@Superfireguitar Good question and point. My first reaction in reading it was that I felt hurt and I felt angered. The Holy Spirit convicted my heart having this bad reaction. So I prayed asking for forgiveness and forgiving at the same time. With that to me I felt that I should pray for this person's salvation. And I posted my response hoping that it would point out that this was written out of sin and needs repentance and a savior.

My parents and I take care of her children and now my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. @vrssmt God indeed created this world miraculously and it was good, but we humans decided to follow our own plans and all of creation has started to deteriorate since then. In a way we're all spiritually amputated. But Christ sacrifice on the cross was to make us whole again and have everlasting life with God. Hallelujah!

@vrssmt I actually recently met someone who said that she should've never been born, but she was conceived and that at the time a tumor was found on her mom. The mom refused treatment, gave birth and after birth the tumor had disappeared. Pretty sure we can think of many secular interpretations for this though.
Besides that I do feel that God helps people beyond just restoring limbs and health. See for example the story of: 'Soul Surfer' (Movie based on true story of Bethany Hamilton)

So I prayed asking for forgiveness and forgiving at the same time. With that to me I felt that I should pray for this person's salvation. And I posted my response hoping that it would point out that this was written out of sin and needs repentance and a savior.

@vrssmt God indeed created this world miraculously and it was good, but we humans decided to follow our own plans and all of creation has started to deteriorate since then. In a way we're all spiritually amputated. But Christ sacrifice on the cross was to make us whole again and have everlasting life with God. Hallelujah!
On the other hand God is good and gracious and does work miracles. Who is to say that there wouldn't have been many more amputees if God wasn't graciously working?

@vrssmt I actually recently met someone who said that she should've never been born, but she was conceived and that at the time a tumor was found on her mom. The mom refused treatment, gave birth and after birth the tumor had disappeared. Pretty sure we can think of many secular interpretations for this though.
Besides that I do feel that God helps people beyond just restoring limbs and health. See for example the story of: 'Soul Surfer' (Movie based on true story of Bethany Hamilton)
