why are you dumbass people asking why theres a Winstin Churchill quote after this. If you actually sit there and read the quote then you will understand why is on here and what its talking about.
@MegaMURRAY123 I listed the quote below. The reason I put it is to illustrate that war should always be the last option!
Never, never, never believe any war will be smooth and easy, or that anyone who embarks on the strange voyage can measure the tides and hurricanes he will encounter. The statesman who yields to war fever must realize that once the signal is given, he is no longer the master of policy but the slave of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events.
@generaltodd2 Oh wait, sorry you asked what battle. Duh on my part. I am not sure what battle the band is singing about. I am guessing one of them around the April 1862 time frame.
@MIXEDUPTHROWNTOGETHR one year to the day could mean one year after he joined the army, the war began in april 1861 shiloh was about 6 dyas after the first anniversary of the war in 1862. 3) i'm guessing the 1861 line was about the beginning of the war and people prayed that they wouldn't die and the war to end. thats just my guess
@MIXEDUPTHROWNTOGETHR I have not been able to find anywhere that DKM commented on what battle this was referring. I am thinking it may just be a general song about the war.

Hmm, I just thought that maybe I should have used a photo of a train during a few parts of the song. Also, I need to include a works cited page for the photos.
@viroflay The video segment is from the Gettysburg movie which is the sequel to God's and General's. Thank you. The photos are taken from the Internet.
