My hair started to grow back out at a de decent length, but i started to devour it again. Yes, I've had surgery because of it before. :(

    I enjoyed watching your video.

  • Yes, it DOES suck. Nonetheless, it has really forced me to review other personalities more profeciently than I would otherwise. So, in a sense... while trich SUX big time.. I end up (after filtering lotsa bad apples from my immediate circle of close friends) with QUALITY hearts that I choose to draw into my private life. It's forced me in to tight corners but also has afforded me great strides of compassion for others and brought strength from pain.

  • well said!!!!

  • I knew two people who did this. One even chewed her own fingers off to try and stop. I think that it's nice to see something on it to help educate people. I think it happens more than people think.

  • Is it that true, she actually chewed her own fingers off (flesh, bone & all & more than 1 finger) to try and stop? Thank you for your very positive feedback. However, it really seems improbable that someone would actually chew off their fingers to stop pulling. Although, I can imagine the drive to quit pulling at almost any cost. So, please elaborate on whether this person chewed her own finger(s) off to try and stop.

Thank you for taking your time to share. Look forward to hearing from you.

  • Yes, it is true, she chewed her own fingers off to stop. Yes, flesh and bones and all. You're welcome, keep up the good work!

  • I yell at myself and say "NO!" "STOP!" ...it helps temporarily.

  • Ive had Trichotillomania for 5 years.

  • I actually did find a solution to trich and it did not involve psychology or drugs. This little trick stopped my nasty habit cold even though I did it for 5 years!

  • Thank you for sharing! It is great to pull together and help each other out. Take care!

  • I sincerely thank you for creating this informative video. I will surely show this to anyone who asks what trich is.

Hobbies really do help with trichotillomania. The best of luck to you and everyone else!

  • You are so kind to take time to share your positive comment! You bet, hobbies help a lot! :) More importantly, I feel hobbies help with the secondary effects that trich can ensue, such as depression and compromised self esteem. And of course hobbies help deflect time spent pulling. Thank you for blessing me with your kindness! May Greatness Bless your path and Life!

  • The information here can be applied to most any anxiety order.

Great anxiety information here though and a great video.

    Take care of yourself.

  • Incredibly powerful story.Inspiring

  • Well done on beating Trichotillomania! You've made a few really good points - Knowledge is power; We each have a responsibility to find our own cure instead of simply following a prescribed treatment, and that there is likely to be a different cure for every one of us - something that prevents us from pulling long enough for our brains to be reconditioned, to unlearn the behaviour. Congrats!
