  • man, Rob looks like Edward Norton at the age of 60 :)

  • Rob give to the song a side"Kyuss/stoner style" i guess oO

  • Eh... I don't quite dig Rob's work on this. Still great, though.

  • Rob Halford... Tony Iommi... same stage... *head explodes*

  • nice bass!

  • WHEN THE FUCK DID TONY GET CANCER??!

  • @markswanson1 in january

  • May God bless Tony and see him through this.

  • Rob Halford >< Ozzy Osbourne. I mean, they're not equal, but equally awesome.

  • Tony we all love you hope you win over cancer

  • God bless you Tony.. All of our prayers are with you...

  • better with ozzy but not bad

  • 3:32 Tony is like , I still got it motherfu''ers

  • the fuck??? Halford Singing with Sabbath?? thats fucking awesome! \m/

  • Michael Berryman looks great singing for Sabbath.

  • Tommy Chong looks great playing guitar for Sabbath.

  • @Bersekkker No? Who is he? The Pope?

  • @rZZo123 Sorry, I opened two videos at the same time and I was listening to something from another band... I'm the stupid. :-s Yes, this is Halford: The Pope of metal! :)

  • @Bersekkker XD

  • Halford is a great singer, but he really seems out of place here.

  • Oh god... Rob Halford is one of my favourite singer, but in this song he's totally ridicolous...

  • @DIOS437 Ok man. At first i'm a fan of Black Sabbath, and i don't care if he's a friend of Geezer (The best bass player ever yeah), he sang like a tortured cat!

However, i hope the new reunion can be good, but without Bill Ward it'll be not the same :(

  • Let's send out best wishes to Tony and hope he beats the cancer.

  • @bloodthirst72 : Best Wishes to Tony Iommi!!! The Iron Man!

  • Insults for Black Sabbath

  • @Stefan2057 Man, Dio ditched them. Rob stepped in and helped them finish the tour. He's not a Sabbath singer but he made it work.

  • This was after a Priest set! His voice was tired. Halford can do much better obviously.

  • hahahah sounds shite

  • children are not gay sorry rob

  • powiedzmy sobie.

  • i swear tony is the only person who still uses his knobs instead of using a pedal

  • Rob is a awsome singer but that one ? he's missing his voice

  • lol halford should have stayed home that night. he tried but failed.

  • Halford always had a fantastic voice

  • ALL HAIL ROB HALFORD!!!!

  • damned, wtf ? dickhead is drunk ?

  • love halford but on this track he sounded weird altough respect for doing vocals for one of the best band ever

  • Halford, Dio > Ozzy in everyway

  • @littledrummerofDEATH Ozzy with Sabbath is superior to Sabbath with Dio and Halford as well, he may not be a better singer but the music they wrote were a lot better, regardless of what anyone might point out.

  • This is just too cool.

  • This is Rob Halford, one of the original "Gods Of Metal", and he's earned a lifetime pass. This is not his style of music, and he still kicks ass in his own way. Keep 'er goin' Rob!

  • He should have sang it normally.

  • There is something wrong with his voice. it sounds weak and I don't think it's a kind of style he chose for the song...

  • Rob Halford doing Children of the GRAVE !!

    INSANE !!!

  • Love the way rob holds the mic, it's special.

  • I like this version

  • METAL GODS!

  • lol ozzy sing this 1mio better

  • thank you @MasterRockFan :)

  • Rob the god of metal singing with the creators of metal epic!

  • Think Khogan311 is right; however Ironman track from this performarce souds find to me, without trying to compare to Ozzy, but it´s a good rare version.

  • Poor Halford! You'd have thought he'd be able to hit those high registers a la Ozzy but, nah!

  • Old Gods playing metal

    Awesome

  • 2 22 he looks like a little devil hahahaha!

  • canta tudo errado mas é massa

  • Rob is always awesome

  • Dio - /watch?v=tENdOQpStBY

  • Dio - /watch?v=eVoIN4HYGbo

  • never seen this before, great video!.and yes,.to the haterz..rob's holding back his voice which isnt an easy thing to do, he's straining to keep it down, just watch you can see his struggles....like trying to run a lambo thru 5pm Ausitn traffic, she may just burn down on ya before ya get thru the next 3 miles of gridlock, not made for such things, but looks and sounds great doing it!

  • 14 homophibics watched this

  • Khogan311 is correct. I just wanted to see Ozzy singing Painkiller or any song from the "Painkiller" album, where Rob takes his high pitches to the maximum. Ozzy would probably have a sore throat, after trying the first scream of "Painkiller", and sounding terribly off. Artists make covers to show appreciation for each other's work, and if it sounds off, khogan311 already named why. KUDOS mate. \m/

  • Ouch THIS was bad. Very very bad.

  • out of key!

  • is this Mr clean? LOL

  • Damn Rob Halford was _THE_ heavy metal singer of his time but Black Sabbath will keep rocking us from the grave!

  • fu#kn awesome thanks for posting

  • F-ing Tony! He schools us all

  • ohhh damn .. i got shivers now xD \m/ KEEP ROCK N ROLL ALIVE

  • Im the BIGGEST fan of Sabbath and Priest!! but lets be honest, this sucks bad!!!!

  • Sounds like old "Rocka Rolla, Sad Wings" Halford.

  • His voice was probably tired from the Priest set.

  • Black Sabbath and Judas Preist you cant get no better than that!

  • Que version chota

  • That singer looks like something off lord of the rings sounds like it as well!

  • @GASMASKK"That Singer" Dude, it's Rob Halford, Singer from Judas Priest. Have some respect for one of the greatest singers not just in Metal but of all time. sorry to jump on you but most of the people that came here were for Rob.

  • @BudFactorE lol hahaha got you.

  • @BudFactorE I think it's about equally divided. And respect goes both ways. Rob Halford is definitely a a force to behold !

  • I bet he was having fun. He he i think Ozzy owes him a favor ; p

  • Bobby should front AC/DC if Brian Johnson wasn't available.

  • This version isn't very good, but i know God of Metal's voice and i know he still can kick ass. I was on a concert in this year and he sounds like from a MP3

  • Halford's voice is obviously not in great shape in this performance. I don't think he would have any problem with this song when he's in form. It's not like this song demands much from a vocalist.

  • nobody can sing as good as ozzy

  • Fuck Ozzy!!! BOBBY H KILLS!!!!!

  • better than actually ozzy

  • This was after a Priest set, so shut the fuck up people.

  • fuck rob halford. hes a washed up old man!!

  • @999N0t3str34k

Fuck you; you're a washed up little nobody!!

  • @999N0t3str34k Washed up Metal God please.

  • this was the 2nd time he sang for sabbath the first was 1992 when dio walked away!by the way dio could sing the phone book!ozzy was pissed off because he asked halford not to sing that night that may have had a effect on his performance.i thought he did good on other songs tht night!EPIC EPIC \m/ \m/

  • Halford is great.....but let's face it......

these ar Ozzy lyrics....that he sang with super knowledge.....

for any singer to step in and try to do justice....

Ozzy would be laughed off stage if he did any priest song....

Ozzy couldn't..........so give props to Rob !

  • What happened to Rob's voice? He used to sound amazing/EPIC!! He should be able to sing this masterfully but I guess not anymore. so sad..

  • @91nickt Rest assured. I saw Priest in June 2011.

They were beyond epic and the vocals were excellent.

  • @Kerbalf All right. I guess he was just having a rough night.

  • Rob should've sang with his usual voice, I bet it'd it sound way better!

  • @FatMetalMan There is a live performance video floatin around where he used his usual voice. Quality is crap :(, but it still sounded alot better. Ozzy is back with the pre '78 line up of Sabbath so it will be interesting to see the album they put out.

  • Comment removed

  • @FatMetalMan I was kind of hoping for him to scream his way thru the song ;)

  • People need to realize that the classic Sabbath songs were wrote around Ozzy's singing style. For someone to step up and fill in the vocals for a set that is not designed for them, it is gonna sound off. Take a listen to Dio singing the classic Sabbath songs from the Ozzy era, they sound off as well. Halford was doing a huge favor for these guys and he put on a hell of a show.

    Lets see you do better.

  • @khogan311 I agree with you,but I think his voice wasn't so good that day...

  • @khogan311 True story bro! I think Rob Halford did a better job at singing Black Sabbath songs then Ozzy would sing for the Priests. Im just laughing at the thought of Ozzy singing Painkiller xD

  • @korsnas11 I forgive you bro.... you clearly dont know what you saying. Ozzie is Ozzie, Halford is Halford,Dio was Dio, Gillan is Gillan, Tony Martin,....etc they are all legends in their own style.

  • @MoonBernie Dude, that's exactly what i mean! Rob Halford is a great singer! But this song is made for Ozzy's voice and frankly not for Halfords voice. Wich sadly is pretty obvious in this video. Halford is still a great guy who covered Dio for the last 2 shows and he deserves credit for it!

  • @korsnas11

maybe in 1970 Ozzy could do that, he did hell of a job with screaming sabbath bloody sabbath. Rob is great, but he dont fit in Ozzy songs. No one besides Ozzy should sing them

  • @OathBird My point exactly! :)

  • @korsnas11 Priest is Priest. Sabbath is Sabbath. I have news for you: Black Sabbath is far better than Judas Priest and Ozzy deserves more respect as a singer.

  • @GrungeBouke I'm afraid I can't agree with you there. I think both singers are totally awesome and they deserve respect. Personally i prefer Ozzy and Sabbath, but that doesnt make Rob a worse singer.

  • @korsnas11Ozzy needs no songs of Rob Halford sing because he is better a thousand times and more successfully.

  • @korsnas11 It's Ozzy, it would be awesome anyway:D

  • @korsnas11 Ozzy can barely "sing" ozzy tracks, I'd probably tear up laughing if I hear him ever singing a Dio or Priest song. It's a shame the bitterness between Ozzy and Dio kept ruining potential greatness.

  • @korsnas11 You're right about that, but no one can do Ozzy's songs as great as the man himself.

  • @khogan311 I have a question: You don't have too answer it but if you can I would appreciate it, when a band sings a song and places that song on his/hers CD Dose the original singer get the proceeds from that song? If anyone out there has the answer please feel free to respond, God Bless and Merry Christmas too all--& God Bless You In the New Year!!!!

  • @thundermaster41

yesthe original writer gets credits, and youi'd better have written approval or they will take everything you own.lols.just saying

  • @khogan311 i agree/people like to bash ozzy but at one time he had a great voice and the songs he did are very hard to sing.He still does a pretty good job.I mean the guy is 62 yrs old and has been making music and touring almst non stop for over 40 yrs. people should give him respect.Halford does a good job here.I can listen to it.yes ozzy sings these songs better then anyone else just as halford sings judas songs better then anyone else.though i think ozzies voice is more unique

  • @smithdsmit BS Ozzy never had a great voice and the reason Halford and Dio sound like shit singing Ozzy songs is because the where written for someone with no range or power. The songs are vocally simple and completely flat staying at the same register from start to finish.

  • @rpgdude2008 well I think ozzy sounded great on his sabbath stuff and at least the first few solo albums. when i seen him in 99 he was spot on. I know halford has more range. but halford doesnt sound that great these days. i seen judas in 2008 and halford was limited in what he could sing.it still rocked. but why knock ozzy. he made some great records and his voice fit the songs p[erfectly

  • @smithdsmit have you heard him in 2011? no? shut the fuck up then

  • @956crazyman19 Geeze Calm down. It's not that big of a deal.So I like Ozzy.Whats wrong with that? The guy has been playing metal since i was 2 and im 45 now.Sure he doesnt sound as good as he did 30 yrs ago.who does?I also Like Dio and Halford.Just because Ozzy got old doesnt mean im not going to be a fan.So you dont like the albums master of reality,Or sabbath Bloody sabbath. How about sabbatoge or Blizzard of Ozz.?They are metal masterpieces and im proud to be an ozzy fan

  • @smithdsmit i wansnt saying anything about ozzy you idiot i was just saying halford sounds good now idk what was going on in 2008 for halford but his voice got so much better

  • @rpgdude2008 im not going to argue. ozzy made some of the greatest metal records ever made. so did halford. im sure both sing better then you

  • @khogan311 it was also after doing a full set of priest

  • @khogan311 So well put... You forgot to mention the Ian Gillan years. He's a great singer too. But...just didn't sound right in Sabbath.

  • @khogan311 You dont need to explain anything, man, just say "no one can say shit about the metal gods" and that's it!

  • Halford looks like Humpty Dumpty with a goatee. But Humpty Dumpty sounds better...

  • fuckin' great men, this is historical

  • not good

  • its sad when a god has lost his voice , Cred to him anyway

  • Kinda funny...sounds like Rob is doing Black Sabbath Karaoke!!! lol :D

  • Poor Rob, this song just isn't for him.

  • @TheRockinJeans Yes! It was so cool of him to fill in, but this is Ozzy's song. He sounds like he's straining a bit too though. His voice sounds wore out. Had Priest just done a set? That would explain a lot.

  • @drockkclapton Yes, this was after the Priest set.

  • @drockkclapton Yes, as I know, Priest had just done their set. So his voice was probably tired.
