I've listened to practically every single word of yours here on youtube, and I cannot hold back my tears much longer. I am so grateful that here in the western world, women are given the same rights as the man, that I had been blinded not to see the facts right in front of me. As I said, I cannot hold back my tears much longer.
I don't understand why people talk about dictatorship when it comes to analyzing a monarchy ! Great Britain has a queen, it doesn't mean it's a dictatorship !

She has a good point and message but I hope she is not directing this strictly towards the US and asking us to do it. It seems that whenever someone has a problem they go asking the US to fix it for them and then we do it. The US spends far more money on humanitarian issues than anyone else and its time the rest of the world started doing their part. Am I saying the US should not contribute? No, but I am saying that other developed countries with economies in better shape should do more.

This issue is very important and needs to be addressed before it is too late by you, me, and the rest of the world.
Through YouTube, Queen Rania is able to make the global community aware of the plight of Arab women. They are making long strides of progress, but the journey is far from over. I believe Queen Rania are right. Not only do I agree with her because I am a girl myself but this improves the critical skills using thought to increase throughout the world. Educating the women is a major problem..actually what i feel is that..from my experience..the major problem that still exists in many societies is gender inequality exists..only by bringing a major awareness among the mass..we can accomplish this task
I never believed in titles or royal name calling. I would never call anyone a king/queen/prince and mean it just because they were born to someone.
_Queen_ Rania, you have earned your title and then some. I was in the middle east and I _know_ for a fact that you don't have to do this. You could be in different country everyday shopping and spending millions of dollars on useless accessories (like a lot of "rulers" do).
You are a complete breath of fresh air and I wish you nothing but the best.

We need to achieve success through knowledge. InshAllah we all will.
Knowledge is not just limited to Males, something which many people have adopted as a core belief by mistake & lack of knowledge. Seeking Knowledge is mandatory upon every Believer, be they male or female.
I pray every girl around the world is able to defend & protect herself & gain the most of her potential inshAllah.
I really liked your video and your channel. If you really want to get your business exposed, I have a program that does exactly that. This same program has boosted my business to the top of the internet.I promise this is not a mlm, pyramid scheme, or how to make money on ebay program. If you get a chance please check out my channel and my videos and visit my webpage. Thanks again can't wait to hear from ya.
One of the most intelligent, reasoned, powerful and beautiful women on the planet! I watched her logic and quiet reason destroy bellicose american pundits in a USA interview and all were subdued by her wisdom and charm! A jewel of Jordan and a treasure of the world!
Your factoid about the number of words men and women use is inaccurate.
While your numbers may be wrong, your point is absolutely correct. Please continue encouraging women to make their voices heard, and reshoot your video to dispel yet another widely held misperception about women. When you talk, people listen. No matter how many or how few words you use.
You can't be way off on a comment more than this.. "Muslim" countries DOES NOT SUPPORT TERRORISM AT ALL. There are like 0.00000000000000001% of those so called "Muslims" that are ruining the reputation of other faithful and peaceful muslims that are living their livees like ANY OTHER person on Earth. And btw, her majesty wasn't JUST talking about Jordan, or other muslim and/or middle-eastern countries. Her majesty was talking about the whole world.
I am a female university student in Korea. I actually had not known much about the status of Islam women. But after seeing your video I became interested in the rights and prevention for abused females in the world. Your channels are so impressing. Thanks for awesome resources, and hope you to keep good working!!
Every nation is different, and it is not possible to compare other one. The only thing that I don't agree it performs of that the human rights aren't respected, be in the place that is of this world. We continue trying to change the things, for a better world.
I'm a 19-year-old girl of Spain. I admire your interest for a better intercultural relation. I think that it's not so important what we think the western ones on your culture, but rather as they think the people who lives there. But for it should to have of there being full freedom of thought and conscience, which is for what, I believe that you have to work
You know whats more disgusting than anything else on this planet? Its muslims who come on youtube and start to whine and bellyache about Islam not getting enough respect and they are insulted by everything.
what the hell does not insult Islam?
Hear what they do, they come and hit a thumbs down on people like me who criticize their barbaric way of life.
By trying to sympathize with Islam I actually began to hate it more than anything else after seeing what Islam does to women. God bless Rania!
Afghan girls being slaughtered for wanting to be educated, Hijab being forced by radicals, Women can't even pray together as a family unit in mosques, Islam hates women!
Im sorry if my words were a bit harsh 5 days ago. But as a woman, it really does upset me that in the name of honor a 33 year old woman was killed by her own 16 year old brother. It is sad when the families of women are their own killers! Killings, revenges, and all forms of violence will never improve anything. It only worsens everything! Just an honest thought!
I really do hope to see and end for all in honor crimes or a harsh punishment for those who do so. I also hope to see boys, men, women are educated that honor killing and all forms of violence or revenge is certainly not the right thing to do! Empathy and the respect for other human being is the correct thing to teach!
Yes I agree women must have educational opportunities by making education affordable and easily accessible no only to women but to men and families too! Educating families and everyone about anger management, about how to proper treat each other, not just academic education but life long relationship and communication and non violent resolution skills! Good Luck to you Queen Rania.
for ur info. Islam gives women so much rights that other religions dont.. and Islam respects women the most as women is part of our community and sociaty. not like in america most women get pregnant at their teengaes and one parenting.. islam is much better than that!
Dear Queen thank you for this video I hope that you and your husband would use your words to speak up for the Baha'i religious minority in Iran who are denied thirtiary education. (only one of the many persecution inflicted on them) Thank you
my wife is high school graduated, the problem is.. i dont have enough investment to teach her and take her to college, thats the main reason for a young married guy not to let his wife make more of his wife than sitting home making milk for our 9 months old son.
but am glad someone understand what we're going through. Thanks queen Rania for this video. keep us the great words your majesty. its all inspiring for all of us.
God is actually the most evil thing on this planet. And you know what Shakira also agrees with my statement.
Check her song with lyrics how do you do. Where she was insulting god, infact the song was banned in the middle east. LMAO. They said her dresscode and her lyrics are incompatible with Islam. lol
Yeah funny how Shakira is one of the fewest people who thinks we should replace god with education Education for all to end poverty. I agree with her cause god also needs to pay for what he did
God AKA Allah said women must not work and they must not become educated. The Taliban and Bin ladin spelled it out for muslims. They called it Sharia AKA Islamic Law. If Islam does not preach hate and does not say hit women then tell me why is it in Islamic law women are treated like livestock? And butchered?
But hey don't be to hard on Islam in North Korea they torture women worst for things like having children outside the korean race.
Muslims may seem Barbaric but so was Christians once.
And if a women is afraid of being under the mercy of her husband , where he will forbid her from money and try to humiliate her using the principle of "he who got the money got the power" , maybe then the problem is not in her its in her ,husband she should have been more smart to get a better one .
From my limited experience the more religious the husband the less likely he will be oppressive and violent , this is the opposite of what i would've told you 5 years ago .
Its seems that there is a conflict in the goals , women are supposed to "get higher education and productive work" , And "raise educated sons" , i don't think raising a kid is an easy job that it could be done part time .
Truly the world as i see it perfect,we should have educated males and females, then males should pursue the job of providing funds and protection for his family and the women should pursue the more important job of building and raising a great society by raising her sons right.
Education is a wonderful gift which helps people make a better world! Women have just as much right as men to an education and that is only fair and just! Also a good quality education teaching about how best to care for others around them and the environment with its limited resources.
I wish it could be taken one step further. Stopr the intolerance and hate within Islam and then we will all know that she is not speaking hollow words.
In Islam it was the fault of both Adam and Eve that got them forbidden from heaven , in Judism the Torah blames Eve alone , don't get me started on the unfair women treatment in judism , islam is all about good deeds , love , care for others , and self defense against aggressors , when we go into war we don't open womens wombs and kill children .
you know i honestly used to believe that you mean every word u say.
but when the government reduces funding for education and scientific research and STILL nothing is being done about honor crimes then forgive me for not taking you seriously anymore.
well said! also one did not hear her speak out as fearlessly on the palestine-israeli conflict..when women and their children were prime targets in gaza. it is not enough to only say what is convenient. she must extend courage and fearlessness to truth!
If all women of Jordan, like you, think of was able to connect every child to achieve all the aspirations of the existence of a nanny like yours ......
Education is a universal human right. Among the unalienable rights mentioned as the only justification for a governments existence in the American Declaration of Independance. Its not just girls but poor people all over the world are denyed this right because governments are more interested in looting their people than securing their rights. Governments that fail to enable universal education are just criminal gangs. Religious education is brainwashing. A poor substitute for good public schools.
Desparatelly needed education, but if you have people and women who think, how can you control and abuse them?! History of our 'civilised' world has written many horror stories that are repeating over and over again.
Check out Zeitgeist and Zeitgeist addendum for some hometruths!!! Then we can start talking about real education! Not just well off solders of cruel society!
But why can't we educate man to stop humiliating women and themselves. And where are the mothers of those man and lawmakers?
Now most people would not like to hear this. But religion is indeed a cancer to this planet and god is the cause of suffering of everyone. Not satan but god amazing I know.
You know after seeing Shakira and her commitment to education over the many years I have come to admire women as leaders greatly. I mean I am a man but I can safely say men are animals and barbarians. lol So its important women are leaders
Sadly islam is against women becoming leaders hence Islam like all religion is evil.
Queen Rania, I really admire your outreach through Youtube and definitely agree with closing the gender gap, and would love to be able to close the language gap. I've been wanting to learn Arabic, and know many people like me but many don't have the resources. I think it would be great if an Arab country would provide a free website for learning Arabic.
Just thought I'd let you in on a little fact about arabic: There are many different accents in arabic, meaning each country sorta localizes its use of arabic. For example, in egypt ppl speak egyptian arabic and so on. But overall, all arabic speakers can understand eachother. Classical arabic is the true form of arabic but no one speaks it. We just learn it in school and use it in writing literature. So first you have to choose which dialect of arabic you wanna learn.
How come honor crime still occurs in Jordan ? Educating women is important! How about also educating boys, men, mothers to make them understand that killing never resolves anything, it only worsens things! Just a thought.
Economic motives by the criminals and the refusal of an entire country to stand up against such crimes. Why? Because of fear!
The solution is easy if we address the social, economic and legal systems, and if we shift our language. Putting a stop to dark age behavior is possible - it just takes a sincere will and perseverance. We should begin by categorizing a crime as a crime. And there's certainly no honor in that!
Providing opportunities for women to be educated is important. But males and families must be educated about womens rights too! When will honor crimes and violence against women once and for all in Jordan Queen Rania? If a person who speaks out against the government in Jordan can be arrested, then why not use the same force to punish severely those who kill women in the name of honor? Just a thought!
I agree with Queen Rania that educating girls (and boys) is a good idea. However, I don't think a lack of global will is the problem. We've developed the one-laptop-per-child program, MIT's open courseware, the Gutenberg project, and other sites to educate the world. We've also sent billions in forgeign aid. The bigger problem is laws that forbid women from attending schools, schools that spread hate instead of knowledge, and the risks of imprisonment and terror attacks directed at web users.
your right. Through out human history , more thought has been put into killing , rather than saving. Then its also profit , not sharing . Gender or not, man is acountable for this.
Also , when you said that women use more words a day than men, its because you talk too much.!!! lol.. men just get to the point ... sometimes..........
Making your voice heard isn't enough !!with all do respect aren't you the Queen how did you take a stance when Palestine was terrorized and how will you take action towards helping our Muslim sisters and brotheris in the currently occupied Palestine ?
Your Majesty is speaking such words of truth. As a minister in America, I see even here so many women who are abused and sent down the wrong path in life. Thank you for being here to help raise awareness of this issue that affects the entire world.
God invented these creatures for obvious, agreed upon reasons: sex, entertainment, cleaning and cooking.
LOOOL no I just kid you, my feminist friends. I want more women to be in power, so that The Bigger Dick Foreign Policy would stop costing this world many lives
Who told you that Jordan is not helping?? We are helping the best way we can..helping aid in many forms were sent to our loved Palestinians and are still being send.....
hmm , though I love if that is possible , but jordan can't just go into palastine and build stuff , Israel won't let it happen , if you know the kind of tention between arabs and Israel you'll know that doing something like that could start another arabs/israel war , and with the problems in iraq and lebanon , we don't want that , not now
In Israel ALL women, regardless of their affiliation have equal rights & all citizens are ENTITLED to education &life free from violence.Where are the voices decrying the cult of death & the use of innocent women, children, men as decoys, suicide bombers & shields behind which Hamas`s war is fought. Israelis cry each time we lose a human life, regardless of who, all are God`s creatures, rejoicing in the loss of human potential is a travesty & a distortion of values that civilized societies hold dear
iribabe , no you don't consider us as humans , we are goyims , you consider us more like sheep , oh wait a second you didn't lie you said that we are all god "creatures" Jews are humans others are sheep , correct me if am wrong .
In Islam a man's testimony is equal to two women testimonies !!!! well that said
in a court in an Islamic country an educated woman's word cant stand against an illiterate man's word ... because Islam says a man is twice as credible.
Man's testimony in regards to finance and there are exceptions to this rule, but all we hear is "man=two women" which shows continued ignorance of Islam.
Indeed women need more rights around the world. They deserve much more respect than what they receive now-- but doesn't your factoid simply state that women talk too damn much? Less words, more sandwiches.
But it's not a matter of "more rights." It's a matter of a global problem where groups and collectives triumph over the individual. People need to respect the individual as a sovereign entity. Once that respect is gained, these problems simply would not exist (except on a strictly voluntary basis, in which case it's not actually a problem).
I am not going to judge you based on your ignorance. But could you prove your point? Islam promotes the preservation of women's dignity, and hidjab helps hide their physical charactersitcs from foreign men, to preserve their beauty exclusively for their husbands. Koran is the only holy book that was never modified by a human after it was tought by God to the prophet (Peace be upon him).Go do some researches before you post your bashes on the internet.
I've listened to practically every single word of yours here on youtube, and I cannot hold back my tears much longer. I am so grateful that here in the western world, women are given the same rights as the man, that I had been blinded not to see the facts right in front of me. I've seen democracies and other non democracies commit far worse crimes than anyone thing you've ever seen it history.
Try actually studying the history of Jordan (esp. of the late King Hussein) before making such sweeping statements.

This is a campaign to get women like the women in the WEST ( USA).
I dont believe in male domination or the exploitation of women by any means.
Poverty is one issue
Empowering women is a seperate issue
you need to stop putting them together to shock people
If by empowering she means: not covering herself, wearing make up and lipstick then no thats not women NEED.
Women need to be respected and EDUCATION does not lead to respect, IT leads to class warefare.

The problem is not uneducated women.
Uneducated women aren't doing anything wrong or hurting anyone.
The problem is on the other side, the people who are educated.
Educated people are exploiting, and keeping the knowledge from others.
Until educated people change there viewpoint and additude twords others this will not change.
The only way people become wealthy is by exploiting others because they cant do all the work themselves.

A very pleasing video. In this man's world where people are under educated by design, woman even have the worst part of the deal.
Where women are by nature more social then men, their absence in key positions is why this world could become where it is now.
Please read the 1937 document "OUR FINANCIAL MASTERS" , by A. RAVEN THOMSON, explaining how MEN, over and over have tiranised our societies.
What you will not like to hear however is that religions have sustained the traditional role of men.

Dear Queen Rania,
Your factoid about the number of words men and women use is inaccurate.
While your numbers may be wrong, your point is absolutely correct. Please continue encouraging women to make their voices heard, and reshoot your video to dispel yet another widely held misperception about women. When you talk, people listen. No matter how many or how few words you use.

Dear Queen Rania,
Im sorry if my words were a bit harsh 5 days ago. But as a woman, it really does upset me that in the name of honor a 33 year old woman was killed by her own 16 year old brother. It is sad when the families of women are their own killers! Killings, revenges, and all forms of violence will never improve anything. It only worsens everything! Just an honest thought!

I'm so sorry to hearing such an horror story. It really moved me.

Hey gingeralexis,
Just thought I'd let you in on a little fact about arabic: There are many different accents in arabic, meaning each country sorta localizes its use of arabic.

Just a thought.
thoughtfulbrain 2 years ago
Economic motives by the criminals and the refusal of an entire country to stand up against such crimes. Why? Because of fear!
The solution is easy if we address the social, economic and legal systems, and if we shift our language. Putting a stop to dark age behavior is possible - it just takes a sincere will and perseverance. We should begin by categorizing a crime as a crime. And there's certainly no honor in that!
ArabianDesertMonkey 2 years ago
Providing opportunities for women to be educated is important. But males and families must be educated about womens rights too! When will honor crimes and violence against women once and for all in Jordan Queen Rania? If a person who speaks out against the government in Jordan can be arrested, then why not use the same force to punish severely those who kill women in the name of honor? Just a thought!
ScandinavianMiss 2 years ago
I agree with Queen Rania that educating girls (and boys) is a good idea. However, I don't think a lack of global will is the problem. We've developed the one-laptop-per-child program, MIT's open courseware, the Gutenberg project, and other sites to educate the world. We've also sent billions in forgeign aid. The bigger problem is laws that forbid women from attending schools, schools that spread hate instead of knowledge, and the risks of imprisonment and terror attacks directed at web users.
jtuf2008 2 years ago
your right. Through out human history , more thought has been put into killing , rather than saving. Then its also profit , not sharing . Gender or not, man is acountable for this.

Indeed women need more rights around the world. They deserve much more respect than what they receive now-- but doesn't your factoid simply state that women talk too damn much? Less words, more sandwiches.
Spitwyld 2 years ago
I lol'd.
But it's not a matter of "more rights." It's a matter of a global problem where groups and collectives triumph over the individual. People need to respect the individual as a sovereign entity. Once that respect is gained, these problems simply would not exist (except on a strictly voluntary basis, in which case it's not actually a problem).
Blazhei 2 years ago
I am not going to judge you based on your ignorance. But could you prove your point? Islam promotes the preservation of women's dignity, and hidjab helps hide their physical charactersitcs from foreign men, to preserve their beauty exclusively for their husbands. Koran is the only holy book that was never modified by a human after it was tought by God to the prophet (Peace be upon him).Go do some researches before you post your bashes on the internet.
